My husband and I stayed in this condo in April of 2012 for 8 nights and it was a wonderful stay! The location cannot be faulted, we were lucky enough to see whales from our balcony. The condo was even better than the pics; clean, neat, tidy, modern and so comfortable. I cannot complement this place enough! We where in walking distance from Duke's Resturant which had a great ocean view. The condo is a short drive away from downtown Lahina with all its great shops and resturants. This was our first trip to Maui and we are already planning our trip back. Galina was so easy to deal with and the whole transaction was seamless. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat unless we have the kids with us. Who would I recommend this place to? Everyone!

My husband and I stayed at this condo for 3 weeks. When we arrived we discovered a broken toilet seat. I called the owner and it was fixed by her cleaning service that day. We encountered no issues with this condo and enjoyed once a week cleaning service during our stay. It is true the condo contains everything you could imagine. Boogie board, beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. The kitchen also was well equipped. During the 3 weeks we did not need to run out and buy any item (except food of course!). I have stayed at the Mahana many times in the past and can say this condo and owner was one of the nicest. In past rentals I have been left with no cleaning service, one roll of toilet paper, broken and missing items. So to find everything well cared for and supplied enhanced this vacation. Amazing from beginning to end...

This was my second trip to Maui, first time in this condo, and was completely satisfied with this rental. It is as described and better. The condo was in excellent condition and offered amazing/breathtaking views both morning and evening. I photographed over 1000 whales breaching and many were of mother and baby breaching simultaneously. Also many turtles, dolphins, monk seals... The location is wonderful for observing all forms of wild life. It is only minutes away from spectacular snorkeling and hiking. Along with a great selection of restaurants and shopping. Please do not hesitate to rent this condo, if I could give more stars to show a higher rating I would. I will be back to Maui and staying here again. :-)

Lovely Mahana

The view from this very comfortable condo is spectacular! It is wonderful to sit on the balcony and watch the whales. It would be tough to be any closer to the ocean and we fell asleep every night listening to the waves. We love the Mahana and have visited many times before. The pool and surrounding area has recently been totally redone. The condo was very clean and equiped nicely.

We stayed at the Mahana For 10 nights during Christmas Holiday. The Mahana is a wonderful condo with a comfortable Aloha feeling. We loved our studio unit. It was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we fell asleep listening to the ocean, that is just feet away. The view is absolutely breath taking. The Times grocery store is close, you can walk or drive to some amazing restaurants, and shopping. I can't wait to go back again!!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Maui. The unit has amazing views of the ocean which were a delight to wake up to every morning. The property description is accurate and there is just about everything that one needs at the property. My wife and I prepared several dinners and were happy with the availability of dishware, etc. The beach itself is picturesque and a walking path steps away provides easy access to the rest of Kaanapali. The owners checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. All in all a great vacation.

25th Anniversary From Wisconsin

My wife and I had been to Hawaii 3 times prior and were looking forward to going back for our 25th Anniversary. We had never stayed in a condo before so we were really looking forward to the change. What a wonderful surprise. The room was all that we could have asked for. For the price you won't find a better value on the island. And for those who are worried about handling this kind of transaction over the internet - You can stop. The process was smooth and went without a hitch. All in all it turned out to be our best trip ever. We're already planning Trip number 5 and this room will be on the top of our list! Thanks Galina & Alex

This was our third trip to the Hawaii Islands and our first stay at this condo for two glorious weeks from May 7-20, 2011. This was the best vacation we have ever had! We enjoyed the million dollar view from the lanai, with the islands of Lanai on our left, Molokai on our right and the Pacific Ocean at our feet. On the lanai we enjoyed morning coffee and spectacular sunsets. We were able to watch sea turtles, schools of fish and a monk seal swim by in the water below. The condo was comfortable and easy to keep clean. It is well equipped with appliances and kitchen utensils. It was nice to be welcomed with a small bag of coffee in the coffee maker to get us started the next morning. The Mahana is conveniently located near an ABC store, Farmers Market, Fish Market and a very nice Times Super Market which also has a deli and a bakery. No need to fight the crowds at Costco. Within a short stroll to the south is the Hanua Kai Resort with Duke's Restaurant and the Ka'anapali Beach Club with the Ono Grill and Bar to the north. We recommend both places to dine. Other shopping is only a short driving distance. The beach side boardwalk begins at the access gate between the Mahana and the Hanua Kai and runs all the way to the south end of Ka'anapali Beach. The dreamy beach gets sandier and the water calmer as you go south from the Mahana. There is very good snorkeling in front of the Hanua Kai and the Ka'anapali Shores resorts. The only thing we were disappointed with was having to go home. Thank you Alex and Galina for sharing your condo with us. You are right, why would we want to stay anywhere else? We are looking forward to returning!

We stayed in Alex and Galina's condo recently and were more than impressed. Galina made the rental process easy and was there to answer any question I had. The check in was painless and the condo was no only clean but beautiful with a wonderful view. The fully stocked kitchen along with the BBQ's downstairs came in handy especially since there is a grocery store within walking distance. We couldnt have stayed in a nicer, more affordable place in all of beautiful Maui! Thank you Galina and Alex.

My wife and I had not stayed at a studio before but decided to try one. This uiit exceeded our expectations, The layout was comfortable and the ammenities were all we could ask for. The kitchen was well stockked with dishes and utensils, most importantly a spatula for bar'b'.quing. There was a beach mat and ice chest for trips out. The bed was comfortable and there was room for dinning on the patio as well as inside.

We stayed at this condo at the end of October, and our expectations were more than satisfied. An extremely well kept, uptodate place, with a gorgeous view-yes, just like the picture on the website. We made alot of our meals at home as the kitchen was charming and modern. Awesome, very comfortable big bed, probably the comfiest in my travels over the years. We met several other visitors in the hot tub on different occasions, and having listened to some of their complaints about their lodgings, I felt extremely lucky:) definitely made our trip a big success, and hope to get back again for another visit.

Stayed at Alex and Galina's condo for ten perfect days. We couldn't have been happier. Easy check-in, beautiful " clean" condo, beautiful views....what more could you ask for. Had breakfast overlooking the ocean every morning before our walk on the beach. Take boardwalk (starts one hotel to the south) all the way down the beach. Everyone at Mahana very helpful. Pool area clean and not crowded ... always chairs available. Our stay was perfect in every way... hope to be back soon. Thanks for sharing your lovely condo with us.

My family and I stayed at Alex and Galina's oceanfront condo for 10 days in June. WOW, what a wonderful experience! The owners made the reservation process painless and answered all of our questions. When we arrived, the condo was clean, in perfect order, and had everything that we needed to have a great experience. The views were gorgeous and we spent quite a bit of time looking out into the ocean from the balcony especially during sunset. The beach is right in front of the building with a very nice pool and new BBQ grills. The location offers privacy as well as convenient and quick access to a grocery store as well as others. We highly recommend this place to anyone and cant wait to come back again as soon as possible. Thank you Alex and Galina!

We had the privilege of staying in this wonderful condo for 19 days in February, 2010. The owners are incredible as they phoned us many times to make sure everything would be perfect for us and it was! It became our home away from home. The condo has a full kitchen and we didn't lack a thing. There were many small things we appreciated like the fact that they provided us with coffee filters for the machine, the fridge has an ice machine, lovely dishes and martini glasses, and the view from the kitchen was spectacular. We found the suite to be immaculate and liked the simplicity of the suite which made it very easy to keep clean. Our favorite place was to sit on two very cozy chairs on the lanai overlooking the ocean - awesome! We highly recommend this place to anyone and can assure you that the owners will have your best interests at heart. Thank you Galina and Alex for sharing your second home with us!

Spent our honeymoon and paradise and din't have to break the bank. What can I say than what an amazing place. Great location, clean room, lobby, hot tub, and pool. 10th floor beachfront was the best view of anywhere on the island. Every day was sunny and great location close to everything. Blackrock within walking distance. Lahaina in 10 mins or Napili in 10 mins. Groceries right across the street. Walk over to the Beach Club and watch the luau or hang out at the bar. Everyone is very friendly. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great time.

My husband and I stayed in the condo in October 2009. HEAVENLY VIEWS, RELAXING, STRESS-FREE!!! I would use these adjectives to describe my May 30, 2009, to June 15, 2009, stay at Alex and Galina's oceanfront condo. First, Galina made the reservation process painless and was available to answer all of my questions before, during, and now after (about a future stay), my stay. Second, the condo was clean and orderly when we arrived; we literally unpacked and sat on the balcony for a refreshing nap. Although the bed is comfortable, like my home bed, and is placed next to the balcony door so the ocean can lull one to sleep, for my mom, nothing beat being on the balcony. We ate breakfast on the balcony, and then, I would head to the pool or beach for a few hours, but my mom saw no need to leave the balcony; it had everything she needed a comfy chair, an incredible view, access to the amenities of the condo, and privacy. In addition, locals commented that the Mahana is a prime location. Lastly, we are pre-planning our next trip to Maui and have already told Galina we are thinking of a 2 - 3 week stay.

Our stay in Maui at the Alex and Galina’s Mahana condo was wonderful. It has a great location on the Kaanapali beach and provides an extremely comfortable stay. The unit is well maintained and is very nicely furnished. Galina was extremely helpful throughout the process of reserving the unit and during our time of stay. Our 7 days stay at Mahana 1003 has been a wonderful experience. Galina and Alex are great people to work with. Due to bad weather, our flight to Maui got cancelled at last minute. I was feeling so disappointed that my vacation would be cut one day short. I called Galina and told her what happened, Galina and Alex were very sweet and offered to extend my stay in their condo, which made us feel so much happier. After we arrived in the unit, we are extremely satisfied - everything is exactly the same as described on the website. The room is very clean with all necessary amenities you’ll think of. The beach is right in front of the building with nice pool and BBQ facilities. We are able to see sunset from the Lanai, which was gorgeous. We definitely enjoyed our stay there and we would recommend it to anyone we know!

My partner and I stayed in this apartment in Feb 2009 for 3 nights and it was the best time of our entire trip! This unit was perfect for our week-long stay! Great amenities with both the room and the facility, extremely clean and absolutely gorgeous view! Owner made the renting experience both easy and convenient, not to mention the rates were very reasonable. Kaanapali is the place to stay on Maui if your looking for beautiful beachfront. I highly recommend this location & unit!

We stayed in Galina's condo for 15 days in May. It was perfect. The condo had everything we needed. The veiw is unforgetable. The Mahana's location is great. Galina could not be any nicer. This condo has it all. It is an excellent condo for a great price. I have and will continue to recommend it to everyone. I would not think of staying anywhere else.

We stayed in this condo for the first week of March. The condo was exactly as pictured on the website. The front desk was helpful and courteous. The pool is small but who cares, the ocean is wonderful. The beach is clean and you can walk for long distances if you choose. Being on the 10th floor, we slept with the patio doors open every night. No need for air conditioner. The sound of the waves was very soothing. We took several tours from the condo. Everything went well for each tour. Pickup was prompt and the tour was as promised. We watched whales from the lanai anytime we were in the condo (binoculars are great to have). We especially enjoyed the sunsets. They were too beautiful to describe. We would recommend this unit to anyone thinking of vacationing on Maui.

I just returned from ten wonderful days at Mahana #1003. I found the unit to be exactly as advertised on VRBO, and liked it so much that I've already reserved for a return visit next January. The condo had everything I could wish for, and more. The view was spectacular, and I could see whales every day from the lanai. The kitchen was well stocked for my needs, and I loved having the washer/dryer in the unit. I would highly recommend this condo for any single or couple wanting a great Maui experience. Galina was great to work with, and I can't wait until next year and my return visit!!

We stayed for nine nights during the first half of February, 2008. We had a wonderful time. We love the ocean front location of the Mahana because we like to visit during whale season. The Mahana is a great combination of all ocean front units without the high prices of units at Kaanapali and other properties. The unit was clean, well equipped and up to date. The flat screen TV was great. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping to the sound of the waves. We used the kitchen every day and found it well equipped. We used the folding chairs that were in the closet on a couple of our day trips. We would highly recommend the Mahana and this unit to anyone interested in a well-located condo in Maui with ocean front location and great views. The grounds are being updated with a new jacuzzi and beautiful stone flooring.

We vacationed there for 20 days in Jan & Feb 2008. Everything in the room was perfect. Plenty of Linens, Towels, cooking utensils Etc. As usual we spent many hours on the Lanai watching the whales perform out in the channel. Make sure you take your binoculars and zoom cameras. Great fun. Great people to deal with. Everything was just as advertised!

We loved our stay at Galina's condo. We kept the curtains open day and night as there is total privacy on the ocean. We would go to sleep under the stars and wake up to ocean waves and rainbows. We would definetly stay at this condo again. A new comfortable mattress was the only thing missing but everything else was perfect.

My husband and I stayed in this condo in November 2007. It was nicely furnished and well equipped with everything we needed. The hot and powerful shower was very good for getting off sun screen and sand! Near to beautiful beaches and within driving distance of many great restaurants. The balcony was perfect for breakfast. We didn't use the pool because it was being renovated, but the sea was great for swimming! Would love to stay again if we ever came back to Hawaii.

My husband and I stayed at the Mahana Condo & it was the best time of our life! We were celebrating our 7th anniversary & couldn't have asked for a more beautiful view of the ocean. The room was very clean, and having the kitchenette and washer/dryer was so convenient. I would recommend this unit to everyone. It was so incredible to wake up to that view everyday. We stayed for 14 beautiful nights in Galina's condominium at the Mahana. We stayed at the Mahana in 2006 as well, but decided to rent directly from an owner this year, at a huge savings for the exact same floor plan. We were delighted with the clean and well-furnished condo. The view is fantastic, and the location is great as the Mahana is so close to many amenities and excellent beaches and snorkel spots. We would definitely rent from Galina again in the future. The Mahana is our favourite Hawaii vacation spot.

We stayed here in June 2007 - excellent location, excellent views, fantastic value. Great snorkeling just up (or down) the beach. The studio is very nice - more room and much nicer furnishings than a standard hotel room, so a better deal. We'd definitely stay here again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in March of 2007. The 10th floor ended up being spectacular as the palm trees blocked the wonderful view of the ocean and sunset the lower floors. It was great being right off of the elevator for quick access and so much nicer than staying in a hotel, because we didn't have the closing of hallway doors all the time. The unit was perfect, clean and we just enjoyed our entire stay. We hope to return and would stay here again. Thanks again. Randy & Tammy Helzer

Totally enjoyed our stay Feb 24th thru March 5th at the Mahana. Unit 1003 was in a perfect location, conveniently located off the elevator but we never heard an outside sound. In fact, it was so quiet we were beginning to wonder if we had the whole floor to ourselves. We have visited the Islands many times and have never stayed in a condo or used vrbo to book a stay. But, this was a perfect combination as the owner was splendid to work with, the Mahana is in a wonderful location and I don't think we'll ever go back to hotel resort style accommodations in Hawaii again. What we also liked was NOT having daily maid service and all of the interruptions and intrusions associated with a hotel stay. It was bliss to be able to sleep with the sound of the waves, watching the whales from dawn to dusk and having a cute kitchen to prepare a quick breakfast in the morning and then enjoy a mai tai on the balcony in the evening. Don't be disappointed, the studio units at the Mahana are small but yet large enough to be comfortable. The balcony and views were most important to us so this unit did not disappoint. We would book again without hesitation. I miss it already.

We stayed in your lovely condo from January 12-19 and had a wonderful time. The views from the lanai were awesome especially since it was whale season. The condo was very clean and updated with modern fixtures. The farmers market was a short walk and convenient for obtaining fresh fruits and vegetables and the grocery store was right across the street. We would definitely rent from you again!!!

I stayed in this condo from Jan.1-10 and it was wonderful! Very clean, quiet and so well equipped. Convient location to grocery, shopping, restaurants etc. There are also 2 internet staions in the lobby if you didn't bring a laptop. Hearing the sound of the waves going to sleep at night and the first thing when you wake up was so calming. The view from the lanai is amazing. On one of my last days, I woke up to a grey and wet day, but when I walked out onto the lanai there was the most amazing rainbow and 3 whales so close to shore. It took my breath away. Galina was great with filling me in on what there was to do on Maui and followed up with me after my trip. I will definitely stay here again refer it to others. I had a wonderful time! My husband and I stayed in this suite for our honeymoon in June 2006. The ocean views were amazing and very romantic. The studio had everything we needed, and hearing the waves outside made the trip complete. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Maui!

Our stay at the Mahana #1003 was fabulous! This was our first time in Hawaii, and #1003 was just perfect. View was incredible, and the ocean sounds lulled us to sleep. Unit is small, but was more than plenty of room for my husband and I. New kitchen with all amentities, even blender for great POG & papaya smoothies. Unit was very clean and was close to the elevator, but we never heard noise from other guests. Good central location of the Mahana too. Would have no hesitation in going back to #1003 - owners are very attentive to making sure their guests have a wonderufl stay at #1003 and in Maui. Mahalo Galina and Alexander!

We stayed in this unit Oct. 1-3, and it was great, we loved it! The room is nice and very clean, updated, gorgeous floor to ceiling ocean view, and all the amenities we needed. Convenient location to grocery store, restaurants, shopping, etc. The owner is wonderful about following up with you if you have any questions or need anything, and they were very helpful to me! We highly recommend #1003!
