We recently traveled to the Cubby Den for a family weekend getaway. The cabin was in great condition, very clean and well maintained! It was very close to Dollywood, which was the main reason we traveled up for the weekend, so it was very convenient. I personnally did not go to the pool, but some others in our family did and said it was great also. We did have an issue with linens, but called for assistance and it was taken care of. Overall, we would stay there again!

Recommended for:Families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin was wonderful! We had 16 stay and had plenty of room. The front porch was really nice! The location is great too. We were able to get right to Dollywood without dealing with the traffic. The staff was also very friendly and accomodating!

This reasonably priced and beautifully spacious cabin exceeded my expectations! Everything was so clean and comfortably decorated to give that wonderful "like-home" feeling. With 3.5 baths and 6 bedrooms, the cabin could very comfortably fit twice the amount of people. The view is just gorgeous, neighborhood is quiet, and location is perfectly positioned close enough to all major attractions, but far enough to have that cozy-cabin-in-the-woods feel. The cabin was fully equipped with any and all household amenity desired, all I had to bring was the food. Absolutely can't wait to vacation here again, and have already reserved my next stay here!

Immaculate Cabin

The cabin was beautiful, the pictures did not do it justice. The view in the morning is breathtaking. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room. We cooked dinner one night and made breakfast every morning. The kids enjoyed playing pool and the Nintendo 64. The hot tub on the porch was a wonderful way to relax after a long day of walking. We will definitely be coming back during the summer, the cabin is located right behind Dollywood, but they were not open when we were there. All in all the cabin was immaculate, I highly recommend staying there. We are already planning our next visit.

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with all our children and grandchildren. If you need a large cabin, this is a must. It's everything they say and more. Beautiful, sleeps a lot, close for shopping, church and the kids loved the pool table and we adults loved hot tub. Angel is the sweetest lady and always available for anything you need to ask. WE WIILL BE BACK AND REFER TO OTHERS. THANKS FOR A LOVELY VACATION. It is furnished so nice, beds comfortable, beautiful towels and everything you need in the kitchen. Priced good for a large group. Beautiful scenery, in mountains, but good roads, great place for famly pictures.

Church Youth Retreat 2011

Staying at the Cubby Den was a great experience for our small church youth group. We had 11 kids and 5 adults and the cabin was accommodating to our crowd. We found the cabin very clean and enjoyed the convenience of the location. Working with the owner was a very positive experience and created the desire to stay in this cabin again. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and the games available in the cabin. Our group enjoyed trips to the Wonderworks museum, the Nascar cafe, Huck Finn's Catfish House, and the Western Sizzlin Wood Grill Buffet. Their favorite part of the trip, however, was the indoor pool. We did have an exciting visitor one night! One of the chaperones was awakened by noise on the front porch. He never saw anything, but the next morning we found 3 of 5 ceiling fan blades were gone. We were only able to find 2 of them with one under our van parked out front. That's the fun of staying in the mountains! You never know what kinds of critters are around - seen or unseen.

Outstanding Getaway for All!

We stayed in the Cubby Den August 2-3 and had a fabulous time. We are Dollywood fans and we were able to take advantage of our season passes and stay late at the park. It is so convenient to anything in the Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge area. We spent one day in Gatlinburg and the others at Dollywood. Staying at the cabin was comfortable, and relaxing. We avoided long lines and were able to get takeout from a great local restaurant and "eat in" hot food! (there was an hour wait at the restaurant, but not for us!) The cabin had everything we could need. It was clean and welcoming. My children (5 and 7) had a blast while enjoying the hot tub, cable tv, the pool table and all the comforts of home. There is ample room for big families. We also used the onsite pool. The view at sunset is absolutely stellar. This property would be a great choice if you had a big group or just a small family that likes space. Enjoy the mountains and the National Park while still having access to all the other attractions.

Our family of 10 just finished 3 great nights at the "Cubbie Den". It has everything you need, and more to enjoy this woderful part of our country. The home is tastefully decorated, very comfortable and the view from the front porch is fantastic!. It is very close to Dollywood and the parkway, but secluded in a quiet and beautiful resort. We will be back!

Our Week at the Cubby Den

We stayed in the Cubby Den from June 15th through June 20th. Our group of 14 had a great time visiting the area attractions and mountains. The Cubby Den was a nice base of operations from which to explore the area. It is very convenient to Dollywood as well as the Pigeon Forge strip.

Great family reunion in Cubby Bear

My family visited Cubby Bear for a week this past June/July and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cabin was clean, well stocked with towels and linens, and perfect for our needs. We had enough bedrooms so that each couple could have privacy and the teens enjoyed having space to themselves, too. The front porch was delightful in the evenings (no mosquitos!) and we had more than enough nearby things to do every day! The teens enjoyed the pool table and video gaming as well as all of the nearby attractions. We came here instead of our usual Gulf Coast AL vacation (20 yr. tradition) because of the Deep Water oil spill, but no one in our group missed the beach because there are so many water sports around and the swimming pool! The location was ideal for us because we came in from 3 different states and none of us had to drive more than 6-8 hours to get there. We saved a ton of $$ on our rental (usually we have to rent two condos to fit everyone!) Loved it and hope to come back next year! Deborah - Raleigh, NC

10-2-09 We had 13 family members on our TN vacation! Your house was perfect for us! We all had our own bedroom and lots of room to spread out. It was a great location, only minutes to everything! If we could ask for anything for our next trip, it would be for more towels, pillows,and toilet paper.

My family stayed at The Cubby Den in early August and really enjoyed our stay. That was the second time we have rented the Den and are planning to go back next summer. We love the TV's in the bedrooms and the pool table with flat screen TV in the loft area. The Cubby Den is only 5 minutes away from Dollywood and Spalsh Country but, it is tucked away on the side of the mountain in a nice private resort area. PS...We added a bear to the collection over the mantel. We like to think of The Cubby Den as our summer mountain place.

What better way to spend an autumn weekend then in a beautiful cabin in the mountains with wonderful friends? The cabin was perfect with a warm cozy feel to it. It was clean, beautiful, and all the amenities we needed to make it an enjoyable and relaxing time. I definitely want to come back!

We had a smashing 2009 New Year in the Cabin, The location is perfect, on Dollywood land, 2 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge and 5 miles from Gatlinburg, The house is spacious, and it is easy to access in any kind of weather. The tub is nice and hot, the pool is perfect even with a rainy 40 degree day...... Love the gas fire place with timer.... The bedrooms are spacious and the bunk beds were a hit with small and big kids. The open kitchen made it easy to entertain.

We shared the cabin with family and friends, and we had a great time. The pool table and video game kept the kids entertained. The cabin is close enough to all the action of Pigeon Forge that we could go out for some shopping and get back together for meals. It was great. Highly recommended!

Our stay at The Cubby Den was awesome! The cabin was cozy and made us feel at home. We all came over from Miami, FL. We're a group of 22. During our stay we visited many places like: Ripley's Aquarium, Gatlinburg, and skiing. We also went on a helicopter tour and go-kart racing. For most of us it was the first time seeing snow. It was a memory we'll never forget. The cabin's site was beautiful. It reminded us of our native country in Costa Rica!! We hope to be back and be able to write in this book once again.

Thank You! We had a great time and nice weather. We all enjoyed the cabin very much! While here we visited the Boyd's Bear Country and adopted 4 baby bears to take back to Pensacola, Florida with us. We also went to Dollywood, Dolly's Dixie Stampede, Gatlinburg, as well as many shops. The kids mined their own gemstones and saw the bears. We had a great trip!

We spent the weekend with our close friends at The Cubby Den...6 couples in all and 3 children. The guys enjoyed playing on 2 different golf courses in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area. The ladies enjoyed shopping at the outlets. Evenings consisted of relaxing in the jacuzzi, playing pool, cards and watching football. Plenty of room and very cozy by the fireplace in the winter.
