Private, luxurious two story townhouse in small, upscale 36-unit Tamarack Townhouses property. Located across the street from new Base Village and Treehouse Kid's Adventure Center, approximately 200 yard walk to Village Express high-speed chairlift and Sky Cab gondola. In the center of the Tamarack complex are two large private outdoor hot tubs and a heated outdoor pool.

Our unit, Tamarack #5, was completely renovated "down to the studs" including new bathrooms, new kitchen and new furniture, before the 2001 season. The kitchen is fully-equipped with Calphalon cookware, dishwasher and microwave. A new full size front-loading washer/dryer set and a high-efficiency forced air furnace with central humidifier have also been added.

The kitchen and living room are on the main level, and the bedrooms are upstairs. The master suite is large and has a Simmons Beautyrest king-size bed, gas fireplace, TV and private bathroom. The second bedroom is smaller and has 2 Simmons Beautyrest extra-long twin beds, TV and view of slopes.

No smoking permitted, no pets allowed.

  • Tamarack 5 is the best value in Snowmass. The condo is updated, immaculate, comfortable, and well-appointed. The walk to the base is short and easy for our two kids, ages 9 and 12. This was the first time we didn't feel we overpaid for a dumpy unit in Snowmass. We plan to book Tamarack 5 again.

  • We've been enjoying Snowmass since the 1970s. It's a great place for a family ski vacation with an excellent ski school for the kids (ours are now grown but still love to visit) and plenty of trails for all levels of skiers. It also makes a great base of operations for summer trips. We almost always stay at Tamarack. Tamarack 5 has become our favorite of that group. Its location is convenient to the shuttles and it is on the quiet side of the Tamarack grouping. It's well-appointed, clean, and a nicely sized unit for a group of 4. John and Katherine are easy to work with and dependable hosts.

  • Tamarack 5 is beautifully furnished, conveniently located, and reasonably priced. The owners are very easy to deal with. We have been coming to Snowmass for years, and whenever possible, we always try to stay at Tamarack 5.
