We really enjoyed our vacation at this Gatlinburg Getaway. The pictures on the website really do it justice. The house is located right inside the city of Gatlinburg, so it is literally 2 minutes from everything. We have a family of 4, so our kids were thrilled to have a room of their own and not have to share. There is so much to do in the surrounding area, but the house was so nice we spent a lot of time just hanging out and relaxing. I would highly recommend this place for your stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/6

Our stay at Mountainbrook was just what my family needed. After several months of a lot of stress we were looking for a peaceful place to come together and just enjoy each others company. We found that at Mountainbrook. It is so peaceful and relaxing there and the scenery is just beautiful. Our daughters asked if we could move there. It is a great place for families with plenty to do. We played board games, shot pool, went hiking and went to the strip every night for ice cream:-). It is located just about 25 miles from Cade's Cove as well. We drove there for an afternoon and saw deer, turkeys, a coyote and even a bear cub. If you are looking for a great place for a family get away this is a great place to go. I can't wait to go back and enjoy this beautiful home again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for kind review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay! Cindy and Frank

This chalet has it all!!! You have the babbling creek, creekside porch and windows, privacy, and a convenient 2 minute drive to the middle of downtown Gatlinburg. It's amazing how you can feel tucked away in the beautiful mountains yet be so close to town. The furnishings seem to be professionally done, and the mattresses in EVERY bedroom give you the best night's sleep we've ever had in a rental. We had couples in every bedroom, and children in the sunroom. Everyone was pleased with the beds and the bathrooms. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen, and the kids LOVED the selection of electronic games. We also enjoyed the movie and board game selections. I would recommend this chalet for anyone, and it will definitely become our family tradition to stay here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We enjoy hearing from our guests and are glad that you had a great time in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Please stay with us again in the future. Cindy and Frank

We rented Mountain Brook for our entire family (our adult children, their significant others and our siblings) for 6 days and couldn't have been more satisfied. The cabin has everything you could possibly want. The pictures on the website do not do it justice! We loved the location--peaceful but yet close to town. We only had 2 cars for 9 adults, so being so close to the trolley stop was a plus for us. We were all able to do "our own thing" when we wanted but still all hang out together when we wanted that as well. Sitting on the deck in the morning, enjoying my morning cup of coffee while listening to the brook was so relaxing for me. You would never know you were so close to town. Some of us went hiking in the park while others went shopping in town. We all went white water rafting and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on that excursion. Our one regret is that we didn't have more time--there was so much we didn't get to do. We would definitely rent here again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and that you took the time to share your experience. Mountainbrook was the perfect setting for our family vacation! Like the other reviews have said, location is perfect! We could be looking over the balcony at Dudley Creek and within a couple of minutes be in the heart of Gatlinburg. The house is so beautiful with everything there that you could possibly need. In particular, the layout of the house was excellent. The kitchen/dining/living room were wide open for large gatherings, but there were plenty of getaway spaces if you were looking for peace and quiet. We had a wonderful time at Mountainbrook and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect Smoky Mountain getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Mary for your great review! You were such great guests and we enjoyed having you and your family stay with us at Mountainbrook. We look forward to having you again in the future. Thank you for allowing me to help you plan the perfect vacation! Kelly

Couldn't have been more perfect! Mountain brook was the ideal setting for our family Christmas. I've rented many condos/homes along the way and this one far exceeded our expectations! Very very clean - had everything we needed, and the location was close to town but tucked in right on the creek surrounded by beautiful trees. Privacy was high on our must have list and this was private and serene. We would sit out in the rocking chairs and all you would hear was the babbling brook..so peaceful.. We had so much fun playing pool... my son thinks he will be a pool shark now lol. The game room with XBox, PS3, checkers, chess, and more gave the whole family something to do during our stay. We also watched a few movies from the video library... including the Christmas Story on the big screen TV. That movie is a tradition on Christmas Eve in our family. We all cozied up on the couch with a comfy blanket by the fireplace. It was like the feeling of a Norman Rockwell picture..just so homey and relaxing. Also the dining table was big enough for the whole family and it sits right by the window so you can see the creek..so enjoyable ! Kids got the upstairs bedrooms, so I snuck up to check on them late one night and they were reading a scary story from the bookshelf of books tucked in a little reading nook at the top of the stairs. The owners are wonderful people..so sweet and a pleasure to talk with..couldn’t have been better . Don’t hesitate...grab this place while you can...it really is a Magical place ! I have been coming to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for 23 years and have never stayed at a nicer place than this cabin! Very close to downtown for convenience but because it is located in a grove/hollow by the creek it feels miles away. The accommodations were superb and felt like a home away from home. Also, the furnishings were beautiful. Its many windows along the creek had me gazing into the beauty of the forrest often. We did not want to leave! A MUST stay.....Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We feel very blessed to own Mountainbrook and to be able to share it with others. Hope you can stay with us again in the future. Frank and Cindy

My family, wife and two kids along with my parent in-laws stayed for a week and had a most wonderful time. The location was so close to Gatlinburg but at the same time secluded in it's own little area with the stream running by that it made you feel miles away from anything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, the spring flowers which were amazing and just relaxing at this beautiful rental. Really looking forward to another visit in such a lovely home. Thank you for making our visit one the whole family will remember.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much David for your review! We enjoyed having you as our guests. We hope we met your expectations and that you felt right at home. Please come stay with us again soon!
