We had a wonderful time in Angel Fire and Taos with family. The cabin is very comfortable, clean, and complete with everything you need. It is easy to access, convenient to the resort, and an easy drive to Taos -- yet still gives you the feeling of really being away from it all. Slept 6 adults and 2 kids comfortably. We would definitely recommend it, and I'm sure we'll be heading back ourselves.
Owner response:Thanks for choosing my vacation home! come back any time!

We have just returned from a delightful Thanksgiving week at the Plumpton house, which perfectly accommodated our family of eight and could have served a larger group. The home is lovely, as are the natural surroundings. It was delightful to have deer come right up to us and to be able to feed the Stellar Jays, Magpies, and Road Runners. Although there was snow on the ground the entire time, the house was warm and cozy with central heat. The abundant wood pile allowed us to enjoy a fire in the fireplace with no effort at all. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness and convenience of the home. It is well suited for "group time" and also for privacy. The bedrooms all have large closets and lots of drawer space, which eliminates "living out of a suitcase". The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for food preparation and service. The gas stove, refrigerator and microwave were clean and in good working order. I found it so convenient to have a washer and dryer. On my next visit I will be able to travel much lighter. It is truly a "home away from home" with the comfort and convenience of home and the feel and beauty of a resort. I can't wait to go back.

What a nice home to rent! All you need bring are your clothes! When we arrived, five deer were in the yard, and came up to eat apples out of my hand. It is about 4 minutes from the Angel Fire ski slopes, 35 minutes from the town of Taos, or the Red River ski slopes. Or if you were a Boy Scout, you are about 35 minutes from a visit to the Philmont Scout Ranch, or one hour to the NRA Whittington facility. The home was warm and vey comfortable for our family of six adults and two teens; with the fold out sofas four more could sleep in comfort. What a great visit we had in winter, now we want to return in summer for a visit. A two day trip by car from Lafayette, Louisiana

We spent a week and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is perfect, we could walk two blocks from the cabin and see elk with their babies. In fact our dog on one walk found the location where a baby elk was sleeping during the day. It is very convient to the forest road where we took some nice long hikes. Cimmaron Canyon is less than an hour away and we enjoyed hiking by a stream with beautiful waterfalls. In the afternoons we enjoyed sitting on the deck, relaxing, while looking at the beautiful view and listening to the birds and hummingbirds. When we did finally go inside we found the cabin very comfortable and spacious. Angel Fire is a fun place to visit during the summer. On the weekend they had a mountain bike activity and during the week we enjoyed the peace and quite. We can't wait to go again.
Owner response:Thank you! my house is your house, ANY time!

I went to visit New Mexico with friends. From Macau, a tropical and humid place, I was fascinated to see so much snow. It covered many green pine trees around the house, and made the cabin look like it was in a fairy story. Don’t know how to ski and stayed by myself, surprisingly enjoyed every bit. Came from a crazy busy city, I never imagined that holding a cup of hot baileys and soaking into an absolutely peaceful atmosphere could be that therapeutic. After friends came back from ski in the evening, the cabin became the party house. We found some kids sleds in the garage. My virgin sledding was at the drive way and half of me went straight into a big pile of snow. A lot of laughs. We enjoyed the stay. I am particular about cleanliness. I loved that the sheets smelled fresh. The house was spacious with a lot of beds. We think one thing make the house standout is the owner’s prompt response. He seems very proud of his house and happy to share and willing to answer all kinds of questions. After so many calls about the directions, we were surprised that he did not suggest us to rent a GPS. The only thing I don’t like is the down blanket. It was too warm and too puffy for me, maybe because I never used one before and not used to the fluffy feather thing. Definitely will go back to stay again. Maybe longer to learn ski.

We just stayed the first week in August at the Plumpton house and it was great! Highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's - so comfortable! The house was better than it shows on the website, plenty of room and lots and lots of extras!! We have stayed in many, many cabins and the kids all voted this one the best, they played outside in the yard the whole time with Wheeler Peak in the background. It was fantastic - thanks for sharing!!
Owner response:Thanks! It was great having you stay at my house! come back any time!

Thank you for keeping such a wonderful house for rent in Angel Fire. We came up for our kid's winter school break and brought the dogs too! The house was clean and in great condition, the views were stunning from your decks. We enjoyed the fireplace and satellite TV too! The huge (I mean WAY HUGE) sloped backyard and sleds you had in your garage were perfect for snow play for the kids and dogs. The barely 5 minute drive to the ski area was an added bonus. Angel Fire is our new ski destination of choice! We look forward to staying with you again next winter! Thanks again! Tami S

I drove over 10 hours to get to the cabin from Dallas and let me tell you it was worth it. I have stayed at many of cabins in AF but this one takes the prize. Clean and new! Great experence and a restful time..

I have stayed in this house on two separate occasions and found it to be the perfect place to stay when in Angel Fire. All features and accessories brand new or like new. Close to everything, yet extremely quite and peaceful. Great value and highly recommend. A+.

When my husband told me we were going to stay in the moutains in New Mexico I pictured a modest cabin in the snow (this is what I'm use to visiting in CA). Was I wrong! This beautiful home was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. We visited with another couple and had a blast. I'm already planning to visit again in the summer with a group of friends and their kids. You won't be diappointed.

I just returned from a fantastic weekend in Angel Fire, and staying at this house was a wonderful experience. The house is very clean, located near all of the amenities in Angel Fire, and has fantastic views out each of the windows, including the view of Wheeler Peak from the Master Bedroom. The Angel Fire ski area is just a two or three minute drive away, and Taos only 25 minutes away. It truly is a peaceful and convenient place to enjoy the New Mexico high country.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your beautiful home in Angel Fire! It was just perfect and what a beautiful location! We truly had a blast and will always treasure our time there. The heaviest snowfall since 1989 and we were there! What a wonderful experience. We loved watching the Elk at night and early morning. Your home is beautiful and could not have been more perfect! The reality company was great to work with and very nice and convenient. Many thanks for working with us and allowing us to be in your home for Christmas. Once again it was AWESOME and we will always treasure our time there!

The house and town were amazing. My family and I enjoyed a week long visit this past December. The huge house had everthing we needed. Every appliance, kitchen stuff, and linen seemed to be brand new. Also the place was VERY clean. My family of 4 had plenty of room, we never even used the upstairs master suite which had huge bedroom, bathroom and office area. Angel Fire community was very nice also. Friendly people in town and at the ski area. The house is approx 1 mile from ski area. There is a golf course behind the house to be enjoyed during the summer. The only thing that could have made our stay better at the house and in Angel Fire is if we could had two weeks there instead of one. Chris Disher Lafayette, Louisiana
