Owner's Map of Point Reyes Station
My three brothers and I grew up in this ranch house which was built by our parents in 1950. The house was part of a working dairy until 2007. The ranch pasture lands have been purchased by the federal government and are being restored to wetlands as part of the Point Reyes National Seashore.
After the death of our parents we decided to convert the house to a vacation rental so that we could afford to maintain it and continue to have access to it for family members. Profits from the rental are used to fund scholarships for local high students.

This property provided a great weekend getaway I recently enjoyed with a group of friends. The photographs on this site show how nicely furnished the farmhouse is, but can't illustrate the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere there. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds very comfy. Then there are the common living areas where your group can all gather in one place or find a corner to read in or watch TV. And the kitchen makes cooking fun as there's lots of space for multiple cooks and/or helpers and most any pot or pan or appliiance you would ever need. To top it all off, the house is located right in Point Reyes Station. You can walk for coffee, to the bakery, good restaurants, a local grocery store and the wonderful Toby's Market. There's plenty of shopping, too, for those so inclined. As you can see, the house looks out on the fairly newly renovated wetlands area, which is lovely. You also have easy access to probably one of the best hiking areas in California, if not the whole United States. I hope to return to Waldo's Farmhouse soon and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone..

My foodie friends and I had a fabulous, relaxing, and exhilarating weekend at this great old family home! Dinner at Nick's, lunch at Osteria, (don't miss the fresh fruit & veggies at Toby's Barn or the bakery or the great Point Reyes Blue and Cowgirl Creamery cheeses)!!! We hiked, golfed and just toured the town. In the evening we put the fully-equipped kitchen and b-b-q to the test and produced some memorable meals, then relaxed around the fire and caught-up with each other. The beds are comfy, the pool refreshing, and there's room to stash your hubby in the den if he wants to watch a game! Great time was had by all and we're planning to make this an annual trek!

This ranch house and the family that owns it are wonderful. Jeanette has always been warm and responsive. Staying at their place, you feel like a local. During the summer and fall, it's great to go to the farmer's market then grill your fresh, local veggies and seafood for dinner. It has the best view in town: the newly restored wetlands and former dairy barn. The pool is also a true treat for kids and adults alike. With the four bedrooms, two living rooms, and huge kitchen/dining room, it's quite comfortable for multiple families or generation-spanning reunions. It's a great base from which to explore the Point Reyes area and surrounds.

What a wonderful stay! A beautiful location, so private and relaxing and yet so very close to the center of Pt. Reyes Station (a 5 minute walk if that!). The home is very spacious and immaculately maintained! The large picture windows enable you to enjoy the outdoors from within as well. The kitchen is truly gourmet and equipped with any kitchen untensil you could possibly need. All pictures on the website of the home both inside and out are accurate. They show roominess and comfort, and that's exactly what you will experience! Many hiking trails are close by as well as beautiful Tomales Bay. We enjoyed side trips such as Bear Valley, Chimney Rock, and the small villages of Tomales, Bolinas and Inverness. The owner was prompt and attentive to our questions. Communication was a pleasure. We would definitely recommend this property for others to enjoy, and we look forward to many trips back. What a find!
