This cabin goes by the name of "Papa Bear". This big "bear" is 2700 square feet & all wood interior ("tongue & groove") - bea-u-ti-ful! With room to spare, this cabin easily sleeps 14 people. Papa Bear is centrally located inside the Pigeon Forge area, near Wears Valley, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. No 4WD is needed to get to this great cabin!

As you step inside Papa Bear you will find the kitchen - fully equipped with pots, dishes, silverware, glasses, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. You will also find a park-style charcoal grill located in front of the cabin. The dining room table seats 6-8 people. In addition, a folding card table with 4 chairs is available for extra seating. Off of the kitchen is a secluded half bath with the washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. In the living room you will find a gas fireplace and Cable TV with a DVD player. You will also find a sleeper sofa that will sleep 2 people and a sitting chair for relaxing. On this same level, you find a master bedroom which has a king size bed, Cable TV, DVD player, and a full master bathroom. This bedroom also has a very roomy walk-in closet. View the mountains from one of two good sized decks on this level!

Going down to the lower level you will find 2 rooms. To the left is a gameroom which includes a regulation size pool table with bar table and stools. Also in this room you will find TWO SETS OF TWIN BUNKS, which will provide sleeping for 4. A full bathroom is off of this room. The room to the right of the stairway has a comfortable sofa and a chair along with Cable TV and DVD player. It also has a king size bed, which makes a perfect bedroom suite! The hot tub is located outside on the deck. You can sit and relax in real peace while enjoying the view!

Going up to the top level you will find 2 very large bedrooms on opposite sides of a short hallway; each having king size beds and Cable TV with DVD players. Each bedroom also has a very roomy walk-in closet. A full bathroom separates these 2 rooms.

You will want to spend quite a bit of time just relaxing in Papa Bear enjoying the peacefulness and beauty of the Smokies. Please call or email with any questions you may have - we would love to have you stay with us!

Note: Papa Bear is located right next to Mama Bear (our 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin) that sleeps up to 6 people. Rent both cabins for a bigger get-together or wedding party!

    Dear Karen, I just wanted to thank you for all your help in preparing to stay at Papa Bear Cabin. We had a great time with our extended family. The house was everything promised, and more! We were impressed with the location, the cleanliness and the amenities. If, and when, we return to Pigeon Forge, this cabin will definitely be at the top of our reservation list. The location was perfect. We spent the day at Dollywood and it was only a quick 10 minute drive from the house. We also enjoyed the fact that there were not other cabins too close by. The cabin was easy to get to with ample parking. Thanks again for your help!

  • We rented the cabin in September, 2009 as a group of church ladies. The cabin is exactly as the pictures! We had a great time and the cabin was awesome. We didn't want to leave! We would gladly stay in the cabin again.

  • We stayed in this cabin on March 12-15, 2009. We had a great time entertaining my husband's children and their children. In total, we had 16 people there. The teenagers and young kids had a great time in the game room with the pool table. With three floors, there was plenty of room for all of us without being on top of each other. The two covered decks in the back also gave more "breathing room". Everyone had a great time, no one left the cabin the entire week-end, but enjoyed being together and the peace and quiet!! We are already making plans to rent this cabin next year and make this a family event. Make sure you bring lots of towels and trash bags if you have this many people though, because we were using them quickly. Thanks for a great week-end to "bond" with family.

  • We rented this cabin in June 2007 and absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful cabin with a beautiful mountain view. Everything was in tiptop shape from the appliances to the furniture. We are reserving this cabin again this year and will definitely reserve again in the future.

  • My family rented Papa Bear in December 2006 for a Christmas get-together. We found it to be everything we expected. Very clean, somewhat secluded and just a great place to be with the family. Will glady rent again.
