My mother and I stayed in this apartment for 6 nights at the beginning of December. Our main focus was to explore Strasbourg and the Christmas markets and this apartment was the perfect location for that. Just steps away from any major site or activity one might want to do in the city of Strasbourg, and if we needed to use the tram it was just a block away! The apartment itself was sparkling clean and extremely comfortable. With 2 bedrooms and just 2 of us there was more than enough space. The living/dining/kitchen areas were comfortable too and we liked the open feel to the apartment. Even though the location is in the city center there was never an issue of outside noises, but we were there in December, so kept the windows closed. If we ever find ourselves back in Strasbourg we would stay there again. The owner, was a dream to work with, very responsive to all email inquires and follow-up questions. We had a perfect holiday!

This is a wonderful, immaculate, comfortable, perfectly located apartment in an unassuming building. We stayed for a week (two adults and our 9-year-old) and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Just what we needed as travelers: privacy, independence, and safety. Klara has thought of everything, from a room with Legos for kids to a fully equipped kitchen and sound system. A killer boulangerie on one side, and a friendly tavern on the other. The neighborhood is clean, fairly quiet, and feels untouristy. Steps away from the Strasbourg tram system and within walking distance of the train station. Klara is a very organized, responsible, and responsive owner. Thanks in large part to her, we would return to Strasbourg in a heartbeat.

My husband and I recently stayed in Klara's apartment. It is wonderful. The location is excellent and the facilities provided contribute to making your stay very comfortable. The property was very clean and the kitchen well-equipped. Klara always answered our emails very promptly. Strasbourg is a wonderful place to spend a week. If you have a car you can easily travel to the countryside. We really enjoyed our visits to Colmar and Selestat. We would recommend renting bicycles and taking the boat tour.

Having just returned from a week at this apartment, we have to say we would recommend it to anybody visiting Strasbourg. The kitchen was eqipped way beyond the standard expected of holiday rental accommodation. It is light and spacious. The beds are deliciously comfy. It was a bonus to have a lift right to the door. It is so quiet. We didn't hear a thing from neighbours or from outside. We loved going next door in the morning for our breakfast croissants. The lady there was so welcoming and encouraged us to use our limited French. It was so good to have so many supermarkets close at hand. We have to say that the photos of this apartment do not do it justice which made it a very pleasant surprise on our arrival. Karla was always so prompt in replying to emails and we would like to thank her for a most perfect week in the stunning city of Strasbourg. She even managed to provide us with perfect weather.

We had a wonderful stay in Strasbourg last April and I wanted to recommend this apartment to anyone visiting this beautiful city. My husband, teen-age son and I went to visit our daughter who spent a semester studying in Strasbourg. We loved the location of the apartment - it is close to restaurants and grocery stores and we could walk to many of the beautiful areas in the city. We rented a car and parked in a nearby parking garage and loved driving to Germany and through the small villages on the wine road in Alsace. Klara was very helpful and the apartment was well-equiped with everything we needed.

My mother and I stayed here in December 2010 and we were very keen to attend the Christmas market in Strasbourg and in nearby cities (Colmar, Basel, etc). However, the highlight was our stay in Strasbourg and in this lovely apartment. Every other review talks about the location and they could not be more correct - but the apartment itself was very relaxing, charming and spacious. The beds were nice and comfy, and the kitchen was excellent. The access to the tram to go to the train spoiled me. I would never stay anywhere else and hope somebody to return to Strasbourg and to this apartment! Many thanks to Klara for a great stay

We spent 4 days in this apartment and highly recommend it. It is clean, quiet, and right in the old town. It is very kid-friendly, Klara provided us with a crib for our 2-year old, and the apartment has many toys and kids' books in French and English. We drove to Strasbourg from Germany, so the fact that this apartment has a parking spot was a big bonus.

We just finished spending one week at Klara's apartment in Strasbourg and had a great experience. The spacious apartment is located in the Old City section of Strasbourg and is, literally, three blocks or less from the most important sites of the city. The city is walker-friendly. Strasbourg/Alsace is a great part of France to visit for the culture, the history and, of course, the food. The two-bedroom apartment was immaculate and in good repair throughout. On arrival, M. Laurent, the building concierge, made sure that we had a complete orientation to the apartment, the building and the area. The appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, etc.) were easy to use because of Klara's well-written instructions. Although the building is on an a lively street, the area was quiet by bedtime and remained so all night. The apartment was well-furnished, and the English-language TV stations and free telephoning to the US (!!) were an unexpected bonus to a traveler who had already been in France for three weeks. Klara was absolutely meticulous about responding to every email I sent about the rental. She is an excellent owner. The price of the rental was reasonable and much less than the cost of a hotel, with all the amenities of living in your own apartment. It is good value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to friends; I will rent it again when I go back to Strasbourg. Thanks and au revoir, Klara!! And au revoir M. Laurent!

We have just spent five days in this apartment, enjoying the special magic of Strasbourg at Christmastime. As noted by other rentors, the apartment is ideally located -- not only can you walk from it to the various sites of Strasbourg, but you also need to walk only a short distance to find restaurants, food stores, and, most importantly, a superb bakery. We had everything we needed in the apartment, and truly enjoyed the luxury of having a warm "home" to return to in the evenings.

We managed to fit 4 adults, a 3 yr old, and a 1 yr old comfortably in this apartment. The apartment was perfectly located and it was just as cute as in the pictures. Klara was very quick with responding via email, and Mr. Laurent, even with the language barrier, was very helpful upon arrival. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed in this apartment in July 2009 and had a wonderful time. Klara was very helpful and responsive before we arrived, and Mr. Laurent, the Concierge, was super nice and helpful once we were there. Mr. Laurent does not speak a lot of English, but Klara has a binder of information in English and French, which is most useful. The apartment is quite large, especially by French standards. It is ideally located for exploring the more quaint areas of Strasbourg on foot, and only a block from the tram for those areas further away. There are many restaurants and shops within minutes (and a boulangerie two doors down that has great pastries). The parking space in the garage is extremely valuable as parking is very hard to find. (If you are renting a car, I suggest a small one.) If you do arrive by car, be sure to have Klara's instructions on how to get to the apartment as Strasbourg is not easy to get around with all its one-way and pedestrian streets. Our kids liked the English channels on the TV, and if you have younger children, they will surely like the games and toys available for them to play with. The kitchen is well-equipped and a good size if you wish to cook in. We recommend this apartment for anyone, especially for families. Thanks Klara for a wonderful visit!

We stayed in this apt. for a week in June 2009. I echo all the positive comments here -- the apt. is comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly situated in the lively heart of Strasbourg (yet the master bedroom is very quiet; we slept soundly every night). Perfect location for walking everywhere, seeing the sights, and enjoying life in lovely Strasbourg. The apt. is surrounded by an endless array of shops, eateries and markets. Only 15 min. walk or 5 min. tram ride to the train station. Everything was as described and pictured. The owner, Klara, is very responsive and answered all questions promptly. Likewise, the on-site manager was helpful and responded immediately to any needs. Merci, Klara, for a wonderful visit!

I am also an opera singer and stay in apartments all over the world. I was in this one over a month and found it cozy and lovely to return to after work. The kitchen is very well supplied and it was warm and inviting during the cold days of winter. Both the owner, Klara, and the caretaker, Mr. Laurent, were available and attentive and very pleasant to encounter, on email and in person.I definitely recommend this apartment in the center of Strasbourg.

We spent three weeks in Strasbourg and this apartment was our home away from home. Very comfortable, amazingly well equipped kitchen, lots of hot water and spotlessly clean. Easily the best location in Strasbourg...restaurants, markets, wine, food, cheese, pastries, bakeries...all within a few seconds or minutes walk! All arrangements were handled in a very professional, speedy manner. M.Laurent was friendly and helpful. Because of Klara's warmth and friendliness and obvious love of her home town, this was a perfect vacation spot. We're "homesick" and can't wait to return.

We could not have been more pleased. This apartment has everything needed and is in a fantastic central location for touring Strasbourg on foot. Additionally, it is close to Kehl Germany (by tram D and then bus 21)which can be used as a base "Bahnhof" for trips into Germany with DB. It may be the best monthly vacation we have taken...

We are a family with young children and had a fabulous time in Strasbourg. The apartment was a great home base and couldn't have been more centrally located. After a day playing in and around Strasbourg it felt wonderful to come "home" to such a pleasant apartment. We all enjoyed staying in Klara's bright, open and clean apartment. We would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to other families. Thank you Klara and we hope to visit Strasbourg again someday.

Brilliant location, well equipt and comfortable. Owner contact was easy to deal with and concierge on site was professional and pleasant. Even our 2 year old was happy with the toys. I do recommend earplugs if your are a light sleeper but such will be the case for any place in that vibrant an area.A bargain for the location and comfort. Better than a most of the hotels. On a beaucoup aimée l'appartement.

We spent a great week in this apartment in Strasbourg in Oct 2007. The apartment itself is terrific, contained everything we needed and was well maintained with a pleasant manager in the same building. It was so convenient so close to all the main sites- we walked everywhere. Strasbourg is a lovely, friendly city and this apartment made our stay very enjoyable. The owner renting the apartment was very informative and the transaction was well planned.

The apartment was fantastic. It was large, well stocked, and the location was incredible. Two bakeries on the same street and lots of shopping and restaurants within a minutes walk, not to mention the Cathedral and Petite France. There were plenty of toys for our young child as well. The owner and concierge are very helpful and informative. This is better experience than any hotel and a great way to spend your time in Strasbourg.

As Rick Steves writes, "Strasbourg is urban Alsace at its best." We had the pleasure of staying in this very spacious apartment with its French windows opening to the sound of cathedral bells, lovely hardwood and tile floors, and well-stocked kitchen. The moment we stepped out of the building, we were right in the heart of the city; a walker's dream with many streets closed off to traffic and a great streetcar system. We delighted in the apartment's proximity to the river walk and cathedral and to superb shops offering the best of French food, design and fashion. It was a wonderful place to call home and use as a springboard to Germany and the TGV to Paris.

We wanted to stay in Strasbourg last May for 3 nights and since there were 4 of us, all adults, we wanted to avoid paying for 2 rooms in a hotel. We were very lucky to find this apartment available for less money per night than we would have spent for one room in a moderate hotel. The apartment exceeded our expectations in every way: modern kitchen ( though the coffee machine needs to be replaced, it took forever to make 2 cups of coffee), bright , very spacious, lots of storage and quiet even though the location was very central, within a few minutes walk to cathedral and the center of town. The owners were very helpful and answered our questions by email right away. The concierge was waiting for us when we got there and again, was very helpful. This apartment gets a 5 star ratings from us.
Owner response:The coffee machine has been fixed !

We stayed a week in this apartment and found it to be excellent - great location - easy walk to cathedral, wonderful restaurants and all of the old city. Good jump off place to all of Alsace. Accomodations are comfortable though a bit noisy from the front bedroom but great amenities incl. parking and the concierge onsite and owners were most helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Can't get a better location in Strasbourg. On a side street but 3 minute walk to the Strasbourg cathedral. We stayed for a week and wish we had booked longer. It was perfect for our family of four. It has a smallish but very well-equiped kitchen, high speed internet access, flat screen TV, modern washer-dryer, and even toys for our 2 young boys! The bakery next door was an added bonus. Although we stayed as vacationers, I would highly recommend it for business trippers as well. Carrie

**Fantastic Apartment in Strasbourg** We stayed in this apartment for one week and it was an ideal base for exploring Strasbourg and Alsace. The apartment is stylish, yet very comfortable and well-equipped (nice new kitchen, good shower, electronics, etc). It is in a great location in the centre of town and also an easy walk from the train station. The owners were very helpful, as was the concierge who welcomed us.
