The view of Pemaquid Harbor and the Atlantic from the living/dining room. - Pemaquid, Maine Cottage You are invited to enjoy one of the prettiest and most peaceful spots on the East Coast (or anywhere, for that matter). We have found Pemaquid Harbor's perfect mix of sea, breeze, woodlands, history, and quiet to be the perfect getaway tonic. The pace is peaceful and low key, not noisy and fast-paced as at commercial resorts. The house is situated on three quarters of an acre right on the harbor. The view is spectacular, as the photo will attest. A path leads down to our dock where we have approximately 75 feet of ocean frontage. The nine- to 11-foot tide leaves the dock high and dry twice a day. The joys here are many, but modern conveniences are relatively few. There is no television, but there are plenty of books. For your convenience, there is a CD player/AM/FM stereo. High-speed internet is provided via satellite dish, but there is no resident computer (and an Ethernet port on your computer is required). The additional "one-quarter" bath listed above is an outdoor (but fully enclosed) shower for communing with nature. The indoor bath includes a tub and shower. The three bedrooms include one with a queen-size bed, one with a double-size bed, and one equipped with a set of bunk beds. Additional sleeping space is available on a new full-size sleep sofa in the living room. In short, this is a family summer cabin designed to provide a comfortable and casual vacation equal to the spirit of Maine itself. No pets and absolutely no smoking, please.

Rent (May, June, September): $975/week, plus 7% Maine Occupancy Tax.
Rent (July through Labor Day week): $1025/week, plus 7% Maine Occupancy Tax.

Deposit is $585 ($300 is refundable security deposit;
$200 is applied to rent; $85 is cleaning/mowing fee)

Rental Week defined as Sunday p.m. to Sunday a.m.
