This was a wonderful condo to rent. We have stayed at the Kihei Alii Kai complex six times as we like its location so much. Of the six units we have stayed in, this was the best by far. It was clean upon arrival and very welcoming as you step through the door. It is as close as you can get to the elevators which was a plus for my disabled wife. The BBQ is very close which was great for Canadians visiting during the winter! Everything you need for a relaxing stay is provided by the owners. The beds in each of the bedrooms are very comfortable. The condo is about a block away from what we feel is the best beach on Maui as well as being central to shopping, restaurants, activities, etc. Access to main highways is easy and you can get any where you want on Maui quickly. I strongly recommend this condo and the wonderful owners who are extremely easy to deal with!

We loved this condo. It is very well equipped, is right next to the elevators (for heavy suitcases) and the owners were very pleasant and easy to deal with. We have already recommended it to friends for their consideration. It has a lovely view of the ocean and the West Maui Mountains off the lanai and of Haleakala off the entry. It has lots of kids beach toys which our grandsons used heavily. It was very nice to have those there so their parents didn't have to pack any along. It is equipped with Wi-Fi and we had four iPads going at the same time in the evenings. The owners thoughtfully provided a list of activities, several of which we did. We saw all the brochures and ads for shirts, etc., for "I survived the road to Hana", but having driven both it and the loop around the north end of the island (which we would recommend) the road to Hana is tame in comparison. Whether we stay there or not in the future will simply depend on how many of us are there. We rented it and the unit above to accommodate everyone in our party. If you are looking for a very nice place to stay and great owners with whom to deal, this is it!

The condominium was very clean and inviting. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Maui was provided. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family. The condominium was in walking distance to a great beach, fun shopping, and restaurants. Also, grocery stores were close by. I would recommend a snorkeling trip on the Trade Winds II, horseback riding at the Piiholo Ranch, and taking the trip to Hana.

Just returned from a wonderful, relaxing holiday in Maui. Our condo was one of the best we have stayed in. Excellent location (best in the building for us) just steps to the BBQ, tennis court and elevators. We travelled with 3 other couples who stayed in the same complex and all agreed ours was the nicest, with best location and all the things we needed. It was clean, had everything we need in the kitchen and beds and linens were all clean and comfortable. Nice having our own washer and dryer. The lani was the perfect place to have our wine and watch the sunsets. Would not hesitate to stay here again. M and T Somers, Calgary AB. Canada March 2011

Hello Carol We had a great time enjoying our stay in your well appointed condo! When we arrived the condo was clean and welcoming. It was so nice to have all the equipment to accommodate the children and us adults too, including beach chairs and toys. Even though the view is somewhat limited we really appreciate the quietness and close proximity to parking, the elevator, BBQ and tennis courts. This is our 3rd visit to Maui and this condo is in a great location. The beaches are great, shopping and dining is right down the block and Costco is about a 15 min drive away. The condo is as advertised. I was a little concerned that we would be too close to the elevator, barbeque and tennis courts because of noise and people but there was no need to worry. The way the condo is set up, you can't hear anything and the tenants were very considerate in not making any noise. In fact, it was a great location for the parking lot as well. The condo was next to the stairway and the elevator which was right next to the parking lot so it was easy getting to the condo from the lot - one flight up or about 15 feet from the elevator and you were in the condo (unlike some of the other condos - it was quite a maze walking through the complex to the other condos). The only concern we had was the cleanliness of the patio. I don't know if there had been a dust or rain storm but we had to clean the patio and the patio furniture of a good layer of thick dust (or ?). After that, we spent a great deal of time out there enjoying the breeze and the views. The condo complex has new management/maintenance and they were very responsive to any suggestions we made (eg. the jacuzzi was really too hot and you were you were locked in the pool area unless you had your pool key) Carol provided all the questions and information we needed to enjoy our stay which was very much appreciated!!! This is a definite place to return to again and again to vacation.

Owner response:The condo and the lanai's are thoroughly cleaned after every client. The sugar cane fields and the Maui trade winds will sometimes leave a layer of dust on the lanais. Make sure you check the lanai furniture before sitting down in your white pants. The hazards of island living!!

Perfect stay in Kihei for a group of 7 from Canada ( July 4th to July 8th 2010)

This condo was more than what we expected ( comfort of the beds, amenities, proximity to the Kameole Beach Park). We ( 3 adults and 4 children) did a lot of sightseeing during our stay in Maui ( Lahaina, Kapalua Beach,Iao Valley State Park,The Road to Hana( full circle), Sunrise on Haleakala, Big Beach and Little Beach, Fireworks on the Beach on July 4th, etc.) But it was always a pleasure to comeback to the condo and relax on the lanai or by the pool or even play some tennis. Thank you very much Carol.

Carol, I wanted to thank you for letting us stay at your condo the previous week.  The location was perfect for our needs, I particularly liked how close to the garage it was located.  The beach and food nearby were both really convenient as well.  We appreciated that there were towels and basically anything we would need already at the condo so that we didn't need to pack too much or buy things just for the few days we were there.  It was really difficult finding a place that could accommodate all 6 of us, but yours did it quite well. This was my first time to Maui and I have to say it was an amazing experience. I came here with a girlfriend and we had a great time. The condo was perfect! What a great place to stay. All the amenities one could possibly ask for, as well as a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the island. Loved sitting on the Lana'i and enjoying the ocean, as well as the mountain view. Everything was sparkling clean and Kelly and Carol are so helpful and generous.We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Maui stay March 2010

This condo was the perfect location for our first (won't be our last) visit to Maui! Our family consisted of three generations, the youngest being 20 months. The two bedrooms were perfect and having the playpen/crib/stroller/beach toys was greatly appreciated! Everything in the condo was clean with lots of dishes and towels. The lanai's were wonderful and having the barbeque right next door was fabulous! Carol, thank you so much for sharing your place with us! We loved the beautiful, sandy beach and the pool/ sauna were great, too! Our only regret is that we only had two weeks to spend in 'paradise!' We had great meals at Bubba Gumps and Hulla Grill. We also enjoyed some libations/appetisers at McGillicutty's Sports Grill while enjoying the large screen tv's watching the Canuck's and the beautiful sunsets. We can't wait to return and do more exploring in wonderful Kihei!

The condo was absolutely wonderful! It had everything we needed and more. It was in the perfect location, within walking distance to many places. The view from the 2 lanais was amazing. Carol was great at answering any questions I had ahead of time. We stayed for 12 days and had an amazing time! We had absolutely no problems with the condo and hope to stay there again next year! My cousins and I had a wonderful vacation here. Having three separate beds fitted us perfectly. Thanks for providing the tennis rackets, snorkel equipment, beach towels, etc. It was convenient to have the BBQ area and the parking so close to the unit. We are a family of 8 so trying to find a place to stay is a task of its own. this condo was of exceptional , convenient to beach, parking, bar-b-q grills, and our favorite places to eat..da kitchen and local boy shave ice. we felt safe at this clean, quiet condo. condo had everything we needed and more..towels, bedding, beach items, we love the paddle boards.

Our family of 4 enjoyed a 3wk vacation in Maui at the Kihei Alii Kai in Dec 2009. This was our first stay in this unit although we've stayed in other units within the complex over the years. We loved the location of this particular unit; close to bbq, tennis courts and the beach. Often we found ourselves in an impromptu party with people hanging out at the bbq. The unit itself was clean and well stocked. Glad we had the extra fans in the back bedroom for the days that were hottest. Although the one bedroom has a window just off the walkway, we rarely heard any foot traffic. In fact the quietness of the complex is a large part of why we continue to stay there. We tried a return visit in March, but found the unit booked so best to plan ahead for this one!

We stayed here with our 11 month old son Nov 2008. The condo was comfortable, very well equipped and totally suited our needs. The baby gear was especially handy for us. The condo could use updating but that doesn't affect the functionality and most people go to Maui to be outside anyway. It was very clean when we arrived with the exception of the carpet - it was evident that the cleaners simply forgot to vacuum it. Not a big deal - we took care of it ourselves in 5 minutes. Carol quickly followed up with the management company after we told her. The carpet is old though so our only recommendation is that it be replaced with tile. The complex was quiet and the people were friendly. Location was great. The pool and grounds were clean. The BBQ was right outside our door and we found we were the only ones using it most of the time! Carol was very easy to deal with and very accommodating. I would have no hesitation returning to this condo.

10/08 We have been coming to Maui for about the past 9 or 10 years and have stayed in a variety of Condos from Kihei to Kapula ( please correct my spelling). This Condo is by far the best equiped Condo that we have ever stayed in---No extra trips to the ABC store for beach towels, mat, coffee mugs (since we prefer mugs instead of coffee cups), etc. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

This condo was precisely what I had hoped it would be! I took a family vacation: three adults, one who is mildly physically disabled, and two children, ages 6 and 8. The condo unit was larger than we expected, in fantastic repair, and located at the edge of shopping and the best family beaches on Maui. The swimming pool and jacuzzi would have been fantastic with few visitors utilizing them, but we were so busy at the beaches and shops, we didn't take a dip either! The washer and dryer in the unit were perhaps the highlight of the trip for me, the MOM of the group. The spacious lanai was the highlight for the children. The accommodations were comfortable, somewhat luxurious, and superb for a family vacation!
