Enjoy the breathtaking gulf front view from the balcony of our 2nd floor upscale condo. The spacious living room and master bedroom are oceanfront and provide a spectacular view of the emerald water and sugar white sand. During the peak spring and summer weeks enjoy the convenience of only walking up a flight of stairs to avoid the long elevator wait times.
The Calypso Resort is conveniently located on the west end of the beach, which is less congested and family friendly. We have an ideal location across the street from Pier Park. Pier Park is an upscale 1 million square foot outdoor shopping and entertainment center including the Grand 16 IMAX and movie theaters, numerous restaurants,retail stores, amusement rides and free outdoor summer concerts on Thurday evenings.
Take a walk across the street to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Back Porch Seafood, and Red Brick Pizza restaurants or enjoy live music at Reggae J's Island Grill and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. You can pickup your sunscreen at the Super Target or enjoy a cup of coffee at the Starbucks. If you have a rainy day at the beach, head on over to a matinee at the new 16 stadium seating movie theater and shop for a new bathing suit at Dillards or JC Pennys. Bring the kids to Gulf World (less than a mile East of Calypso) to enjoy a Dolphin encounter and various shows through out the day.
The Calypso Resort has two gorgeous free-form 175 foot pools which are directly on the beach. Just walk down a few stairs through the tropical landscaping and you are on the beach. Don't forget to stop at the Tiki Bar on the way down for a delicious frozen drink that you can enjoy on the beach chairs that we have reserved especially for you as an added bonus!
If you need a break from the beach, go up the winding staircase through the lobby to the workout room located directly upstairs on the 2nd floor. Exit through those doors turn right and your right back to our condo where you can check your email with the free wireless internet that we provide in the room!
Our Platinum unit is professionally decorated with beautiful wood furniture and wonderful art and accessories. Luxury accommodations for up to eight are provided by a king in the master bedroom, queen in the guest bedroom, a bunk bed in the third bedroom, and queen sleeper in the living room. We even provide a portable pack and play crib for your little one in the unit.
There are many extras including: 9 foot ceiling throughout with crown molding, granite counter tops in the bathrooms and kitchen, stainless steel appliances,wet bar and separate laundry room with full size washer and dryer. There is even a walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
A $300 deposit by credit card, Pay-pal, or check is required to reserve the condo for your travel dates.The check for the balance of the rent is due 30 days before check-in or the balance can be charged the week of check-in. We only rent weekly during summer months with Saturday check-in and checkout. Check-in time is 3:00pm CST and check-out is 10:00am. There is a 3 night minimum stay during other periods.
Our unit is NON-SMOKING and we can't allow pets. WE DON'T RENT TO SINGLES UNDER 25. NO SPRING BREAKERS!!!!!Any reservations made under false pretense will be subject to loss of deposit and rental fees and you will be forced to leave by onsite security.

My name is Darlene and my husband and I are the actual owners of the unit so you won't be speaking to some rental management company that is representing 50 or so condos and doesn't know the specifics about the unit or area. No hidden fees here... such as reservation fees, damage waivers,insurance or extra charges for using a credit card.

This is a beautifully decorated spacious condo perfect for a vacation at PCB! The 2nd floor location was great with a convenient view of the pool and beach. We enjoyed NOT having to wait on the elevators!! Free beach service was an added bonus. Renting from Joel and Darlene was great. They are very sweet and soooo easy to work with. Even the cleaning service folks are amazing. We accidentally left something and it was quickly returned to us - which is unheard of!! Calypso is ~ a quarter mile walking distance from Pier Park if you want awesome shopping during your stay. The Front porch is a great place to eat and very kid friendly. Margaritaville was good - but not for the food! I will definitely be back when I return to the PCB area.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We have enjoyed wintering in this beautiful spacious condo for 2 mos for the last 3 years. Joel and Darlene are wonderful people to work with and Darlene goes to extreme lengths to rent their condo to responsible adults. Consequently the condo and its beautiful furnishings are in excellent condition. You'll love the fully equipped kitchen and modern appliances. This condo is located on the second floor and has a balcony which overlooks the pool with a beautiful view of the gulf and is a perfect place to enjoy the warm Florida sun with a book and a cup of coffee or in the evening gaze upon the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. Pier Park with its many unique one-of-a-kind shops and chain stores, restaurants and movie theater is across the street. Whether you like to bike, walk or throw a line in the water on the fishing pier next door, it's all available right outside the door. Whether you will be staying for 2 months or 1 week, it will feel like home the moment you walk through the door.

Our experience was a positive one right from the start with Darlene and Joel. They were terrific to deal with. Our family was part of a 9-family excursion to PCB and we all visited each others rooms for various tropical paradise cocktails reasons and while all of the units were nicely done, every adult who visited us complimented us on our condo on how nicely decorated it was compared to theirs. Only having to run up one flight of stairs from the beach, which happens more often than you'd think, is also a plus. I'd highly recommend Darlene and Joel's condo except for the week that we wanna use it next year.

This condo is awesome! I stayed there for one month. The furniture and decorations are truly first class. Best sleep I've had in years. The location is great because Pier Park (an outdoor mall with bars, restaurants, movies, and shopping) is right across the street. The condo is on the second floor, which offers an awesome view from the balcony. The owners are extremely nice and professional. I highly recommend it!

This was our first time renting from VRBO. Joel and Darlene were wonderful. They were easy to do business with and were so kind and "down to earth." Their condo was absolutely beautiful! It was decorated tastefully and it made us feel like we were right at home. The view from the condo was perfect, too. From our balcony, we watched dolphins swim in the Gulf and experienced such beautiful sunsets. If you have young kids, they will love the bunk beds. Our two kids decided they wanted to live there just because of the bunk beds!! We really enjoyed our stay at the Calypso and hope to visit again. This was our second time renting the condo at the Calypso from Joel & Darlene. And as expected, we had a wonderful time. The beach chairs are great to have! No more lugging chairs and umbrellas down to the beach. You care enough for your guest to include them with the stay. You also show you care by keeping the condo so nice. We will staying at the Calypso again next year! Thanks for the great memories!

It doesn't get any better....the condo is beautifully decorated and the beach is incredible. It's obvious Darlene and Joel went out of their way to make their unit special for their guests. We are so glad we found it on VRBO. The decor was tasteful, warm and inviting. We enjoyed the view from the living room/master bedroom/balcony - the gulf waters are so close! Oh, and the beach chairs were awesome - reserved, front row! As we said....it doesn't get any better.

We stayed in this condo from Feb 16-19. We had a fantastic time! The condo is absolutely beautiful- the decor is fantastic!! The beds were comfortable and we felt right at home. The owners are very very friendly and answered any and all questions i had! My husband and I will definitely keep the contact numbers, and will stay in their condo again!! This is an absolutely perfect place! It's gorgeously decorated with beautiful furniture and state of the art appliances. The pool is JUST outside your balcony and steps from that, is the beautiful ocean! We had 4 adults, 3 children and 2 babies and there was plenty of room. The bunk beds are great for kids and located down the hall which was nice. The unit is very conveniently located close to the elevator which was ideal for loading/unloading. And it was incredibly quiet as well. The owners are also wonderful and were very easy to deal with. I can't say anything negative about the Calypso Paradise, because that's what it is--Paradise!! Thanks!!
