Lestage is a 17th century stone farmhouse situated on one acre in a park like setting surrounded by the vineyards of the Entre Deux Mers. The completely renovated house includes: two large bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with a double bed and daybed; a full bathroom with double sinks, a claw foot tub and separate, stall shower; a second toilet room with sink; a large dining room open to a completely equipped gourmet kitchen featuring an original stone fireplace and top of the line appliances; a large living room with a massive, stone fireplace; and a den with a bed chesterfield, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system and computer with internet access.
The property is ideally located for the wine enthusiast with the medieval wine villages of Saint Emilion, Fronsac, Duras, and St. Foy la Grande less than 30 minutes away. The historical cities of Bordeaux and Bergerac are within a 45 minute drive. The beautiful villages of Perigueux, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Domme and La Roque Gageac are within a 90 minute drive as are the sandy beaches of the Arcachon Basin. The town of Castillon la Bataille, site of the last battle of the 100 Years War, is located five kilometers away and has a full range of shops and services. Each summer the battle of Castillon is re-enacted with a cast of over 400 people in full period costume.
The recreation area of Lac de Cadie with its safe swimming facilities, sandy beaches and numerous water activities is only five minutes away.
