  This was our 2nd year at Spirit Lake and our first year at this lovely lakehouse. We loved the spacious back yard and the deck. We spent most of our time there enjoying the lake and watching our Grandchildren play. The little ones loved the sandbox and riding the jumping horse! Our teenage grandchildren settled into the room with the Baby Grand piano and loved having their own hang out. I loved the kitchen area with the large refridgerator! This is the first year we had more than enough room in the refridgerator. Our family really loved the quietness of the lake which enabled us to enjoy pontooning and jet skiing. The lakehouse is supplied with just about everything you could want or need. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning next year!

  The "girls" stayed at the lake home and had a amazing time. The home was perfect for the 10 of us who each had our own bed. We had lovely evenings by the fire, some of us had great walks while others had time to play computer games while others sat on the dock and enjoyed the lake. The best place in the home is on the lounge chair that looks out on the lake. It is a great place to read or just look at the lake. We love the cabin and hope to make it there again. The home is beautiful and our time the best. We hope to make it back again. Thank you so much for letting us use such a wonderful place.

  This was our third year at the lake house. We love the location on a quieter lake where we canoed, watched the beautiful sunsets and fished off the dock. We enjoy playing games outside in the large yard and eating on the deck. We also like the walk/bike path right across the street. There is a playground within walking distance and the public beach (Orleans) is less than a 5 minute drive. The house is very comfortable for everything - cooking, sleeping, playing games and just hanging out. The kitchen is well stocked and we appreciate the two full bathrooms as well as the washer and dryer. We have really enjoyed staying at this house and working with the owner.

  This is the third year that my family has met here for a nice summer vacation. My sister and her family live in Decorah, IA so it is a perfect spot to meet in the middle! We have so much fun there - we play yard games, my nieces love the sandbox, there is a perfect spot to get in and out of the canoe we bring and there is plenty of space for all 12 of us!! It is just a great spot with such a beautiful view! Very clean and welcoming! We all like it so much that we are hoping to add on an extra day for next summer!

  This was the 3rd year in a row my family (12 of us) gathered here for a vacation. It has everything we need. We love to cook and enjoy the large, spacious kitchen. The house is laid out nicely, so even though there were 12 of us, it never felt cramped or crowded. The deck is spacious with a fabulous view of the lake; especially at night when the sun is setting. We loved the addition of the hammock this year. The back yard is big and flat, perfect for the yard games we like to play. The bike/walking path is directly across the street for easy access. There is a sandy beach about 8 blocks away that is clean and never crowded. It is close to quaint shops as well as larger chain stores. My daughter and niece had fun playing the xylophone. We hope to continue our tradition for years to come!

  This home is a perfect getaway. There is plenty of room to sleep several people and with the fully stocked kitchen, cooking in is easy. We have a daughter with a physical disability and while maneuvering a wheelchair may be difficult, this home is perfect for individulas who have difficulty with ambulation. There is never more than one step to get anywhere. There is easy access from the back to the lake without the need for stairs. One shower is larger and a shower chair is provided. We can also get her on and off the dock without difficulty as the front lawn is open and flat. And for someone like me, who finds it nearly impossible to disconnect form work, the wifi comes in very handy! This is a great location and a great way to relax without going too far away.

  We had a wonderful week in this house. The view of the lake was wonderful, and there was plenty to do for the youngsters. They loved the sandbox! The house has lots of personality, with plenty of time-passers hidden in the drawers. Plenty of parking, too!

  We had a good time with our extended family at this home. It had a wonderful view of the lake and the sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed the amentities that were offered including the washer/dryer, kids toys/tables and games. The home was very well equipped with everything we needed. We had brought our kayaks and it was easy to use them whenever we needed loading them off the dock and easily storing the in garage when they weren't in use. The fishing was nice off the dock, my husband caught lots of blue gill, a few walleye and a northern pike on his last day. The bike trail across the street was great and we had a nice bike ride into Okoboji. The kids enjoyed the sand box. We enjoyed the use of the fire pit a couple of times and watched the sunset on the porch, and did smores. The weather wasn't fabulous for us during our stay, but we did hit up Orleans beach when the sun was out which is five minutes away. This served our three year old well and he enjoyed getting his water time. The owners were easy to get a hold of and very responsive to questions we had.

  The extended family (eight of us) met here over the Christmas holiday. It was our second Christmas at the same cabin. We really enjoy the house. It's not fancy, but it's very homey and comfortable. The great thing is the house contains anything you need to cook, clean, and relax. It has any kitchen tool, probably in triplicate. And there is a huge fridge/freezer. The kitchen is very nice and modern. The dining area also has all the amenities for serving a formal or informal meal. Wine goblets, nice dinnerware, etc. The cabin is situated right on a beautiful lake. It's always frozen when we got, but we always get out on the ice at least for a walk. The caretaker, Ella, is very flexible, thorough, and kind. We have no hesitations about dealing with her. All in all a great experience and a great property.

  Just wanted to say our stay at this property was fantastic. The house was perfect for our group of 7 from Wisconsin for our ice fishing weekend. The owners are genuinely wonderful to work with and made every effort to make sure our trip was one we will want to repeat. The fishing was "off the charts" as well. I would highly recommend this property for an ice fishing excursion. Thanks for a great trip.
