Whether it's a very short walk to the world famous Black Sand Beach with turtles nesting on the shore, golfing or playing tennis at the adjoining facilities, hiking or exploring along the beach, exploring local sites such as South Point (the southernmost point in the USA) or the remarkable Green Sand Beach, travelling to other parts of the island such as Volcano National Park, Parker Ranch, the Kohala Coast, Waipio Valley, the towns of Kona, Hilo or Waimea, exploring or dining in the two local communities of Naalehu or Pahala, or just relaxing at home on the lanai, by the pool, or sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the stars in the crystal clear black sky, you can be as busy or relaxed as you choose!
The daily tradewinds, the world-famous Punalu'u Black Sand Beach (home of the protected Hawaiian green sea turtle), and the many historical sights which abound in the area, make this one of the most special places of Old Hawaii.
