For hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, the chalet is LESS THAN 1 MILE from McCLURE CREEK and the TRAY MOUNTAIN WILDERNESS AREA of the Chattahoochee National Forest and less than 6 miles from the APPALACHIAN TRAIL via Tray Mountain Road [Tray Mountain - Elevation 4430 feet].
Also located nearby is BRASSTOWN BALD, Georgia's highest mountain [Elevation 4784 feet]. On clear days, you can see 4 states from the mountaintop Visitor Center: Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina, including a view of the Great Smoky Mountains!

Our home site was chosen because of its peaceful wooded setting and its close proximity to the Alpine village of Helen. It offers the best of both worlds: the serenity of a private mountain home and the nearby activities, shops, and restaurants in Helen. You can retreat from the world or you can go into Helen and enjoy all the festivities...it's your choice!
The Unique Benefits at this CHALET
From curling up by the fireplace to relaxing in the Hot Tub, it's a wonderful place to retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of work and life. We enjoy the spaciousness of the home, especially while relaxing in the Great Room or in the sitting area of the upstairs Loft overlooking the Great Room below.
Another favorite: sitting and drinking coffee on the covered balcony of the Master Bedroom Suite upstairs...so private and peaceful!
The two skylights over the king sized bed in the Master Bedroom Suite offer a nice view of the stars in the mountain skies, especially on clear or colder days. Nights with a full moon are a special treat!
