We stayed over Christmas to New Years week this year in Loafer's paradise with 3 couples, 4 children ages 4-10 and 2 toddler/babies and had the greatest time! There was plenty of room for the group either to watch tv and movies or play games and pool in the downstairs game room, either as a large or a small group. Having 3 full baths and a kids room with two bunk sets was perfect for us. Then add in 2 good sized queen rooms and very large and nice master suite, and we were set! There still was a fold down Ottoman bed in the downstairs we didn't use. We sat 10 for dinner + one baby in the highchair provided. There is also enough space to get away and read and a large, well equipped kitchen for holiday creations. There was enough to do that we barely noticed that it rained almost the entire time. Poured actually...When it briefly cleared, there were multiple views of the ocean, just steps away. When one of our youngsters broke a light hanging over the pool table, Jeff went out of his way to make the replacement process as reasonable as possible. He replaced the light himself, taking a full weekend to do it, and still only charged us the replacement parts. Even then the price remained at least a third of what he could have charge us for parts alone. These owners really take pride in their establishment and it's reputation and it shows. We certainly plan to come again and again. Thanks again for a great Holiday!

Our family just retuned from a weekend stay at A Loafer's Paradise and I couldn't wait to share how much we enjoyed ourselves!
First impression was being enveloped in warmth when we opened the front door, as the owners were thoughtful enough to make sure the heat had been turned up prior to our arrival. After unloading our stuff and exploring (the house is wonderfully spacious), we all commented on how clean and neat everything was.
All of the bathrooms and the kitchen were well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and other disposables -- a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented. Plenty of soap for dish and clothes washing too. Something really great: lots and lots of clean towels!
All the bedrooms are generously sized and the basement game room is outstanding! I forgot how much fun a foosball tournament can can be :-)
The kitchen has plenty of cups, glasses, plates and cutlery and there are lots of small appliances you don't normally find (waffle maker, griddle, blender, mixer, etc.), lots of cooking utensils and serving dishes. The dining room table holds 8 comfortably -- and a high chair too.
Oh, another unexpected bonus -- lots and lots of hot water for showers, washing dishes and laundry!
The weather outside was perfect late fall beach weather: cold, rainy and windy. Sitting inside by the fireplace listening to the rain lash the windows while staying warm and cozy in front of the fireplace was awesome.
Now for the bad...

Loafer's Paradise was perfect for what we needed and expected! Three adult couples that have known each other since Jr. High School spent a long weekend relaxing, walking the beach and just visiting. The home has comfortable beds, three bathrooms and a wonderful living/dining room to laugh in. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, towels, soap, pans, wine keys, utensils, coffee maker...you name it! To get to the beach all you had to do was cross the road and you were there!!! Keys were easy to pick up and return. Gas fireplace kept us cozy and pool table kept us entertained. Neighborhood is quiet and easy to get to. Walk to town was just perfect. We all highly recommend it!!! Only complaint we could have is no pets, but we knew that going in!

The vacation home is roomy, clean and great for a large group. The property has a very "homey" comfortable feel to it. I have only stayed there for one night a couple of times (post Hood-to-Coast), but would love to stay longer to enjoy all it has to offer!

Best house I've rented in Seaside! One block to the beach and a short walk to the turn-around. It’s far enough away from the crowds on Broadway to provide a nice, clean and quite beach. House has great decorations throughout and is well stocked. Owner is very responsive and is great to work with. Already planning to return next year.
Owner response:Ana and I have been honored to have the Baba Yaga Hood-to-Coast team stay at A Loafer's Paradise for the past two years. This all women's team consists of some really great people who, in 2010, just happened to place 1st in the "Women's Master" category. We are proud to have them coming back for the Hood-to-Coast 2012 relay race! Thank you all again for choosing A Loafer’s Paradise as your final destination to rest and celebrate your individual and team Hood-to-Coast successes! Jeff & Ana

We had a marvelous 11 days here – 7 with extended family including grandchildren 10 and under and 4 by ourselves. We had lots of sunny days and a few cloudy ones. The temperatures averaged between 30 to 40 degrees less than the temps in Oklahoma. We were in heaven. I had a picture in my head of what a beach vacation in Oregon should be. This time at A Loafer’s Paradise surpassed my wildest dreams. My grandchildren loved the beach – did not miss all their electronic gadgets – made sandcastles, waded in the waves, chased each other up and down the beach and still had energy for movies and popcorn or games at night. We rode bikes or surreys or dual trikes or pedal cars or whatever you call them. We ate out or barbecued on the deck of your home. We built a fire on the beach and made s‘ mores. Now my 10-year old grandson wants to move to Oregon. Actually so do his grandparents. Guess we'll have to settle for return visits to Loafer's Paradise. Thank you Jeff and Ana. We loved every minute!

We really enjoyed this house. It worked well for our family with the kids in bunks and their parents right next door with the bathroom between. It was also nice for us to be off in the master since we retired a bit earlier than the younger folks. I loved the colors! It really makes the house pleasant and cheery. It sets the perfect mood for a vacation at the beach. My cousin and her husband stopped by one afternoon (they have a place in Ocean Park, WA) and they were very impressed with it also. The finish details in the house are really great (special crown molding and mosaic tile). The location is awesome too. Just a short walk over the dunes to the beach. Our grandchildren loved it!

We had a great time in this house. It's really close to the beach and the pool table was a big hit with all our kids. There were lots of bed for our group. We had kids from age 4 to 14 and they all had a blast. The real gem of the house for our kids was the laundry shoot which was hilareous. They had everything we needed and we would love to return.

My family and two others just rented this home for Spring Break and absolutely loved it!! It's in a great location near the beach and just a short walk to downtown Seaside. With three families I anticipated feeling a bit crowded, but was pleasantly surprised to find the house much larger than expected. Plenty of room for everyone! It's beautifully decorated throughout, even better than the pictures show and full of games, movies, books, and beach toys in case you forget them. The kitchen is stock with all the amenities you need for cooking meals. The bedrooms are spacious and the kids enjoyed having their own place in the bunk bed room, not to mention x-box game system! We all had fun playing pool and foosball in the game room and really felt at home during our stay. The owners are great to work with and do all they can to insure you enjoy your time. They were quick to answer questions and even kind enough to make sure we had a new working bbq for our stay. We really enjoyed our vacation and looking forward to our next trip to Loafer's Paradise!!

The photos don't convey everything, it is comfortable and roomy! There are three levels, upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Then the main floor which has the kitchen, dining area and living room, along with two more bedrooms and two bathrooms. Then downstairs is the hang out area with a pool table, Foosball table, washing machines and a daybed! The dining table is very large and accommodated everyone in our party, and you can see the beach from it!! The kitchen was very well stocked & clean, the bathrooms were clean and lots of linens. The bedrooms were fantastic!! Plenty of space for everyone in our party, adults and children. My daughter especially loved the bunk beds! They were very sturdy and not too high, just perfect for a mother who was a little nervous at first! The owner was very helpful and prompt in his replies. There was ample parking for our large vehicles and it's an extremely short walk to the beach! We had a great time downtown at the arcade and eating homemade ice cream. Everyone had a really wonderful time, even though the weather was cooler, there was plenty to do. We will recommend this place and we'll be returning next year!

My family and friends rented Loafers Paradise for 3 nights. It was my daughters birthday and we brought 3 of her friends ,my parents so we had 10 people. There was alot of room in the house. It is way cuter than it looks online even though it looks cute on line. It has a nicely stocked kitchen with plenty of everything you could need.Downstairs was awsome. The pool table was great fun just like the whole room. My Dad who barely leaves his chair came downstairs to play.He has a hard time getting around and the house worked out great for him too.. We had the very best time and would reccomend this place Big TIme and will go back.

What a great getaway! Our company was highly impressed and loved your home! We enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace. The competition was ongoing as to who was the best at playing pool in the game room. It is a large, beautiful home. The decor is tasteful. The beds are comfortable. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the entire 9 days we stay from December 26th to Jan 3rd. My family enjoyed running and playing on the beach, which is just right there in view of the house. We'd love to stay again sometime.

Wonderful house nicely layed out. Very close to the beach which was very nice. Beach was sandy with gentle slope which was nice for the kids. Not right in town but close enough to town to easily walk down the beach if you like. Just followed cleaning instructions and the owner returned all of the cleaning deposit. Will stay there again DW .

A Loafer's Paradise was the perfect house for our family vacation this year. Our family consists of three kids (8, 7 and 5), parents, and two sets of grandparents. This house had the perfect layout for everyone to be comfortable and cozy. One of the vacation house requirements for our family was to have enough bathrooms for everyone. The three bathrooms in this house are very clean and well laid out. In addition, the kitchen was stocked with the necessary items, the linens were nice, the beds were soft, and the table large! We had a fireplace for the one day of bad weather, plenty of games and movies to entertain the kids and we were able to teach them how to play foosball and pool in the basement. On the fair weather days we walked across the lane to the beach we had been eyeing through our dining room windows. It was the perfect distance and we had a lovely time. We even saw a sea lion on the beach (or was it a harbor seal?). Impressively, one night during low tide, we brought home 30 whole sandollars. And, when they say "beach toys are provided," they are not kidding! There was an amazing assortment of toys for the kids to take with them to play in the sand. The itemized list for easy clean up made getting our deposit back a snap. All in all, we felt we were living in a home. The fresh colors, the bright decorations, and the attention to detail make staying in this house a top priority for vacation next year. Thanks for a lovely stay and for being so gracious in answering questions and replying to emails. We look forward to next year.

My friends and I had an amazing time and we were all heart broken to leave! The house was so warm and inviting, much bigger in person. The extra touches were delightful and all of our rooms/beds were very comfortable. Everyone was asking how/where I found this place so I knew I did good! The only downside, would have loved to spend more time inside enjoying the house :)

We have stayed in Seaside for the past 16 years at the end of the summer. This is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed! It was even better than the description. It's warm and inviting atmosphere made you feel at ease the moment you walked through the door. We had 12 people staying together and not once did we feel like we were tripping over one another. The spaciousness was more than expected. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We loved the gathering area. All of us were able to sit around the table and have great conversation. Finally, the the owner of the house was courteous and helpful. He checked in with us before and after our stay to ensure that our experience was top notch.

We stayed at this house after finishing a 200 mile relay. I found this house to be very relaxing and perfect for our needs. It was clean and cute and we all felt a little pampered! We had plenty of hot water to shower in and we had plenty of room. (12 of us stayed there). In the morning we all went and walked to the beach and went for a run on the beach. We have used this house for two years now and plan on using it again! It had everything we needed and we all enjoyed ourselves!

I had the pleasure of renting this property for a family of nine, ranging in ages from 71 to 12, for a few days of family-centered fun and rest at Seaside. I was expecting an empty shell of a house, but what I experienced was a warm and inviting home! The décor, location, amenities, and floor plan were well above my expectations! The kids had plenty of room to play and the adults had quiet spaces for reading and the large table allowed the family to enjoy meals that they were meant to be shared - together at the table facing one another! This is a fantastic property and I highly recommend it for any family needing to reset, rewind, and unwind at Seaside.

It's not very often that a place is more charming and more spacious than depicted especially when the pictures are already appealing... but that's exactly what we found when we checked into A Loafer's Paradise! It was beautiful and charming and very spacious. The proximity to the beach was perfect, just one house away. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. The decor is warm and inviting. The beds are comfortable. There are even nice flatscreen TV's in all of the bedrooms (though my one and only minor suggestion is that it's time to up grade the TV in the living room.) Not that there is much time for TV watching because there is so much to do and see in and around Seaside and the large dining room table just begs to have people sit and play games around it which we did - a lot! They have games, cards and movies there in case you forget your own. This house has it all!

My family and I just came back from staying at A Loafer’s Paradise with some co-workers and what a GREAT weekend! The atmosphere of this house is so warm and inviting and each year as we stay in Seaside, I look forward to coming back to this rental. We had a wonderful time taking in the sun from the deck with the ocean air and the view of the beach just in our sights. The location of the house next to the beach made for a great early morning walk on the sand with a fresh cup of coffee. I would highly recommend this house for all types of gatherings and I cannot wait to stay at A Loafer’s Paradise in the future!

A Loafer's Paradise lived up to its name for me and my family during the last week of Christmas break. This is the first family vacation in which the children out numbered the adults. I was a little worried about not getting enough space to relax. My worries were unfounded once we entered the home and saw how much space we had. The kids loved the down stairs game room and spent many hours having fun. Loafer's Paradise is a warm comfortable place to stay. Loved the DVD movie selection! We will certainly return this summer.

Jeff, Words cannot express the wonderful time our family had at your beautiful home. There were nine adults plus grandchildren - and room enough for everybody. The games were a big hit. The kitchen well equipped. The availability to do laundry was great - since the big kids and grandkids ran straight for the ocean and jumped in. The big dinning table to have family meals all together was great as well. Your home is beautiful, perfect location, and you were so kind and helpful to work with. We can't thank you enough for helping us make a special family memory. We took lots of family photos on the beach we will all treasure for a long time. Ken & Betty

Our family of nine stayed at Loafer's Paradise the last week of July 2009. Upon arriving and walking into the beach house, it was truly an "awe" moment for our family. It was like a "come home" feeling. Everyone had a comfortable place to lay their heads. The house being one house away from the beach and on the quiet north end of the Seaside shore afforded a peaceful hang out each day. Our teenage grandchildren enjoyed the Aquarium & Arcade downtown along with renting three wheel bikes to ride with their younger cousins on the beach. Bedding, towels, a complete kitchen with all the utensils plus a BBQ just outside on the back deck were conveniently provided. There is a wonderful game room downstairs, but we seem to run out of time to make use of it's availability. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to rent this beach house while making very special memories with our family.

Only 1 house off of beach, perfect for nightly bonfires. Quick 10 minute walk to downtown, just North of the start of the Prom, so kids had lots to do!! Lots of room in the house, pool room in basement was a hit with kids and gave parents a break!! Would recommend to others and stay here again in the future.....in fact, already looking at calendar for next year!!

We have stayed at The Loafer's Paradise for 4 years in a row and we LOVE it!!! This house has everything you could need and want. Room for everyone (lots of space!), a great kitchen, a BBQ, a fantastic game room, ocean views, a fireplace, and so much more. It is just steps from the beach and we LOVE that it is at the nice quiet end of town where we feel like it's our own private ocean!! The house is stocked full with movies and games and great books, and there is even video games if you play. There is a TV in every room so everyone can watch what they want... if you even have time to squeeze that in when your not enjoying your own private ocean! :-) We also really appreciate that this house has 3 full bathrooms, this made life a lot easier with two teenage girls in tow, a preteen boy, and grandma. :-) No one got in anyones way. This house feels like home when you are there. It has been such a wonderful tradition for our family. We LOVE Seaside so much and The Loafer's Paradise is the PERFECT place to stay while there!!

Room for everyone (lots of space!), a great kitchen, a BBQ, a fantastic game room, ocean views, a fireplace, and so much more. It is just steps from the beach and we love that it is at the nicest and quietest end of town where we feel like it's our own private ocean!! The home is very clean and well kept. This Loafers Paradise feels like home when you are there. It has been such a wonderful tradition for our family. The owners provide exceptional customer service. We would highly recommend this house to our family and friends. We love Seaside so much (there is SO much to do and yet you can also do nothing and be just as content!) and The Loafer's Paradise is the perfect place to stay while there!!

The owners' description of their property didn't prepare us for just how nice ALP is. The furnishings are lovely and the home well maintained. We had every amenity we needed for our 5 day stay. We didn't eat out much as two of us love to cook - the kitchen was more than adequate for us to turn out a delicious meals. At the end of the day, we'd sit out on the front porch, watch the sun set, sip wine and play cutthroat Scrabble - heavenly!!
