This lovely, fourth floor apartment - with marble floors, wrap-around balcony with views from all sides, and beach at the bottom of the hill - is located in Vouliagmeni, probably the most beautiful neighborhood in the Athens area.
The apartment is 100 square meters, and consists of a queen-size master bedroom with ample closet space, a study that can be closed off and serve as a guest room, two complete bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large living/dining area. The sofa in the study opens to a queen-size bed. All three main rooms have direct access to the balcony, and the balcony dining and sitting furniture allow one to eat or relax in the fresh air and enjoy the view of the Mediterranean and the sunset...
The Vouliagmeni beach is about a five minute walk to the bottom of the hill at the end of the street. The neighborhood is quiet and offers restaurants and cafes. Grocery shopping is convenient (walking distance): supermarket, bakery, green grocer, and open-air market on Saturday. Public transportation is accessible: bus takes one downtown or to Pireus in an hour. It takes about 40 minutes by car or taxi.
The other residents in the building have their homes as a second residence for the summer - so this is a "local" setting.
(This apartment is NOT good for small children because the balcony is not safe for them- there is a gap between the panel and the ledge through which a little person could easily fit.)
