Beautiful 1908 Craftsman home(upper apartment) in the heart of one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Portland. This is urban living at it's finest. Beautiful, high end historic homes, gorgeous tree lined boulevards, wonderful people, and extremely close to many wonderful restaurants and shopping. This is one of the best neighborhoods in Portland without a doubt. The wonderful and energetic neighborhoods of Alameda, Beaumont-Wilshire, Concordia, Laurelhurst and Grant Park all surround Historic Irvington, but she is the Grand Dame of them all!
A car is not absolutely necessary, walk to the MAX(transportation system) in10 min and the bus line is 200 feet from the street. You are a 5-10 minute walk from literally 20 restaurants. 5 minutes walking to Lloyd Center and 8 minute walk to the Rose Quarter. Downtown/Pearl District is a 5 minute drive or 9 minutes on the MAX.
Your upper, secured apartment has been completely restored with the original hardware. This home has been extensively remodeled in every way. Old world style, wood framed, dual pane windows keep the unit cozy in winter and cool in the summer.
The vast majority of the vacation rentals in Portland operate illegally, but this house has the coveted 'Conditional Use' permit that the city requires in order to run a vacation rental for short term stays. This house is a legal B&B, but has 3 separate, fully locked and functioning apartments. There are no shared spaces.
Our caretakers live onsite, tucked away in an apartment on the main level. Feel free to ask them for help at anytime.
No details have been spared with respects to furnishings, this is a real upscale home with all the accoutrements you would expect(or hope to have) in your own home. Viking range, stainless steel appliances, 32' flat screen TV, Bose stereo, Francis Francis X1 espresso machine, wireless internet, stainless steel cookware and handmade copper pots I brought back from the north of Italy!
The backyard is available for the guests of this unit. It comes complete with an herb garden(for your cooking pleasure) pergola and built in stainless steel BBQ and sink. Enjoy Portland's weather in complete privacy. You will get our recommendations for activities and complimentary coffee and tea.
The unit is extremely luxurious, it will guarantee you a wonderful experience in Portland. This is a beautiful home, and we absolutely love it. We know that you will feel the same. Come and be part of our family as you sample all that Irvington Neighborhood and Portland has to offer!

Stayed here with a few friends while we attended a conference at the nearby Oregon Convention Center (10 minutes by bus, or a 20ish minute walk). This place exceeded my expectations. The house was well-maintained and perfectly clean. Fast Wifi, and a comfortable kitchen and living room area made it a perfect oasis from the busy conference days. Unfortunately we didn't really get to take advantage of the backyard and bbq. The bedrooms were quiet and comfortable and the neighborhood was goegeous and quiet, though it was only a 5 minute walk to a nearby major street where I had no problem finding a drycleaner, and lots of restaurants and cafes. Would rent again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Not only was the house and the lawn in great condition, so was the entire neighborhood. We loved walking around the nearby streets to check out all of the unique architecture and landscaping. We didn't realize coming in the spring would bring so much blooming in all of the trees and flowers.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My mother, my inlaws, my wife, my son and I stayed here and everyone survived the trip, we had a good time and nobody was unhappy, that is a decent trip! The house was clean, the manager and owner were friendly and helpful when I talked with them. All in all, it was a great experience.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house is very nice and in a great location in Portland. Plenty of restaurants and things to do in walking distance, plus the bus stop is on the same block, so getting around the city is a breeze if you don't wish to drive. The house has all the essential amenities, the kitchen is stocked with good cooking equipment, plates, utensils, etc. We stayed in the 2nd/3rd floor levels, plenty of room for us and all our guests (the small bedroom is a little strange, but works great for sleeping only, as it only has room for the bed). The house itself was very charming, strange thing with electrical (if you unplug TV and plug back in, it'll turn on by itself randomly). I figured power surge from old wiring, my wife figured a ghost, naturally). Very nice place nonetheless, I'd definitely recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I came to Portland for a few days to shop for a piano. We brought our children and stayed in this home. The home had a lot of charm and we enjoyed staying here. The rooms were furnished nicely and the kitchen was stocked with cookware for us to use. The owner, Mark, was on site for the weekend and was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the pleasant stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I am often skeptical about booking online as sometimes the pictures are far different than reality. Not so with the Irvington House! It was everything as billed and more. There was even a small bag of Stump Town coffee nest to the exquisite coffee maker, (something we all desperately needed after our "girls night out") The home, (and I do mean a home, not a house), was clean, comfortable and quiet. Close and convenient to downtown and Lloyd Center too What a great find!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway.

We stayed at the Irvington House with our toddler and it was great. Beautiful neighborhood to walk around in, near a Whole Foods and other shopping, it was just as described! Also- parking wasn't a problem (something I had been a bit nervous about!) Definitely would recommend to others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed for several weeks and this was a great jumping off point for our explorations of Portland and the surrounding area. The house is beautifully kept and centrally located. The owner and on-site manager were friendly and very responsive to any questions or needs. The apartment is comfortable and well-appointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: My name is Mark Reinoso, and my wife's name is Abigail Stewart. I have a daughter, Lauren, from my first marriage, and Abby and I have a 4 year old son together, Rocco and a 1 year old baby girl named Zara(pronounced za-da) We spend a lot of time in Portland, and since we spend 2-3 months here a year, I can honestly say 'welcome to our home!'
Why the Owner Chose Irvington:
I have always loved the Pacific Northwest, though my daughter, family and my business are in Phoenix. Most of my maternal family is from this area, and many relatives still live near here. My mother was born in Vancouver, WA and used to come down to the Lloyd Center to shop with her mother when she was very young. She has fond memories of this place. When she first saw this house and this neighborhood, she literally cried.
I have always had a great time here. I love the neighborhood. I love my neighbors and the general vibe that Portland has. I love the people, and even the weather(most of the time). I enjoy the fact that you can go hiking or biking in the AM, and be back in time for lunch at a fabulous restaurant. I love that nothing looks the same, that everything is unique. This is definitely not suburbia.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I guess I could go on and on, but I really like the urban lifestyle. You can walk anywhere from the Irvington Neighborhood. The gardens and yards are just unbelievable.
There are tons of great restaurants and coffee shops everywhere you turn. Portland is such a great destination in every way, and I think Irvington neighborhood is the crown jewel of it all.
I have put tons of money and all my heart and soul into this property, and I think and hope it shows. I hope you enjoy this house as much as I do.
