We stayed in here for 10 nights, and this awesome condo had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The location is perfect, a wonderful view, a short drive to 2 nice shopping malls, several excellent restaurants, a great grocery store , and the best beach! There was plenty of room for my husband and I along with our teenage son and adult daughter. It was great having the 3 bathrooms for showering and a full kitchen for preparing our meals. Falling asleep in the luxurious master bedroom to the sound of the ocean every night was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable! We toured this beautiful island and did lots of amazing things on our vacation, but returning home to "our" condo at the end of the day was great! The owner sent us lots of great information on the area beforehand, and instructions for the condo, and everything went very smoothly. I would definitely return and stay here again, and would highly recommend it to my friends.

We just returned from Poipi Kapili and had a fabulous time. The photos on this sight do not do it justice. The location was wonderful and many activities nearby to take part in. The restaurant and activity guide Cynthia provides are spot on. The property was clean and well maintained and had the most amazing view of the sunset. The seawall across the street was often full with people waiting for the sunset. Snorkeling and boogie boarding beaches nearby. Will definitely keep this unit in mind for a return vist!!!

We stayed in this unit for our honeymoon in 2011 May for one week and we loved the unit. One of our favorite things is sitting at the porch to have dinner with an unbeatable sunset view. Make dinner in the house is super easy since you can find all kinds of kitchen appliances there. We also enjoyed the tennis court in the property too. Cynthia kindly provided tennis rackets in the house and that makes playing very easy. We love the location too, it's a short walk to Sheraton beach and we enjoyed snorkeling and surfing there. There are good restaurants nearby too within reasonable walk distance. Mosquito was my only enemy in this paradise since the garden seems to attract many of them. But after the first night itchy experience, we bought some trapping device and it got better. The weird thing is my husband didn't get bit. Overall, we love our experience there and would recommend the place to everyone. :-) Thanks, Cynthia!

The minute we walked in we knew we picked the right place! The three bathrooms were so helpful when it was shower time... no problem with hot water, room for everyone to crash in the living room after crazy days filled with fun in the sun... The location was perfect, close enough to Poipu State Park for snorkeling, the Sheraton for cocktails at sunset, unless of course, you have them at the condo in the lanai looking out! Saw humpback whales breaching right off the lanai, and Monk Seals at Poipu park...The view was incredible. We enjoyed the pool area for playing cards and dipping into the pool to cool off....We were close enough to travel all over the island, ziplining at Princeville Ranch was a highlight! We enjoyed some local beaches and boogie boards, ice chest and lawn chairs were helpful, thanks Cynthia! The upstairs bedrooms were kinda warm so i recommend the a/c but the price is well worth it, especiallly since parking is free! WOW!! A quick drive to Spouting Horn is recommended at Sunset, walk down to rocks if safe, and get amazing pictures. The Poipu Shopping Center had a great Polynesian dance on Tuesday and Thursday and dinner at Keiko's Paradise included Tristan Lobster that is only available in 4 places in the world.... Hawaii, London, New York City and Tokyo! Try it! Tennis courts and basketball courts were right acoss the street and some great jogging trails to the park. The beds were just right, fell fast asleep each night,to the sonds of the waves and enjoyed waking to the sunrise... The grounds at Poipu Kapili were very tropical and even though there was some remodeling going on right next door they were great about keeping it clean and finishing up at sunset...True Hawaiian spirit... We can't wait to come back... I do recommend bottled water but hey I am from Idaho where we have the best water in the world... Full kitchen even included a blender for smoothies with fresh fruit from Costco... Stop by when coming in from Lihue! The washer and dryer were helpful especially as we set off to another island for the second half of trip... but our hearts remain in Kuaui!!! Count the chickens... we lost count after 328.... ha!

We had a wonderful time in Kauai. The condo is top notch - beautifully furnished and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and we loved the pool. We had a very peaceful and relaxing visit. We saw a group of dolphins one morning from the lanai and swam with the sea turtles on the small beach just east of Poipu Beach. We hope to return again soon!

Poipu Kapili #54 is the perfect home-away-from-home on the south shore of paradise, otherwise known as Kaua'i. This unit is tastefully decorated in a style I would call "island contemporary". Appliances are modern and kitchen and bath must have been recently remodeled. Master bath is striking; second upstairs bath is very nice. The kitchen has every possible utensil, etc. you can think of. August nights on Kaua'i can be hot, and we appreciated the air conditioned bedrooms. (There is a reasonable extra charge.) Very few condos on the island have this welcome "extra". In fact, it was a "must" on my wife's list for a condo rental. We enjoyed looking at the ocean from the lanai over breakfast every morning. The location is great - close to beautiful Poipu Beach for great snorkling; and Cynthia arranged for complimentary snorkel gear included with the rental. The unit contains everything you could possibly need. We appreciated the two pair of powerful binoculars for our drive up to Waimea Canyon and our favorite, the Kalalau Valley overlook. Finally, Cynthia was excellent to work with via email.

We stayed at Poipu Kapili #54 during the first week of July 2009. We had a great time, accommodation was terrific, everything was provided for (boogie boards, tennis racquets, classic Nintendo etc.). On the grounds of Poipu Kapili we took advantage of the tennis courts and the pool - no problem with over-crowding here. The accommodation was very relaxing and peaceful with a great view of the ocean, really helps enhance the Kauai experience. We really appreciated easy access to the Sheraton and Poipu Beach. It was pretty hot while we were there, we needed the A/C, it took a little bit of time to get use the the background noise but it did keep us much cooler. The condo decor is great, the owner (Cythia) has done a great job with all the furnishing, we particularly loved the master bed and bath. We hope to return in the future and we miss it already.

I would highly recommend Poipu Kapili #54. We stayed there for a week with another family. There were a total of 8. Each family had one of the master bedrooms. 2 of the teenagers shared their parents bedroom and the other 2 teenagers used the pull out couch. We were fortunate to get the front master bedroom and it was wonderful. We went to bed with the sound of the surf. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the master bath had been remodeled and resembled a spa. The owner even put small bottles of locally made shampoo, cream rinse and lotion in each of the 3 bathrooms. The other master bedroom suite was also attractively decorated with a recently remodeled bathroom. The downstairs was large and comfortable. There were 5 boogie boards, many chairs and 3 umbrellas for our use. There were also many guide books to look through, probably over 50 dvd's to watch and many game boards. The kitchen was well stocked and updated. We spent many nights enjoying dinner on the patio listening to the surf. I can't say enough great things and hope we will be able to return some day.

We have stayed at Poipu Kapili six different times and unit #54 was the best! Beautifully upgraded kitchen and master bath/shower. It felt like a spa away from home. Our family really appreciated all of the ammenities - I loved the well stocked kitchen, we all loved the beach chairs, boogie boards and coolers so we could enjoy the day at the beach, the kids loved the movie and game selections, and the tennis rackets and box of balls. The books sharing dining tips and activities on the island were filled with wonderful advice. The views from the condo are spectacular! Thank your for sharing your wonderful condo!

Poipu Kapili is a very beautiful, quiet, deluxe, traditional Hawaiian condominium complex. The grounds consists of lush tropical gardens, a wonderful quiet pool, tennis courts, and even an herb garden to use in cooking. The ocean is right across a lightly traveled road, so you can watch whales, dolphins, divers, and boats right from your windows, the lawn, or your patio. A seawall across from the units is a nightly gathering spot for sunset watchers. The owner of the unit thought of everything! Not only was the condo beautifully kept and furnished (with even a better view than in the pictures), it was also full of wonderful extras - games, tennis raquets, lush beach towels, cooking staples, lusious lotions, binoculars, ice chests, hair dryers, books, etc, etc, etc. If you rent this condo, make sure you follow the tradition of helping to build her "resource books" - these are fun binders of restaurant and sightseeing reviews started by Cynthia but built on continually by the guests who stay in the unit.- what a great help and also very fun to read!
Owner response:We work very hard to make sure all the details are in place for a perfect Kauai vacation. Anyone can rent you a condo, we open our home to our guests and provide all the details to make a memorable stay.

What a wonderful vacation experience! Owner Cynthia was very responsive and accommodating on the reservation, and the condominium was nicely furnished and appointed. Quiet convenient location, although the secondary road between the patio and beach did have an occasional loud truck or motorcycle. The sound of the waves overshadowed that nicely. The whales were active and we saw a number of full breeches right from the patio. Our rating: Awesome! I'm sure we'll be back.

I would recommend this 2 story condo to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of Poipu beach with all of the ammenities of a beautiful home. This recently updated condo had everything we needed to make our stay in Kauai a memorable and comfortable vacation. While there was only 2 of us it was evident that this condo could comfortably handle an entire family. From the granite counter tops, the dark wood floors, the walk-in shower, to the ocean views from the front patio and master bedroom, the interior design is cosmopolitan while still being tropical. From our patio and bedroom we saw the most spectacular sunsets. The kitchen came fully equipped with everything we needed. The interior decorating was stunning and all of our needs were met in first class style. We will definitely be staying here again. We loved it! The owner (Cynthia Haines) was easy to work with and was very accomodating to our needs.

Cynthia, After a long flight and a short drive to the condo in a convertible, thru tree tunnel and then to open the doors to your condo, it was magnificent. The inside was just fabulous, from breath talking views from LR door, upstairs bedroom, to a well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, fantastic master bathroom, whoa it was .... just great. We enjoyed just hanging out at condo, going for run or discovering totally unbelievable beaches, free of people. ATV escapes, Waimea canyon drive, helicopter rides, Napali coast by raft....,loved it all. Loved snorkeling, thahks for snorkeling ewuipemnt from "Snorkel Bob" Wish we would move there but the reality is Texas. Would love to go back and stay at your condo. Dear Cynthia, WOW!!!....thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful condo. Your home was spacious(for our 2 families staying), and very comfortable. Our little toddlers had lots of room and we never felt crowded. We greatly appreciated all the little comforts of home(eg. kitchen well stocked, as we love to cook!!, variety of DVDs, binoculars to whale watch, lawn chairs,etc!!!)...we couldn't have asked for more!! We very much appreciated Bill and Kay and how accomodating, gracious, and friendly they were(eg. the toaster wasn't working properly, and that very afternoon they arrived with a brand new toaster for the condo!!!). The dryer was not working(awaiting repair) however we were not inconvenienced as it was only a short walk to the laundry room on the premises. We enjoyed watching sunrises and beautiful sunsets, whale watching every morning, and early evening(right close to shore too!!)...and thoroughly enjoyed Kauai's heavenly beauty....we only wished we could have stayed longer!!! That king size bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on....Cynthia, we'd appreciate if you could give us the name/brand of the mattress please??!!! Thanks again for a lovely place on such a gorgeous island....hope to return again soon!! Pam & Darren Mantyak, Edmonton Alberta Canada

After a long day of travel in order to get to Kauai, opening the doors to your home was a magnificently pleasant experience! We made full use of all the comforts of your home. We were able to conjure up some great meals with a truly well-equipped kitchen, enjoy the breath taking sunsets from the comfort of your lanai and take in the sounds of the crashing waves all day long. We toured the entire island and while the sights were fantastic, the truly relaxing part of the trip was coming back to Poipu Kapili #54 where we could wind down and just enjoy each other. Thank you for providing a gem of a house that made the trip so great for all of us!

We stayed at Cynthia's place for 10 days in Feb and as a mom of 4 young children, I found the unit, its amenities, and its proximity to kid-friendly activities really made the vacation top rate. Kitchen, laundry and gr floor bathroom made clean-ups from trips to the beach a breeze; floaties, boogie boards, board games, family DVDs, and nintendo were a hit with the kids (I actually had to 'drag' them OUT of the house). We also appreciated the books on the flora and fauna of Kauai and the binoculars for whale watching. We visited the Kiahuna Plantation units and they were much less spacious, not stocked with enough basics, and not well furnished. Only thing to note that was different than expected was the gas bbq's were at the tennis courts, while charcoal ones are by the pool. Thanks Cynthia, we had a wonderful time in your home!
Owner response:That is true about the BBQ's. It is nice that they are not allowed at each unit so that people don't have to breath in BBQ fumes. We are closer to the pool than the tennis courts.

We enjoyed so much having the beautiful ocean view right from the room, and the pool was the perfect splash around place for the kiddos. This was a very special trip for our family, and I will definitely be calling you to book it again in the years to come...staying at a resort was nice, but not nearly as cozy and "home away from home", but your home gave us that perfect finish to our trip. We spent a great week in this condo exploring Kauai and celebrating our birthdays. The condo is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and is stocked with all of the amenities needed to enjoy life on the island - from cooking and spending time at the ocean. Poipu is a great location - quiet, and the condo is right across the street from the ocean so the sound of the surf lulls you right to sleep. We had breakfast each morning on the lanai watching the morning surfers. The condo grounds were very nice, and close to many restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.

The location of the unit is ideal--just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Sheraton beach and great restaurants. You have a completely unobstructed view of the ocean and the unit is situated perfectly to watch the sunset. The unit feels like brand new inside. It is decorated very tastefully and richly and the kitchen is equipped with anything you could possibly need. You fall asleep at night to the sound of the lapping waves and you wake up to a view of palm trees and blue water and chirping birds. Some friends and I stayed at this condo for a week and had a wonderful time. What separates this property from others was the attention to detail. The owners provided everything we could need and most of what we wanted: tupperware, calphalon cookware, a good blender, body boards, cable tv, dishwasher, first aid kit. Consequently, we felt taken care of and after spending the entire day outside, on a beach or hiking the na pali rainforest, the condo was a welcoming, comfortable place to return. Thanks so much for adding to our trip!
