Comfortable hillside retreat in private walled, terraced garden at entrance to Rancho Atascadero. Bright, sun-filled bedrooms, five terraces, wood-burning fireplaces in two cozy corners, and gas space heaters for the rare cold snap. Responsible, reliable caretaker family (20+ years with us) in gatehouse on property. Private covered parking area. We take care of gardens and provide weekly house cleaning. Daily service, including personal laundry, dishwashing, babysitting is available.
The entire property is nestled in a lush, terraced garden system that has been steadily growing in size and beauty since the late 1940s. The charming cobbled streets at the entrance to the house lead to fine dining, swimming, shopping and exploring within a short walking distance. The main town center is a colorful stroll downhill from the house.
Monthly membership is available at the new Santo Domingo Sports Club- just down the street at #55 Santo Domingo- with heated, covered 25-meter pool, exercise room, health bar, etc. Daily access to the Club can also be purchased.
Studio on rooftop, with 360 degree view of Sierra Madre mountains and town below, is perfect for painter, sculptor, writer, thinker, birder. Has bathroom, kitchenette, and rollaway beds.

Two universities, two art schools, theater, writer's circle, library, cyber cafes, traditional markets as well as modern supermarkets, crafts, hospital with good modern health care, dental clinic, U.S. and Canadian consulates make this the perfect spot to leave worries behind. 3 hours from Mexico City (or 1 hour from Leon) by bus, limo, van or taxi. First class bus service also available from San Miguel to the United States.

Rental Rates .. $1800/month .. $1100/2 weeks .. $750/week (for 2 persons)
$120/week per person additional for more than 2 persons.
Daily Cleaning & Laundry Service is available for an additional $45/week.
Rates negotiable for long-term leases.
