This house is fantastic. We had 4 families meet for a week's vacation and it was exactly what we needed! The pictures don't do it justice. There is so much space and so many things to do. We caught fish and crabs, went boating and spent a ton of time in the pool! The location is perfect for taking tons of pictures ... and we definitely did. The house and property were 100% ready for us and we really appreciated all of the household things that were there for our use. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil imaginable and the decor is so nice! All of the quirky decorations are so charming and the house is very welcoming. We had a million questions for the owner and he was very prompt and helpful when he answered. We would definitely rent this house again, and would surely recommend it to ANYONE.
Owner response:Sandy glad you and your family enjoyed the house! Look forward to you staying again.

We spent Memorial Day Weekend 2011 in this large and beautiful home. It was perfect for our whole family. The pictures do not do it justice. The kids enjoyed catching crabs, we docked our boat right behind the house and could take it out whenever we wanted. The water was calm and clean, great for tubing. The house has absolutely everything you could need and plenty of room for large groups. Having the pool helped with our little one who gets bored on the boat. Its a wonderful neighborhood and everyone was very very nice. Can't wait to go back, it was absolutely perfect !!! Thanks Dan !!!

All five families had a great time celebrating a 60th wedding anniversay, 2 year old birthday and family reunion. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool crabbing, fishing, walks, sunsets and each other's company in a very accommading house with a beautiful view! Especially like the layout of the very open plan of the house so that even as we we doing different things, we were all together. Thank you for a lovely memorable vacation.

Mom says thanks for giving her a place to relax and enjoy her family. This was a special time for all of us after the passing of our grandma in March. Thanks Bunches.

This large home is a perfect spot to enjoy a family vacation. There is a good combination of roomy private bedrooms and several gathering areas for games, conversation and large get-togethers. My husband and I along with our four grown children and spouses had a wonderful time. There is so much to do in the area. Most of all the location is just perfect for relaxing and enjoying the water and the views. Dan and his wife are helpful and gracious hosts.

This is my 5th year with Dan and Andrea and I must say it is like being at home. I live in the East Ocean View section of Nofolk, in a condo ON the Chesapeake Bay, and still choose to bring my family here on vacation. We come from all over the state, Lake Gaston, Montpelier, Richmond, Norfolk and even my daughter from Syracuse NY. Because of the size, the amenities (pool & creek), everyone looks forward to the "Family Vacation". With 4 boys, 12, 13, 14 & 15, where else can you swim, fish, sea-doo and play ball, all in the same yard at the same time??? As I mentioned, I live on the Bay, my brother ON Lake Gaston, and we still choose this over these locations in Virginia Beach or the Outer Banks.. Economically, this is the best "bang for the buck" you will ever find!! If you're looking for a quiet place, with everything you could ask for, (except crowds), then I recommend this spot. Could 5 famlies from all over the state and upstate NY be wrong?? I look foward to keeping our family vacation a tradition with Dan and Andrea for many, many years to come..

My family and I enjoyed this wonderful house on the beautiful Potomac River. The home is very comfortable for a large family. We spent a lot of time in the pool and caught crabs from the pier on Gardner Creek. Bring a fish/ski boat if you can to enjoy fishing, skiing, and boating on the Potomac River.
