Location! Location! Location! This chalet-style home is located in the pines and aspens one-fourth mile from the State Park at Thumb Butte, yet two miles from Whiskey Row and the Courthouse Square in downtown Prescott. You can walk to the State Park and explore the multitude of hiking and biking paths that would take days to master. If dining and nightlife is your calling you can't beat Prescott's famous "Whiskey Row" for a lively dose of music, dancing, and dining. If shopping is your pleasure, don't forget to visit the many great antique shops, art galleries and boutiques during the day.

Sunrise over the granite boulders, and sunsets views over Thumb Butte is a daily event here. The house is private and sits on almost an acre in the country surrounded by pines, aspens, and views looking out to Thumb Butte. You can watch deer run through the yard, yet have all the entertainment of Prescott, just down the street.

This mountain home is four bedrooms and two-and-one-half baths, and is perfect for large families or groups of friends. All the rooms are large and comfortable. The high ceilings with expansive windows take full advantage of the sky and views.

Walking in the front door you are greeted by cozy cabin style living room with log home furnishings facing a cedar media center with TV/DVD, six-CD stereo, and an electric fireplace on a homey brick platform with huge windows looking though lovely pines to Thumb Butte. Off the living room is an open kitchen/dining/family room, and one-half bathroom. Since Prescott is one of the oldest western towns in Arizona, this room was designed after the western tradition. A stone wood-burning fireplace centers the room with a large down-filled sofa and ottoman. The dining room has a spacious "farm table" that seats ten for the perfect western barbecue. Outside the dining room you will find a comfortable covered patio with pleasant outdoor views and comfortable patio furniture.

The kitchen has a granite island with lots of cupboards, gas stove, and all the amenities of home. There is a bar area with two log barstools for those who like to watch the chef cook. You will love all the western bric brac and the spirits of the old west. Off the kitchen is a sliding glass door that exits out to a patio with barbecue, side covered deck and Hot Tub. You will enjoy the peace and privacy of sitting in the tub, while watching the deer run through the property and enjoying the evening sky.

Up the stairs are three large bedrooms. All the bedroom have high A-frame pine beam ceilings with expansive windows. The Master bedroom has pillow top King bed, couch, tv and a mini loft with twin bed for a child. The sunrises are beautiful from the window looking east. Next to the master is another bedroom with queen-size bed, and has the same view as the Master.
Down the hall is another room with king-size bed, with large windows and is tastefully decorated. It faces a large bookcase with electric fireplace and is very romantic. All the bedding has designer coverings and upscale linens. Off the Master is a laundry room, and a large full bathroom with a separate two person jetted sunken tub, shower, sink. For those that hike, this tub is a good antidote for aching muscles.

Another large bedroom on the first floor and has a king-size bed, twin bed, TV, private entrance, and has its own full bathroom. It is a great place for total privacy, or to put the kids when you want your privacy upstairs.

There are 3 areas around the house to enjoy. The front yard is grass with lush trees surrounding it. From the deck are beautiful views of Thumb Butte. The side area has a covered patio with table, bbq, and lots of seating. The upper area has more seating and great views of sunsets and sunrises.

This Mountain Home is the perfect getaway for those who want to be close to everything, but like the solitude of mountain living.

Perfect Vacation

We booked our Christmas vacation 4 months in advance and counted down the days until we got there. We were so excited as this was our first big family get together! And we were not disappointed. It was the perfect house for our families. There were 13 of us that came and went during the Christmas week and everyone had a blast! The kids were happy they had a little snow left to play in; the adults got to go into town for a little one-on-one time with their spouses and the neighborhood dog and cat came around for visits. It was perfect for hanging out, especially in the kitchen/dining/fireplace area...very cozy! The kids played games; I kept the fire going and Kathie fed us all. There is enough space, both inside and outside, that everyone can get away if they need to for some quiet time. All the amenities are provided and we lacked for nothing. Historic downtown is only a few minutes away and the national forest and Thumb Butte are literally around the corner. Perfect for everyone!

This cabin was AMAZING!!!! we arrived Friday night followed direction provided by owner to the lock box and made our way in to the cabin. Didn't really know what to expect. With the flick of the light we were all shocked by the beauty, coziness and cleanliness of this cabin! as you enter you walk directly in the living and dining rooms. The kitchen was great; open concept designed into the dining and living room, so while you cook you never leave the room, and there's a fireplace in the dining area! Granite island, big cook top, oven and microwave, and nice set of all sizes and shapes of pots and pans. Beds were clean and comfortable, master bed room was beautiful with high ceilings and great sunrises. We cant forget about the hot tub out side! Great for soaking your muscles after a long day of hiking around Thumb Butte ! Overall great cabin, big, spacious, minutes to Whiskey Row and nearby grocery store. I will defiantly recommend this cabin to every one! (just not the weekends I would want to go up!)

Wow...Prescott and this home is much more that I expected! I brought my family here for my birthday hoping for a nice cabin and fun time in Prescott. The cabin is a nice house...lots of room, stocked kitchen, big comfortable bedrooms, views, privacy...and GREAT hot tub!!! I really didn't think we'd spend so much time at the house but we loved hanging out here!! It was so quiet you had the feeling of being much more remote than it was. We were literally right up the street from downtown Prescott or "Whiskey Row" as they call it. Super nice town and really loved the antique shops on Cortez. We couldn't have found a better place to come to, or house to stay at. We were sad to leave!...but we're already planning our return.
