The true Swiss mountain village experience!

If you want the true Swiss mountain village experience, then Chalet Daheim is the place! The house is a typical quaint Swiss chalet, fully equipped with everything you would ever need. We stayed for a week and felt very much at home, not just in the house but also in the village of Isenfluh itself. The local villagers were all extremely friendly and helpful and we just fell in love with the whole place! There’s plenty of room, both our children loved having their own bedroom. We even had some friends come and stay with us on the Saturday night (the house sleeps 8). You must take the little cable car up to Sulwald as the view is quite breathtaking, we enjoyed a lovely day up there. There’s also so much to do in the Lauterbrunnen Valley and Interlaken, such as the Schilthorn, Jungfraujoch, Trummelbach Falle, Grindelwald, Murren, Wengen, Harderkulm, the list just goes on. Chalet Daheim and Isenfluh are the perfect base from which to explore it all. Urs was very helpful and provided us with a wealth of information about the Lauterbrunnen Valley, whilst also making the booking process very easy. His parents also made us feel very welcome (they live next door) and even made us some beautiful homemade strawberry and rhubarb jam! Thank you for a wonderful Swiss experience. We highly recommend staying at Chalet Daheim! Wayne, Lisa, Patrick & Caitlin Durran, Barwon Heads, AustraliaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Me, my husband and our 2 year old twins stayed in the Isenfluh apartment for 10 days in May, we really enjoyed the area and in apartment we found everything we needed to feel comfortable. Owners and their son Urs made everything so easy for us - every query was answered straight away and we felt that every single detail matters to them. Apartment itself is spacious, very well designed and views from the apartment and from the village are fantastic. Access road is a bit steep, but we got used to it after couple of days Overall - perfect home away from home Looking forward to coming back one dayDid you find this review helpful? Charming, rustic chalet in a great little village off the beaten path in Lauterbrunnen area. Home was clean and neat (just as the pictures suggested) and had everything that we needed for our family of 7...including a welcoming treat of freshly made strawberry/rhubarb jam! Great views, quiet place, nice folk. Will go back someday! Main road up is the best (and freshly paved), but for an adventuresome drive try to get there from the Lauterbrunnen side. We were driving a VW 8 passenger van and it just barely fit down the road to the actual house. If you're faint of heart in driving suggest you park at the parking lot 150m away and then walk to the house if you have more than a sedan.Did you find this review helpful? Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your Chalet. It was very homy and also very quiet environment. The scenery was also very beautiful. Our boys and ourself will always remember this place. I am sure if we come back to Switzerland we will make sure that we will come back to Isenfluh for a week again. We will never forget the narrow road coming up, but after a week we got used to it :-) Maya from Ontario, CanadaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had our best ever holiday. The chalet was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed plus WiFi which was a welcome extra for our two teenage daughters. The views from the balcony are fantastic worth coming just for the view.We felt very welcomed by the Daeppen family who are very helpful and hospitable. The village was very peaceful, beautiful and ideally situated to explore. The road to the village is narrow, a little scary but you soon get use to the drive and we managed it easily in a large saloon car. We went up mountains, went on First flight, did summer tobogganing and tried the scooters down the mountain in Isenfluh & did a bit of walking. Overall a fantastic week, would love to come back. We were so please to have chosen this chalet to hire. Switzerland is a beautiful country and the people are just as nice. We can't recommend it enough.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.
