Property description

Beautiful, romantic chalet on the sunny terrace in front of the breathtaking mountain Jungfrau. Quiet (Isenfluh is a small farmers village). Superb view to the Jungfrau and the other mountains of the Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald valley. Private balcony.
The chalet is tastefully furnished in a rustic and stylish way and offers a very cozy and comfortable accommodation for 7 people (additional on request). Spacious with 3 bed rooms, 1 bathrooms: with toilet & bath/shower. Kitchen incl. oven&dining area. Spacious living room with sat-TV. Charming Swiss Country-Style furniture. 2 minutes walk to local restaurant and public transport that brings you to both ski resorts of Wengen/Jungfrau and/or Muerren/Schilthorn. Ideal for Skiing from December to April in the 3 resorts of the Jungfrau-Region. Great walking, hiking, climbing mountaineering from May to October. All summer and winter sports available. The ideal place to recover with the whole family, friends or just alone.


Pure relaxation: Can there be anything more relaxing than setting off early in the morning to explore the winter wonderland on your snow-shoes, enjoying a delicious fondue in the evening and then racing back down to the village on a sledge?
The remote mountain village of Isenfluh (1520 m) is the ideal starting point for anyone seeking rest and relaxation. Explore the fairytale Saustal valley on snow-shoes and then reward yourself with an excellent cheese fondue in the quaint Sulwaldstübli. The finishing touch is the night-time sledge run down from Sulwald to Isenfluh.

Summer season: Hiking:
Over 500 km of signed footpaths offer walkers a large scale playground – from easy paths accessible to prams to adventure trails and challenging Alpine trails and via ferrata, the visitor is spoilt for choice. Those preferring to walk with poles will find the area offers the most perfect conditions. Nordic walking is good exercise in the open air for the whole body with low impact on the joints. In addition to the signed trails, weekly courses take place. The breathtaking panorama with the world-famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau triad will naturally accompany you on every walk. 160 km of signed mountain bike routes cover the spectacular countryside of the Jungfrau Region.

Isenfluh is a base for hiking, skiing, sledge-rides and many more winter activities - it is in the middle of the winter paradise Jungfrau-Region.

Both walking and climbing tours to the spectacular Lobhörner will exhilarate the visitor, discover mountain lakes, or go and see where farmers bring their cow's in summer and where teh real Swiss cheese is made.

The fantastic winter landscape literally invites you to come for a snowshoeing or ski-touring trip. An almost historic cable car takes visitors high up to Sulwald from where there is a stunning panorama To the Jungfrau mountain. On popular “Monster Trottis” in summer, and the sledge run in winter, the decent back to Isenfluh is fast and exciting – pure action for young and old!

Golf: The world-famous Alpine panorama provides a breathtaking backdrop for the Interlaken-Unterseen Golf Club course, nestling between Lakes Thun and Brienz. The location, the mostly level terrain and mild climate offer an invitation to great golf in the Bernese Oberland.

The golf course borders on a nature reserve and thus captivates not only nature lovers but also keen golfers who appreciate the harmonious balance between a sporting challenge and superb natural surroundings.

Eligibility to play: In addition to members of the Interlaken-Unterseen Golf Club, guests with a proven handicap are eligible to use the golf course.

Ski: Winter season - Skiing:

44 lifts and cable cars invite you to come and have fun in the snow. The three regions of Grindelwald-First, Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and Mürren-Schilthorn open up far over 200 km of slopes, including six to twelve kilometre-long runs down to the valley of various degrees of difficulty. A total of over 40% of the slopes are equipped with snow-making machines.

Snowboarding

The Jungfrau Region is a paradise for not only skiers, but also excites the heart of snowboarders. The latter can have fun on the countless slopes but, above all, in the snowboard parks on Grindelwald-First and Mürren-Schilthorn.

Cross-country skiing

The Alpine topography of the Jungfrau Region offers little space for Nordic cross-country skiing. The views of the mountains, though, are all the more spectacular.

About the owner: My parents live in the house for over twenty years now and are receiving holiday guests, show them around and help out with questions and tips. I do the booking and administrative tasks so that the holiday planning and preparation for guests gets easy and efficiently done.

In the middle of a small Swiss farmer village with unique views of the Jungfraujoch UNESCO World heritage - Swiss Alps... my father could not resist when it was on sales over twenty years ago.
