Our "SEAHOME" is located on a tidal marsh and is a 5 minute drive away from the beach and the club pool. The beaches are within easy biking distance.
This is our primary home, which we rent out selectively during the summer months.
Seabrook Club Amenity Cards are available directly from the Club for $150 per week, which allows free access by all house guests to the Beach Club pools(towels included). Normal charges apply to other club activities; Golf, Tennis, and Equestrian, see Club website.
It is open with two story ceilings in the main area which includes living and dining area. The A/C area of the house is 3200 sq ft, The screened porch and the deck adds 1,500 sq ft of "living area".
The 5 bedrooms have one king bed in the master, three bedrooms with queens and one with one single and a bunk bed. All bedrooms have direct access to a full bathroom.
There is a large deck facing a view over a small salt marsh with visiting wildlife. Outside sitting areas are open and shaded allowing flexibility depending on weather and temperature. A screened porch with dining table and sitting area makes it possible to be outside during most conditions.
Seabrook is a 2200 acre coastal barrier island. It is a private gated community, 22 miles from historic Charleston, SC. Seabrook is accessible only to owners and guests of owners. For discerning visitors, the choice is clear - a little less crowded, quieter, and more residential in character, Seabrook's lush, maritime forest and fascinating ecological balance have never been compromised.
Seabrook is a place where the world rarely intrudes and is edged by three miles of wide, uncrowded beaches and pristine dunes. Homes are set among ancient oaks by sea and marsh, with two championship golf courses, a tennis center, and beach horseback riding. There are Club pools at the beach with restaurants and a exercise an excersise facility.
Convenient local shopping at Freshfields and we are only about 30 minutes from historic Charleston, SC, a choice city with old European charm. The Charleston area is the second choice for the retiring "babyboomer generation" with its very desirable climate and culture, like the Spoletto festival with visiting theater and music groups.
Wireless/DSL internet connection is available. Cable TV available in five rooms.
Three adult bicycles, one with a child wagon and child bikes are available for your use. Several strollers and a babycrib are also available. We have crabbing gear and the "Crab Dock" on the marsh is 300 yards away. The island is flat with smoothly paved roads for walking, biking and rollerblading. There is minimal traffic with a STRICT Maximum 25 mph inside the gates so it is safe and relaxing.
