Our group of 8 women stayed at Sedona Vista for our annual girls' getaway in early May, and when we first walked in to the house our jaws just dropped at the amazing views. The home itself was lovely, a spacious and easy to use kitchen, plenty of room for us to eat at the table or relax on the couches in the evenings, but really what blew us all away was the outdoor area. The pool and terrace is incredible. We paid for the heating which made the water lovely to relax in all day, and the infinity edge was perfect for watching the sunset right from the pool. There was lots of seating and comfy loungers to soak up the sunshine, and the fire pit was perfect for when the evenings were a bit cool. We were out every day enjoying great mountain biking trails (a quick plug here for Over The Edge Sports - great bikes and fabulous service. Thanks Mike, Jason, Matt and the gang!) and a day trip to the Grand Canyon. All our families left at home were jealous when we sent them pictures of the house. Following on some other reviews, we did find the 4th bedroom a little dark and the bathroom small, but really who wants to spend their time in a bedroom when there is so much else to do? Likewise the furniture was not new, but still perfectly functional. The view was all we were looking at anyway. We would definitely stay at Sedona Vista if we go to Sedona again, and would certainly recommend it to others.

We stayed with our three boys 11, 14, 17 and had a great time. The house location is great. The pool, spa and hot tub are perfect. Sunsets are unobstructed and not to be missed. Additionally there is some hiking that can be done from the house. Like some other reviews there are some blinds that need attention but other than that we would recommend the house to others. If we ever get to come back we will rent again.
Owner response:Hi Frank, Thank you for the review. We finally had an opening at the Sedona Vista to install the replacement blinds. Hope you can return soon to stay with us.

We rented Sedona Vista for 8 days in early April for our family vacation which included 3 generations and 9 people from 84-8 years old. IT WAS AWESOME! This house is extremely spacious especially the bedrooms (I didn't expect this from the pictures)! We've rented several vacation homes in different locations in the US and found this one to be comfortable, well decorated and well equipped. The outdoor area of this home is a private retreat. My husband and I never sat on the living room couch until the final day of our vacation and we never turned the tv on in our bedroom. The outdoor space has lots of seating that is VERY comfortable and the views are amazing-we spent all of our free time there. The infinity pool is a nice touch and added to the outdoor environment by framing the red rock views-it is just cool. The location of the house is great. It's walking distance to the Airport Mesa-we hiked the airport loop trail which has amazing views and we checked out the Airport Vortex. And there's plenty of other trails within a short drive. There is a ton to do in the area. We went horseback riding a MDiamond Ranch, drove to the Grand Canyon, and took the Verde Canyon RailRoad. We could have easily spent another week in Sedona. The owner was attentive and responded to issues promptly. We did have an issue with the washing machine which he replaced quickly and made other arrangements for us to do our laundry in the interum. We ate at the Cowboy Club, El Richon, and the Coffepot and had great meals at all of them. But Senor Bob's Hotdog place was probably our favorite because it has a great local flavor. Tip: We've learned to focus on location over decor when renting vacation houses and this house is in an ideal location. If you're more interested in decor the house next door is rented by the same owner and is more updated but doesn't have an infinity pool.

Had a fabulous time, great house, great location! Perfect & very comfortable for our family & friends visiting! Sure beats staying at a hotel. The views & sunsets were amazing! The pool, spa, and pool patio were perfect for relaxing & star gazing at night. Firepit was great on the cooler nights, making smores. Centrally located, close to grocery stores, very convienent to everything. We hiked, Devil's Bridge was awesome, mountain biked, Jeep Tour, great, horsebackriding,Diamond Ranch, Grand Canyon, day trip, golf at Seven Canyons, some many things to do & see, one week is not enough. We were suppose to go ballooning but was cancelled due to high winds, that was disappointing. Jane the concierge was great & very helpful with dining suggestions. Can't wait to get back & will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

The view is lovely. The pool and spa area are heavenly. The kitchen is well-stocked. The living and dining room are very comfortable. But there are a few things that need work on this vacation home. Some of the window shutters are broken (e.g. missing pull strings) so you can't pull them up; some light fixtures are missing switches; the pillows are all (apparently) foam so makes for a hard nights' sleep. There is a dark bedroom downstairs (jungle room?) with an adjoining bathroom that has a shower that barely fits a body into it and smells musty (spilled shower water perhaps?). I believe the king bed in that room is two twins pushed together which made for quite a hill in the middle! The maid showed up an hour-and-a-half before designated "check-out time" thus pressuring us informally to hurry up and clear out. The day after we left, we realized a swimsuit was still hanging behind a door - requested it's return with all mailing expenses paid by us - but they claimed it wasn't there (where could it have gone?). Other than the above, it's a nice home in a wonderful location (close to everything). The owner was responsive to our questions on the spa and pool. It was clean and had plenty of towels and linens. It just needs some upgrades here and there to bring it in league with some of the other higher-end, larger VRBO properties we've stayed in. p.s. We loved the Pink Jeep Tours and made a nice daytrip up to the Grand Canyon. Also enjoyed a stargazing tour. So much to do and see in Sedona! And the scenery is so incredible.
Owner response:We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay in Sedona and welcome your feedback, along with any recommendations that enable us to correct any deficiencies immediately. We gladly mail any items left behind at our cost, however the missing bathing suit is a puzzle. We strive to have a 100% satisfaction rating from our guests and hope to have you return soon.

My Mother, sisters and I stayed at Sedona Vista for a very special family birthday celebration. Sedona Vista is in a beautiful location and has an amazingly beautiful view of Thunder Mountain. You have privacy while being only minutes from the various attractions of beautiful Sedona. The pool area is fantastic! The amazing sunsets reflecting on the pool with the invisible edge, facing off toward the mountain provides such a magical feeling. Inside you find 4 bedrooms, all with very comfortable king size beds! The living area, dining room and kitchen are light and open, offering gorgeous views. Staying at Sedona Vista during our special event has given us so many wonderful memories.

We stayed at Sedona Vista for a week in early June, and we absolutely loved it. We had 7 adults (all family from 2 different generations), and we felt right at home together at this property. Our trip wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable if we had stayed in a hotel. The layout of the house made it possible for all of us to stay together while still maintaining our privacy. The neighborhood was lovely, and we were not far from anything we wanted to do in Sedona. We were close to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. It was very convenient. We spent quite a bit of time traveling to nearby towns and attractions, and it was so pleasant to come back "home" to such a comfortable house when we were exhausted. Toward the end of our trip, we chose to slow down a bit and stay closer to Sedona. One big upside to this was that we were able to spend more time hanging out together at the house. It was cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed grilling on the patio/cooking in the fabulous kitchen with the absolute best view of the red rocks as a backdrop. The fire pit by the pool was so nice. Several nights after dinner, we sat around it roasting marshmallows and eating s'mores. The washer and dryer were very convenient; we did get pretty filthy doing things like river rafting and the wildlife safari jeep tour, so being able to wash clothes was a big help. The pool was gorgeous, but icy. We did brave it one day, and it was pretty fun. I would recommend paying the extra to have it heated ... I just didn't know that we would need to heat a pool in Arizona in June. I would definitely recommend Sedona Vista to anyone traveling to Sedona!

After staying one week in this house I must say that the killer views were upset by some inconveniences......The fourth bedroom downstairs is dark, non ventilated and decoration needs redoing... the mattress is uneven...and the shower small .. The furniture in the living room upstairs is tired and dirty, needs to be redone...lamps and shades broken in some of the rooms...covers on beds need refreshing ... not enough furniture in the upstairs terraces..pool was not heated until tuesday, and next day it rained and got cold again and was not heated until friday, so only used it once...(after paying for the heating fees!)...we have stayed in many houses around the world, and never been asked to wash towels before we leave!!!
Owner response:Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate hearing about your experience. We do encourage your critique and apologize for some of the issues you encountered. We pride ourselves on addressing any deficiencies brought to our attention and assure you that we will inspect & address the items immediately. We regret the delay in heating the pool (our pool service had to replace a part) a few days into the stay and will issue a pool heat refund. If you decide to join us again we will include pool and spa heating at no cost to you, at any of our properties in Sedona.

Our expectations were already pretty high considering the website descriptions and reviews of this home. All I can say is that even then, our expectations were exceeded by the home's beauty, comfort and amenities. The interior furnishings were perfect for our two families, and the patio was unsurpassed with its pool, spa, fire pit, BBQ, and of course the view. We cannot await to return.

We were unprepared for the magnificient views and exceptional location of the home in Sedona. The house accomodated us beautifully, and it was a pleasure to return to the home after spending the days exploring Sedona and the surrounding areas. The patio area was beautifully laid out and we all enjoyed watching the stars at night from the hot tub. This was one of the best vacations we have ever taken, and our accomodations made the trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this vacation home.

We had an incredible trip in mid March to Sedona. The Sedona Vista property was perfect for us, very spacious and modern. The views from almost every room were breathtaking. We enjoyed the heated spa with view of the red rocks from the terrace. The home feels secluded, but is actually very close to shopping and points of interest. One of the most impressive was the airport dome / lookout which is visible from the house. On top of the lookout, you have an almost 360 degree view of sedona and red rock formations. Best pictures of the trip. We will definately return to Sedona Vista.

We have rented other properties from Rob, and he is a pleasure to work with! The outdoor living space is amazing - we really enjoyed the hot tub during our January stay, and hope to go back in warmer weather to fully appreciate the infinity pool. The firepit was wonderful, and we made good use of the grill. The men would have liked flatscreens, but Sedona has too much to offer to worry about televisions! There are lots of stairs, so anyone with difficulty climbing stairs is probably not a good match; but it was good for us! Plenty of room; comfy beds. Beautiful home in a beautiful place!

Just spent a lovely week at the Sedona Vista. The listing pictures are very accurate. It's even better in person. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach with questions. GREAT location...close to everything in Sedona, but tucked away perfectly up on a hill to feel like a private oasis. Despite needing a few minor updates (i.e. coffee pot, kitchen sink, ice maker, stereo system...also couldn't get the firepit to work)...we thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation here. Our only significant complaint would be the out-of-close-reach and difficult to understand pool and spa heating system. The listing says both are heated, but does not explain that both can not be heated at the SAME time. Pool heat had to be turned off to heat the spa and vice-versa...This was a disappointment to us, especially since we had a few unusually chilly June days/nights, only getting into the 60s and 70s. The system also claimed the pool to be heated to 84 degrees, but even the pool maintenance guys agreed that was inaccurate....it was nippy, even when it reached 95 outside. However...all that being said...the views and comfort of the house could not otherwise be beat. We loved it and had a hard time leaving.
