Nestled between the towering Santa Rosa, San Jacinto and Shadow Mountain ranges, our Bermuda Dunes Country Club (BDCC) vacation rental is just minutes from many of the Coachella Valley's 200 golf courses. Away from hustle and bustle of Palm Springs and Palm Desert, this Montego West condo, part of the venerable BDCC gated community, offers everything you need for a luxurious break from the world.
Note: This vacation rental is located minutes from the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival and Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California.
Showcase Condo renovated in 2006
Bright and high-ceilinged, this 2,600 square foot, two-level condo is impeccably furnished in newly acquired contemporary furnishings and fine art, with white carpet throughout. Two huge upper and lower patios command a view of the expansive lawn surrounding the nearly private pool and the backdrop of the Shadow Mountains.
The North-facing patios give you afternoon shade to lounge in, while a third South-facing patio gives you a private place for sun worshiping. The upper patio's misters spray fine jets of cooling water for the extra warm days, while the overhead heater will take the chill off during the cool evenings. There's also a garage to keep your car out of the desert sun.
Relax in two master suites on the lower level while playing games, watching TV or entertaining your local friends in the spacious great room upstairs with its full kitchen and dining area. When you need that extra bed for the occasional guest, there is a queen hide-a-bed, also upstairs, next to the third full bath. (Please note that this is for the occasional guest; occupancy is limited to four non-smoking adults.) The 2nd Master suite also doubles as an office with comfortable furnishings.
Resort and Area Activities
Montego West's spa, pool and tennis courts are also available to you and your guests. Although BDCC Golf Course is not open to the public, you will be just minutes from many public courses, including the Golf Club at Terra Lago (formerly Landmark Golf Club), two courses at Sun City Palm Desert, Sun City Shadow Hills, Palm Desert Resort Country Club, Heritage Palms and many more.
Fine Dining Options
A few favorite restaurants, all just minutes away, are Arnold Palmer's, The Hog's Breath Inn, LG's and The Cliff House in LaQuinta; Castelli's, Pacifica, Sullivan's and Romitti's in Palm Desert and Wally's Desert Turtle and Las Casuelas Neuvas in Rancho Mirage. They're all great and several offer live music.

One of the oldest and well known resort areas in the desert, BDCC is easy to find. We're one mile from the Bermuda Dunes Private Airport, 20 miles from Palm Springs International Airport and 85 miles from Ontario Airport. From Los Angeles and San Diego it's about a two hour drive.

What a perfect retreat! The Accommodations were superb and the weather a delight, especially after Oregon's rain. We enjoyed every minute in the sun. "The Follies" were fantastic. I had a wonderful time at your condo, thanks for having me! The Pool and Jacuzzi were welcome amenities—especially with my sore shoulder—and they’re only steps away. Just open the sliding doors of your private bedroom and you’re there! There were very few people in residence while I was there so it was like having a private pool. The weather was perfect—sunny and warm. The Bermuda Dunes Golf Course and Club House is a short walk from the condo and the grounds are breathtaking. Breakfast at the Club House is superb and you can sit on the patio and watch the golfers while enjoying your food. The Club is for members only so if you plan to dine there be sure to contact Chuck the owner beforehand and he'll give you the details. Also, be sure to bring a collared shirt or they won’t let you in! Best Restaurant: Chef George’s, eclectic European menu, must have reservations, only open between 5-9pm. Phone (760) 200-1768.Trip Highlight: Watching Annika Sorenstam tee it up at the Kraft Nabisco.Weather was superb, even the ready windy week in February couldn’t keep us off the golf course.Looking forward to coming back in 2008.Did you find this review helpful? Your condo has everything to ensure a stress-free stay. It's always a risk when you rent a place through the internet and your beautiful home exceeded our expectations. We tried five different golf courses this past week and found one, Terra Logo, that offers a reasonable winter membership while offering two beautiful 18s to choose from. Dinner at the Hog's Breath Inn was a highlight. The food was delicious, an the house wine, "Hog's Breath Le Snoot", worth a taste. We too (like the previous guest) missed having a hair dryer on hand and have contributed one to your household inventory a small thank you. We left the cold and snow behind in Calgary and enjoyed a week of sunshine and light breezes. Perfect! It was immediately apparent you had tried to think of everything to ensure a stress-free stay. I purchased my Bermuda Dunes Country Club condo because I love golf, the sun and the California Desert. My family and I enjoy the condo for holidays and get-away's whenever possible and I make it available for rent the rest of the time.
