  Our family of 4 stayed in this apartment for 5 nights in June,2012 and were very happy with the experience. The location is the biggest asset - it is extremely conveniently located and we were able to make our way around the city with no trouble at all. The apartment is on the 3rd floor ( 4th for Americans) so it would probably not be ideal for older visitors and/or those with difficulty climbing stairs. It is well maintained and accurately portrayed in the photos. Our 2 older teenage kids are tall and the apartment was cozy with all of us in it but by no means uncomfortable. The owner's representative, was extremely convivial and helpful. All in all, I'd highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a more personal stay in Barcelona rather than putting up in a hotel with other tourists.

  My wife and I recently stayed here and absolutely loved this apartment! It was in such a great location, The Raval District and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. While we did not cook much, we definitely enjoyed the large refrigerator to store our foods, the huge bed (one mattress - I've stayed in places where 2 small mattresses were put together, very uncomfortable! - but this one was really nice!). Tons of storage for clothes and even a drying rack outside the bedroom window to dry our clothes! The fixtures were modern and up to date, the heater worked magically too. The only complaints I would have were these two: 1) the water heater is small, so for those travelling in pair/group make sure to space out your shower times or someone will not be happy! (ps: small shower too, but I'm 6'4" so everything is small, my wife had no complaints) 2)The power shorted on us one night, twice. Once we were awake and once when we were sleeping (not fun to wake up really cold!). All I had to do was flip the switch on the circuit breaker (right next to apt. door so easy to find!) and voila we had power again! No biggie Really my complaints aren't big deals, just 2 minor inconveniences we experienced but wanted to give a heads up to future residents. Judit is a really lovely woman and she took her time to make sure my wife and I knew where all the major sites were, how to get to each of them, as well as how to find the nearest market (2 blocks behind La Boqueria - use the back entrance and you won't have to walk to La Rambla!!) and grocery store. She even gave us a more detailed map than the one we had brought with us. She spoke English (we're American) and we had no problems communicating either. Overall this apartment exceeded our expectations (HUGE FOR A EUROPEAN APARTMENT!) Would definitely stay here again and am currently recommending this apartment to everyone. Make sure you book today!

  Our first impression of the place was that it seemed a little bit dodgy - but we soon realised that El Raval just takes some time to get used to. In fact the apartment is really conveniently located - minutes away from La Rambla. We did learn that if you go too far in the opposite direction of La Rambla, you will end up in the seedier area of El Raval. But it's easy enough to avoid. The apartment itself was comfortable and recently renovated. But as a family of four it was a bit too small. This would be great for a couple, or even three people. Judit was an excellent hostess - and very patient with us when we dealt with some banking issues. A pleasant stay in a very cool city.

  When we first arrived at this apartment, my husband and I were a little weary...the neighborhood looked a little gritty, and the door to the building looked kind of old and rundown. We braved the 3 story climb up a narrow, dimly-lit staircase, thinking maybe we had made the wrong choice. But as soon as the door opened, it was like stepping into an oasis! The apartment is very clean, and seems to have been recently renovated, with new, modern fixtures. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a kettle, a toaster, etc. The only thing it didn't have was a clothes washer, but I was able to wash a few things in the sink instead. The location, although seemingly suspect at first, was actually ideal. It's a short walk to La Rambla and Barri Gotic, and the neighborhood where it's located (El Raval) has lots of interesting bars and restaurants in it's own right. You're also a short walk from the metro at either Universitat or Plaza Catalunya which will take you anywhere else you want to go in the city. Judit, the woman who manages the apartment, was extremely nice and helpful, giving us great suggestions for places to eat and things to see. The only thing that was possibly lacking was wi-fi. But, thankfully, there was an internet cafe not too far away that was really cheap (.50€/30 min), so when we needed to get on-line, we had that as an option. We were extremely happy with our stay at this apartment, and would recommend it to friends as well.

  I stayed at this apartment for a week in June. The location is amazing. There is a delicious restaurant right next door to the apartment. We had 3 people in the apartment comfortably. The bedroom has tons of storage space and the kitchen is a great little kitchen to prepare meals in. There is someone that has wireless in the building so we were able to pick up on that while sitting at the table in the dining room. The only thing I would warn old customers is that there are about 4 flights of steep stairs that you Very close to the Market and about 5 minutes from the metro stop Liceu. The management was great and even left a few guide books for us to use.

I highly recommend this property In my earlier review I forgot to mention that we had WiFi from the city inside the apartment.

  Mr Alunni, I wanted a moment to thank you for the use of your apartment during our stay in Barcelona. As it was our first time to Spain and being unaccustomed with the area, its ideal location was most appreciated. Understanding that the apartment is of the budget-type, we appreciated its cleaniness and the air conditioning. Martin was very easy to reach and helpful in providing us with much needed basic information about Spain and Barcelona. Thanks again for making that portion of our trip more enjoyable.
