This 45-square-meter completely renovated apartment, with parquet floor and wooden ceiling, is located in the Ciutat Vella (Old Town) on a small, picturesque street two blocks from 'Las Ramblas' (Calle Roig), just behind the famous food market of 'La Boqueria' (see map on the website). The surrounding area is home to popular museums like the Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA) and 'Picasso Museum', as well as new and interesting art galleries.

This vibrant and trendy neighborhood is a place where you’ll find multicultural street fairs, Bohemian boutiques and the hippest bars and clubs. Gaudí, the most celebrated architect in Spain, constructed his first major project, Palau Güell, just one block away. Five minutes further on you come to 'El Barrio Gotico' (the Gothic district) with the Cathedral and Plaza Real (Royal Square) plus a number of amazing buildings as well as restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.
The beach is at only 10/15 minutes, by bus or metro.
The apartment is air-conditioned (and air-heated) and it is perfectly suitable for either singles, couples or small families/groups.
There is one bedroom suitable for two people (double bed) with a spacious wardrobe. There is also a living room with a sofa/bed for 2 people and a folding bed for 1 more person.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave oven and all cooking necessities.
A newly renovated bathroom is equipped with shower/tub, toilet and sink.
The apartment is on the third floor (real) of a small old building. No lift, but an easy way up.
Two metro stops are very close to the apartment: 'Liceu' (L3), on the Rambla, and 'Universitat' (L1 and L2). Barcelona's easy-to-use metro puts any part of the city within reach.

As it was our first time to Spain and being unaccustomed with the area, its ideal location was most appreciated. Understanding that the apartment is of the budget-type, we appreciated its cleaniness and the air conditioning.
