This waterfront penthouse is located in the heart of downtown Victoria in the Mermaid building. On the waterfront of the harbour and the edge of the Gorge waterway, the Mermaid Building allows its guests to experience downtown Victoria, the Inner Harbour, the Gorge Waterway, the ocean, the upper part of the island and Vancouver, with ease.
Some of Victoria’s most popular restaurants surround the building, making it easy to have gourmet meals with out the worry of taxis or drinking and driving.
Within 100 meters, the Dayliner train starts its 300 Kilometre journey up the island every morning and returns the same day, stopping at many towns on the way. Take a Whale watching tour right outside the door. Or rent a kayak and glide through the harbour to the open ocean to discover the Pacific’s wild life. Or paddle up the Gorge waterway and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Salmon Fish with a charter or rent a power boat and just take it easy touring Victoria from the water’s perspective. If you have your own boat, there is moorage also right outside the door.
Just steps away, the harbour sea planes take passengers in a half hour flight to downtown Vancouver, offering great shopping on Robson street, Theatres, Stanley Park and more, and all in a day allowing one to return home for dinner.

Cycle, stroll, run, or even ride a horse on the picturesque Galloping Goose Trail. This multi-use trail, formerly a railway line, moves right beside the Mermaid Building, through urban, rural and wilderness scenery on its 55-kilometre journey from Victoria to Sooke. Whether you're commuting to work, meandering on a weekend afternoon or pacing yourself from Sidney to Sooke, the trail is yours to enjoy.
Catch the little Harbour Ferry stopping at the Mermaid and travel right up the Gorge waterway to Tillicum and down to the Empress.
The Suite sleeps four. There is a hide-a-bed queen and a queen bed. Nothing has been spared in furnishing this space. It is fully equipped with a 27 inch flat screen TV, stereo, DVD player, high speed internet and modem, microwave, dishwasher, stove, fridge, blender, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a claw foot tub, separate shower and pedastall sink.

My husband and I stayed at the condo for 3 nights last week and we really enjoyed it! It was only a 10 minute walk from downtown Victoria, making it really convenient as we decided not to rent a car. The Victoria Harbour Ferry is just a few steps from the entrance of the condo! Chinatown is just right around the corner so we just bought food rather than cooking in the condo. Great views both from inside the condo and the roof deck. The owner, Jeanie was very helpful and very accomodating. Thanks so much!

We spent 3 nights at this property and just loved it! While it is not located directly in the hub of the waterfront tourist area, it is only a few minutes walk. The weather was pretty rotten one day of our vacation, but thanks to the cozy space, we had a great time just relaxing inside and enjoying the view of the city and waterfront. Lots of great shops and restaurants to explore in the surrounding neighborhood, plus you are only a few blocks from Chinatown. Owner Jeanie has great tips on the best 'local' favorite places to dine. Take her advice! :) We highly recommend this property.

This condo really does have the perfect location. We stayed over Canada Day and had front row seats to the fireworks display right from the balcony!! Within walking distance of every downtown attraction. Loved the cozy comfortable feel this place had to offer. Being on the top floor offered a nice quiet sanctuary after spending busy days in the hustle and bustle of Victoria. Also handy to have underground parking. If we ever go back this would be my first choice. Loved it!!

We found this top floor condo after 6 years searching all across North America looking for the perfect winter get away from snow. We were so impressed by this romantic and very bright penthouse apartment and the great views of city and inner harbor with all the activity. This was the best and our favorite place we stayed in Victoria. It is ideally located for restaurants, shopping and all the tourist attractions. The halibut tacos at the Canoe across the street are amazing.
