This waterfront penthouse is located in the heart of downtown Victoria in the Mermaid building. On the waterfront of the harbour and the edge of the Gorge waterway, the Mermaid Building allows its guests to experience downtown Victoria, the Inner Harbour, the Gorge Waterway, the ocean, the upper part of the island and Vancouver, with ease.
Some of Victoria’s most popular restaurants surround the building, making it easy to have gourmet meals with out the worry of taxis or drinking and driving.
Take a Whale watching tour right outside the door. Or rent a kayak and glide through the harbour to the open ocean to discover the Pacific’s wild life. Or paddle up the Gorge waterway and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Salmon Fish with a charter or rent a power boat and just take it easy touring Victoria from the water’s perspective.
Just steps away, the harbour sea planes take passengers in a half hour flight to downtown Vancouver, offering great shopping on Robson street, Theatres, Stanley Park and more, and all in a day allowing one to return home for dinner.

Whether you're commuting to work, meandering on a weekend afternoon or pacing yourself from Sidney to Sooke, the trail is yours to enjoy.
Catch the little Harbour Ferry stopping at the Mermaid and travel right up the Gorge waterway to Tillicum and down to the Empress.
The Suite sleeps four. There is a hide-a-bed queen and a queen bed. Nothing has been spared in furnishing this space. It is fully equipped with a 32 inch flat screen Smart TV, stereo, DVD player, high speed internet and modem, microwave, dishwasher, stove, fridge, blender, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a claw foot tub, separate shower and pedastall sink.

We found this top floor condo after 6 years searching all across North America looking for the perfect winter get away from snow. We were so impressed by this romantic and very bright penthouse apartment and the great views of city and inner harbor with all the activity. This was the best and our favorite place we stayed in Victoria. It is ideally located for restaurants, shopping and all the tourist attractions. The halibut tacos at the Canoe across the street are amazing.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our Victoria experience , this was a prefect location for two people, many places in walking distance from the penthouse. One of the best locations to explore Victoria. We loved being able to walk to great restaurants and being close to the best boutique shopping on Lower Johnson. The condo feels so connected to the city and water activity that we were entertained just being inside. Compared to other places we have rented, this is definitely one of the best! We enjoyed a glass of wine on our roof top patio before we went out and thought this was one of the best views in the city!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and trendy uptown condo. It is located close to the waterfront in a wonderful area, walking distance to the James Bay, the Empress, Chinatown and all the great restaurant and shopping areas of Victoria. The condo was elegant and comfortable at the same time, and I loved the character of the bathroom! If you want to enjoy a meal outside there is a large private deck with an awesome few of the bay. This is in an elegant, trendy condo in an excellent location and I would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Location and view were amazing. Beautiful walks right outside the door. We could rent kayaks and bikes. Great restaurants all around. Would definitely stay here again when coming to Victoria. Great views of the city, water and parliament buildings while being steps away from the downtown core. Excellent, romantic room with a sunny private deck and a fantastic kitchen with all the necessities. Although my husband and I live in Victoria, we decided to treat ourselves on our Anniversary which happens to be on Valentine's Day, and we were indeed treated. Our stay at the Mermaid Wharf was more then we anticipated. After a wonderful meal at one of the many restaurants in the area we strolled back to the Mermaid which was only five minutes away. Wonderful location; everything within walking distance. We so enjoyed the private rooftop patio; beautiful view of the city and the night lights are absolutely gorgeous. Our stay at this downtown location was indeed a treat and plan to make this a yearly tradition.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We really lucked out with this view and location! Jeanie couldn't do enough for us. We didn't use our car for visiting the downtown. Everything was so close, we walked. when taking a break and just relaxing inside the condo, we could still enjoy the action by just watching the view. Condo is indeed bright and romantic.
