This was a dream vacation and more! It was a family vacation of a lifetime to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. The house was wonderful! Everyone had plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy, and then come together to visit. Our 6 and 4 year olds made sure that daddy was building a fire everynight for s'mores, stories, and having fun with their grandparents and uncle and aunt. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The Adamsons had the most well stocked and supplied kitchen that we have had in a rental house. Take time to enjoy the puzzles and look for the puzzle that is a picture of the house. We didn't find it until later in the week, so we didn't get to finish it. The bedroom themes were great and have continued to be points of conversation when talking about our trip. There were plenty of extra blankets to take care of those crisp nights. It was wonderful to be close to Yellowstone and all that nature had to offer, yet not be around all the trappings of a tourist destination. For us, this time of year was perfect and Betty was very helpful with packing suggestions to match the weather. Make sure that you enjoy the sunsets and take blankets out to stay and watch the stars. It will be very hard to find a house that will complete with this one on our next vacation! Hoping to convince my husband's family to take this adventure in a few years, because it was incredibly hard to leave. Besides, our 6 week old won't remember this and I would like him to have his own memories. Thank you for making this a week to remember.

We agree completely with the previous review. The cabin is more beautiful than the photos show, the view and location are fabulous, and the home (and especially kitchen) is fully equipped with everything a family needs. It was absolutely perfect for our gathering, and way beyond our expectations! The Adamsons were very helpful providing valuable information to make our stay as easy as possible. We should have checked with Betty for the local weather forecast, because weather.com was off by more than 15 degrees for the daily high temperatures! I don’t know what they call it in the upper Rockies, but the Adamsons definitely have the Aloha spirit! Staying in this cabin was such a pleasure, I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

We recently spent a wonderful week at this home and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit. The mountain and lake views were magnificent, the amenities were great and the owners are absolutely wonderful. Before our visit the owners provided helpful information about weather, shopping and attractions. During our visit they were available, when needed, to answer questions and provide support. After our visit, they even shipped a couple of our grandchildren's left behind items that escaped our final sweep of the house before leaving. In summary, the owners are very thoughtful and caring people and we are blessed to have met them. It was a wonderful base to tour Yellowstone from and it allowed you privacy after touring with thousands of others during the day. The gourmet kitchen was a plus to our son who loves to cook. The outdoor fire pit provided wonderful star filled nights for story telling and roasting marshmallows. The horseshoe pit provided many wonderful games between our family members. On long tour days we enjoyed dinner at the nearby saloon (restaurant) which proved to be an excellent place to order the finest chicken fried steak we've had since living in Oklahoma. The furniture was great and the beds were comfortable and relaxing. Satellite TV was available, but I never turned it on. The photos simply do not do this home proper justice. It is a wonderful place to visit and we would highly recommend it to our friends. Some suggestions if you visit: Make your menu in advance and shop before leaving larger nearby cities if flying in. We shopped at the Wal-Mart in Bozeman. If your extended family is visiting, rent several cars so that you have freedom of choice when scheduling activities. Take heed to the owner's advice on how to dress for the local weather. We left temperatures approaching 100 but were well prepared because the owners told us to dress warm. We had frosty mornings and pleasant days. As a treat for our grandchildren, we even had snow at the higher elevations while touring one day. Finally, bring your camera and expect to have a great time.

We recently vacationed at the Hebgen Lake Home in August of this year. The property was absolutely beautiful. We had extended family members join us and their was plenty of room for everyone. Our children enjoyed the grassy area around the fire pit, playing on the large deck around the house and the video/game room. The kitchen was great for cooking, especially for such a large group. The view of the lake is truly incredible. It is a great place to stay if you want to see Yellowstone. The entrance to the park was not too far away and you have the convenience of the little town of West Yellowstone if you needed to pick up groceries or stop for a bite to eat. Other family members enjoyed fishing on the lake every morning. We hope to have another family reunion/vacation at Hebgen Lake Home in a few years. Betty and her family were very pleasant and accomdating to our questions and any needs. We can't wait to visit again, Kevin and Cindy Manes

Betty and Steve, we stayed at your beautiful home with our family the week of August 1st of 2009. Kevin Manes, our son-in-law, worked with you on our arrangements. Besides enjoying our family vacation at your cabin, we wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay with our motorhome on the cabin grounds. Thanks to you, we were able to spend precious moments with our children, grandchildren and then meet up with our friends in West Glacier. Thank you so much for everything.

It is so nice to arrive at a place you've rented and be absolutely happy with your choice. We fell in love with Betty and Steve's log cabin home the minute we arrived. We couldn't wait for the rest of our group to arrive the next day. All the extra spices and staples in the cupboard came in very handy. We loved the view, the sunsets and the decor. My husband rented a fishing boat and tied it up in the cove right across the street. He hired a fishing guide for the Madison river - loved that too. We all enjoyed our trips into Yellowstone and the town of West Yellowstone (great shopping). We all thought the location was perfect - even the Longhorn Salon which is right next door. They had a nice band and great food. My husband was disappointed at first that he could not get an Internet connection - but actually it worked out good - he relaxed. We hope to go back again someday. Awewome memories.

We stayed in the cabin 8/30/08 to 9/06/08. This is absolutely the most beautifully designed and decorated home we have ever stayed in. Steve and Betsy (homeowners) are the absolutely nicest people you will ever have the privelege of meeting. Their generosity with items to use at the cabin are unsurpassed. Their love of this "home" and it is a home, is evident everywhere you look. The area in itself is absolutely breathtaking. I could write a book about our stay and this wonderful home. My only regret is there wasn't near enough time to do everything. There wasn't even enough time to do things available at the cabin (horseshoes, games, movies galore, firepit outside, a gourmet kitchen to die for & even makes cooking on vacation fun, etc., etc., ).... let alone the lake, surrounding area and Yellowstone. If you have an opportunity to go, and you want a reference, please call us. I only hope we have an opportunity to go again. The BEST VACATION PLACE EVER!!!! AND BEST PEOPLE TO RENT FROM!!! This home is a great place to stay near Yellowstone. It is beautiful, both the home and the setting. It is very spacious and well furnished. It is also well supplied. There are little extra things that make the stay especially nice, like backpacks to use when hiking and a hammock to lounge on. The owners are very hospitable. We had no complaints, only lots of positive things to rave about during our stay.

Our families stayed at the Hebgen Lake Home from July 12th through the 19th 2008. The home far exceeded our expectation and was absolutely magnificent. Betty and Steve are great homeowners who were very helpful throughout our stay. It was obvious that their house was built with lots of love. Everyone in our group felt very much at home. This house has a perfect design for large groups and is very well furnished. The layout is ideal to congregate while still having enough areas to sit back and relax. The location of the house is spectacular being next to a beautiful lake and mountain just 16 miles away from the West Yellowstone entrance. The pictures on the website do this home no justice. Once we arrived, the entire group was astonished with size and beauty of the cabin. The amenities include a great firepit, huge sandbox, outdoor grill, and large yard in the back which our kids enjoyed playing soccer on. The lake is just a short walk away and we were able to rent a boat fairly easily. We even had the opportunity to do some fishing. It is fair to say that we will rent this home again in the future. If we were to rate this home on a 1 to 10 scale, we would give it a 12! Thank you again Steve and Betty for opening up your wonderful home to our family. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email us and we will give you an honest answer.

Comments from guest book in cabin: People here are wonderful! All the rangers were kind and helpful. Betty and Steve were great with us and the town people were very friendly. We loved taking walks along Quake Lake and seeing the bald eagles. Our five year old asked, "why are we going home?" The house was wonderful. The kids loved the downstairs and we loved having some adult time upstairs. What a great place for 2 families

Yellowstone Family Vacation 2006 Our family of seven stayed at the cabin in July 2006 and had one of the most peaceful and refreshing vacations ever. The pictures of this cabin can not do it justice. It was breathtaking and even more breathtaking was the view from the cabin deck. This is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and each of us would highly recommend it to anyone. Whether you want an action packed vacation in Yellowstone Park or a quiet relaxing vacation fishing near the cabin, you will not be disappointed.

Our family of five and our neighbor's family stayed at the cabin in Aug. 2006 and found it to be wonderful. The house was huge, immaculate, and well decorated. The property was 15 miles from the entrance of West Yelowstone and we woke up to a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding countryside where the antics of two foxes kept us watching every morning. The owners left us a list of nearby attractions and we enjoyed one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at the Campfire restaurant just 6 miles away. It was so wonderful to come back to the house after a busy day at Yellowstone and know we would have plenty of room in a wonderful setting to relax. I really loved it there and if we ever return to Yellowstone we will stay at the house again.I have stayed in quite a few vacation homes and would give this one an A+ or 4 star rating.
