Canadian-owned, beautifully-maintained private villa. Take in breathtaking views of the Gulf of Papayago and enjoy peace and tranquility amid the lush surroundings on this three-acre property. Each of the beautifully appointed, air conditioned rooms comes complete with fully-tiled private bath, bar fridge, sink and an assortment of dishes and cutlery.
The four upper-most rooms have very recently been professionally redecorated to reflect the flavour and quality of this fine property. All beds are queen-sized and are very comfortable; the two main floor bedrooms also accommodate two single beds each. Each of the six rooms look out onto the manicured gardens as well the beautiful ocean beyond.
Take the central spiral staircase with its glass-etched windows to the living, dining and kitchen areas. The living room has also been redecorated with very comfortable sofas and chairs. The kitchen is fully-equipped for a service of 16 and comes complete with fridge, stove, microwave and a variety of small appliances. The laundry room is located just off the kitchen. From the kitchen step out onto a balcony and enjoy your morning cup of coffee and plate of fresh local fruit and soak up the view of the ocean and gorgeous natural surroundings. Keep an eye out for parrots that often fly by and have an ear for the howler monkeys that call this beautiful valley home.
Just a few steps down and take a refreshing swim in your own private pool or relax out of the sun in the round whirlpool jacuzzi. The pool deck area is very spacious with chairs and loungers. Oh, and did I mention the view? There is also an outside shower for rinsing off.
The residential community of Ocatal is just 5 miles from the bustling and vibrant seaside town of Coco. Coco has just about everything you would need, banks, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. It's a fun town to stroll through and immerse yourself in a typical Tico town. Don't be shy about heading out after dark, we have always found it to be safe and the grandkids like to go get a circoleta or icecream after dinner. If you would like restaurants recommendations we would be pleased to point you in the right direction. There are plenty of clean and friendly establishments.
If you would like to explore the local countryside we might recommend a trip to the Arenal volcanoe. Its a lovely drive through charming towns and plenty of spectacular views. Bring your bathing suits because you will want to have a long hot soak in the volcanic hot springs. There is plenty to do for the adventureous sort. We have done horse back riding, deep sea fishing, visited the turtle beaches, canopy tours through the tree tops,sailed up the coastline on a day catamaran trip and we have also just made a cool drink, grabbed our book and lounged by the pool.
