Share in the excitement of Pirates Weekend and the Poker Race with roaring cigarette boats, delight in the parade of the antique boats, wonderful art galleries, performances in restored 1800 opera house, visit castles, antique shops, watch the island people come by boat to get their supplies at the town docks, enjoy Canadian towns, restaurants and casino, relax and just enjoy nature. Fishing at Watch Island
Had a tremendous time at your place. Weather was pretty good. Only rained for a couple hours on Saturday. Fishing was totally awesome. (See attachments above) My friends wife caught a 50 inch Muskie that weighed 36 lbs about 300 yards out in front of the island. We caught a bunch of big northern pike a 10 pound sheepshead and several big bass. Left your place in great shape as always. Might have to book again next year. Kevin

Best House in 1000 Islands - Amazing!!!
Best House in 1000 Islands - Amazing!!!
We stayed in this amazing house for my BD weekend and we had the best time ever. The pictures don't say half of the story. The wood work in the Living Room is spectacular!!!, Has tons of entertainment for all ages. The rooms are spacious, very well furnished and every room has a view to the river. I love this place!!, Marilyn (the owner) was amazing, gave us tons of directions and ideas for everything we need it. We rented a panthoon boat for the weekend and the house had a big dock to accommodate it. If you look around 1000 islands, you'll quickly realize that this is one of the best houses around. At night, the porch is just beautiful; you have the most amazing view of the sunset and sunrise... I recommend this place 100%. You can't die without having visiting this place first...

The best vacation we have ever taken. Beautiful house, breathtaking views and so much to do. The history of the area and the quaint towns made it so very interesting. We could have stayed another month. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of being on your own island.

About the owner: We are the second family to own this magnificant island and beautiful victorian house in 112 years. My 3 brothers and I grew up in Rochester, NY and all have wonderful families which include 20 grand children. It has been the greatest experience ever to watch them discover the 1000 islands. We all gather at the islands from our homes in Roch.and Ossining, NY.
Why the Owner Chose Clayton:
It is one of the most magical and beautiful areas in the world. A real surprise to find more than a 1000 islands in upstate NY. We all grew up dreaming of owning our own island and 'dreams do come true.' We were amazed at the homes beauty when we first saw it which was in ill repair. We have completely restored the house to what it was when it was built adding essential modern updates... plumbing, heating, electric. Then furnished it in period furniture. What fun!
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
There is nothing more exciting, adventurous, romantic thank owning your own island. Awesome!! It offers peace, tranquility, privacy and room for all your family to enjoy especially the water sports. A life changing experience. It is such a privilege to own such a magnificent piece of history. AND one we are able to share with the world thru VRBO and Homeaway.
