  We have been to Cape San Blas several times before but this was our best yet trip. We spent spring break with our family and found the Sandcastle to meet all our needs and then some! The home was in excellent condition and beautifully furnished! The kitchen had utensils/cookware to prepare any type of meal. Weather was great with only 1 rainy day that we spent shopping and eating at our favorite restaurant in Appalachicola. We are already talking about a return trip to Sandcastle next year!

  We had a week of rest and relaxation at Sandcastle. It was everything and more than described. The home is beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed all the windows and the beautiful view of the ocean. Open the door and the beach is right there. The Trading Post is a short walk and the pizza was pretty good ! We ate at Triple Tails and Coneheads and both were great !!! This was our 2nd year at Cape San Blas and we hope to return next year and would love to stay at Sandcastle. Thank you Holly and Gordon for sharing your home with us.

  Everything and more than we had hoped for. Outstanding view, very comfortable and right on the beach. Open concept main floor was great when family and friends visited. So many positive things to say about "The Sandcastle" & Cape San Blas. Fit our style just fine to sit back and relax.

  This was our first time to the area, and we quickly fell in love with the non-crowded area and beaches! The house was terrific; every night we sat on the screened in porch and listened to the waves hit the beach. The house is very near a market, which was very convenient for picking up a pizza to eat or going to the ice cream stand there for milkshakes. The home was very nice and clean, and our son loved the master suite upstairs; we will definitely go back.

  This house was perfect for me/husband, our twin daughters and their husbands. It was everything we hoped for and more. Quiet, clean, well furnished, close to nothing but close to everything. We will certainly return for another visit.

  This house was very comfortable and had every amenity we could ask for. It was decorated beautifully and was very clean. The owner was super nice and helpful with our concerns about possibly having to evacuate for a tropical storm. After two days of rain, the weather was perfect. The beach was gorgeous- white sand, clear water and uncrowded! We will definitely come back. The only bummer was the amount of jellyfish in the water. I hope that they were only there because of the tropical storm. One of our favorite activities was collecting seashells and taking walks on the endless beach. Also, we enjoyed the Indian Pass Raw Bar.

  Our vacation at Sandcastle was very pleasant. The house is comfortable and well-equipped for the most part. Its location was perfect because of the easy beach access. The website accurately reflected what was in the house and we were pleased that everything was neat and clean. More than once Ie -mailed the owner with questions and she was friendly and very helpful.. We didn't really avail ourselves of nearby activities because we chose Cape San Blas to be out of the fray. What we wanted was to walk on the beach, swim, and spend time together. We did go in to Port St. Joe Marina one day and had lunch at the cafe. In our previous two visits there the food was wonderful. This trime it was really marginal. I don't know whether they had a new cook or what. Anyway, it's fun to be one the water and see the boats. If I had once criticism, it would be that the beds were not very comfortable. I know it's hard to find a rental that has hotel quality beds, but these were in need of replacing. Overall, I would say we were very well-satisfied with our experience at Sandcastle and will consider returning there another year.

  We enjoyed our week at Cape San Blas staying at Sandcastle. The house is comfortable and very much as advertised on VRBO.com. The furnishings and appliances are a step up from those we have had at many other beach houses. The weather was perfect--mild and no rain. The beach at CSB is beautiful as always, and not too crowded. It had been 3.5 years since we last visited the Cape (staying then at another house), and we were glad to see that the area has been well cared for and pretty much as we remembered it. The Indian Pass Raw Bar was again excellent. Try the baked oysters, and we enjoyed the stuffed shrimp. Another good recommendation from Holly was Killer Seafood up in Mexico Beach. It's a relatively short drive and worth the effort. We enjoyed the seafood cooked in the K.S. Simmering Sauce. They open at 5:00 p.m., but that is Central Time, not Eastern. You'll want to get there (and at the IP Raw Bar) early to avoid a wait. I also made the drive east to St. James Bay Golf Club to try that course out. It's a bit of a hike (1:15 hours), but a very nice course and a refreshing change from the golf course in Port St. Joe. We look forward to coming back to Sandcastle and Cape San Blas. There's no better place to decompress and settle back to relax with a good book. One other tip: If you're driving down from Atlanta through Dothan, stop at Dobbs Family BBQ on the south side of the perimeter highway. It's on the right when you turn onto US 231 heading down toward Panama City. Cheap and delicious old-time barbeque.
