Luxurious Euro-Boutique Condominium. Views, Beach, Shopping.
Located in the heart of Waikiki. Fully air-conditioned with quiet central air, and loaded. Spacious 500 square feet of living area with long lanai, and light, airy rooms. The perfect balance of stylish gold leaf, period pieces, and cool modern fixtures.
FROM THE GUEST BOOK:
'My husband and I really enjoyed our three week stay. We travel to Waikiki every year but this was the first time that we rented an apartment. The condominium was clean, right down to the white carpet, well equipped and close to everything the city offers. We are already planning our holiday for next year, and hope to have the same condo for years to come! (Katlin Simons, Newport Beach).'
' The apartment is very lovely, and the chandelier is so elegant. It is quiet roomy, very comfortable, functionally equipped, and quiet. It is well situated, close to the central park, the beach, and all the attractions, with a reliable bus service too and from the airport. The shops include Prada, Burberry, Ives Saint Laurent, etc. There are plenty of restaurants. If you need any help in deciding what to do the staff can make recommendations. Waikiki has a lot to offer, and we had a lovely time there. (Darlene McCully, Paris, France)'
Why stay in a hotel, this luxury condo is much, much nicer, at about the same price. This condo is central to all the fun, but away from the crowds of tourists.
The hotel/condo was built in 1977 by the Japanese, during a time when money was no object. The main building materials are marble and gold leaf.
The room is a good size, much larger than a hotel room, you will be very comfortable. There is a marble kitchen and bathroom.
You have 24 hour valet parking at $15/day, or park for free on the street. There are two restaurants in the hotel.
The condo is adjacent to De Russey Park, and the De Russey Park Beach. This is a very nice area where the 'Beautiful People' go. There are also free tennis courts in the park with night lighting.
It is a short walk to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and the Royal Hawaiian Pink Palace, or the Shearaton Mona Surfrider; but it is also very, very, nice to return to the quiet of this condo at the Royal Garden, and get away from all the hoi polloi, and crowds of tourists, and children. So you get the best of all worlds, all within a five minute walk.
The world famous Ala Mona shopping centre is also nearby.
The bus stop is 1/2 block away. There is no need for a car.
This luxury condo is much nicer than a hotel room.

I stayed ten days in room this room. The Royal Garden is nice and quiet, this room is OK, nothing magical or spectacular but is clean and a good value compared to other properties. The purpose of my review is to thank the staff that works for the reservation agency -- I forgot my suede jacket, an expensive mistake, but I called the local number while I was at the airport to report that I forgot my jacket and to my surprise they sent it to my address in Minnesota by FEDEX, you can't have better service, thank you.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: ***** Owners Response. Yes, thank you for the kind words, we really appreciate it. We have the nicest property managers, they have even been known to take people out in their 50 foot luxury sailing yacht for free; for those tenants who are super, duper, friendly and fun. The hotel was recently remodeled by Wyndham, and won a prestigious national design award, the large lobby, with sofas, is all marble and gold with ceiling frescos, the hallways are newly renovated, the kitchen and bathrooms are marble including the walls, etc. We are constantly upgrading the Royal Garden rooms. You get a fancy laundry room with washers and dryers, free, no coins needed which is rare in Waikiki. We have fancier rooms, but they are very expensive. The better deal if you are on a budget is to stay at the Royal Garden. You are at the beach, or by the pool most of the day, so why pay for an excessively expensive room? The Royal Garden is best all around, nice, but not too expensive. Honestly, of all our many properties, we prefer the Royal Garden; it is quiet with no buses stopping, or parking, under the windows, and no noisy trolley cars with screaming tourists driving by; which can be a big problem in Waikiki; it is also out of the wind, which is very, very, important, our rooms are away from the street noise, down a quiet side street, and also, the rooms are on the cooler side of the building; this is a bigger deal than you may think; the people on the sunny side of the buildings cannot open the curtains due to the excessive sun; so we feel fortunate that our rooms allow you to open the curtains and enjoy the spectacular views, which are of the park, canal, mountainside, cityscape, and partial ocean view; you also get a specular view of the Friday night fireworks from the balcony lanai. When the college baseball field, across the canal, is lit up at night it looks really spectacular. We have quiet, central air conditioning. Our rooms are booked 98% of the time; so try to book early if you can. Honestly, this place is nice if you need some serious rest and peace; as it is quieter than most Waikiki properties. We have an automatic on-line booking system so you may book instantly if you like. There is also a video of the property on our website - what you see in the video is what you get. Warmest Aloha from everyone at ParadiseWithAView. E Komo Mai!

We stay a month each year and like to have more accomodations than what you might get in a typical hotel room. The pool area is green and lovely, the lobby is spectaclar and recently refurbished, there is a nice breakfast room and a full buffet breakfast costs only $10, there is free parking on the street around the corner, and a block away, the bus goes everywhere and is very inexpensive, and we only rent a car on days when we want to drive around the island, otherwise everything is within walking distance. It is a lovely walk through the park to the beach, the US Army maintains the park and there are no homeless in De Russy Park, which we liked a lot. Overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed every minute, also the expensive Trump hotel is very close and we would go there for dinner and look out over the water at sunset; the Beachwalk area is also very close and has good shops and restaurants, and stores like Gucci and Prada are very nearby.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We rented a room on the 19th floor, the owner showed us how to get free WIFI in the room, although he said it was not always available for free; there is free WIFI in the lobby, although you will need to get the password from the front desk, the free WIFI in the lobby is always there. You may also get pay-as-you-go WIFI in the room. There is also a room with a computer you can use, and a printer, etc. The owner told us that WIFI in Hawaii is not as fast and not as good as WIFI on the mainland, because Hawaii is in the middle of the ocean and the connections are not as good as what you might be used to on the mainland. We had a wonderful time as the beds were nice, the pool area serine, and there was minimal traffic noise. The hotel is always painting and replacing things, it is just one of the things in the tropics that is necessary if you want to stay in a nice place. We come every year to this hotel. It is also full of airline pilots; I guess those guys know where the good deals are.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 11/15

The kitchen has; electric frying pan, electric wok, large electric pot, electric rice cooker, oven, microwave, plates, utensils, glasses, etc., etc. It has an oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer. It is a large kitchenette, not a full sized kitchen. There are photos of the kitchen on the owners webiste, which also has an automatic booking system.Did you find this review helpful? The bed and sofa were comfortable, bathroom nicely remodeled. Kitchen adequate for cooking simple meals. The pool was too cold to swim in, but the garden area was very nice. Great location, close to beach, food and shopping.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.
Owner response: ***** Owners Response ***** None of the swimming pools in Waikiki are heated. The nice thing about the pool at the Royal Garden condo hotel, is that it is not filled up with hundreds of screaming children, which, is a problem with many of the pools in Waikiki, instead, this pool is very quiet and peaceful which is a big benefit that many people do not consider prior to coming to Waikiki. Aloha, and Mahalo, the team at ParadiseWithAView

The room was fairly decent. The bed was comfortable and the linens clean. There were some dusty areas in the room that had not been cleaned in awhile, but overall the unit was fairly clean. The unit is advertised as having a fully equipped kitchen, but things such as a sharp knife and dish cloths and wash cloths were not available. In my travel experiences, these things were usually included. Was disappointed that there was no hotplate (emails to the owner had assured us there was one) but we made do with what was there. The sink in the kitchen was very small (about 10 inches square) which made it very difficult to wash up the huge wok and other electric pots, and the faucet attachment on the sink was very wobbly and loose. The lanai is very narrow (about 2 feet) so you could not really sit on it but the sliding window opened wide enough so that you could enjoy the view and noise while dining. Being on one of the higher floors I thought that the traffic noise would not be too bad, but with 2 main streets on either side of the hotel, it was as loud as being on street level. The free WIFI was handy, but it was spotty. Some days a connection could not be made. I thought that possibly it was my laptop, but I could see that other users were also having connection problems. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful, but there was not much they could do about it. It was, none the less, a wonderful stay in paradise! The renos at the hotel will make it a top notch hotel, but I don't think I would pay more to stay in this unit.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: ***** Owner Response ***** Extra kitchen towels are kept in the bathroom cupboard. There are 3 types of WI-FI, in the room for free (does not always work), free in the lobby (always works), pay-as-you-go WIFI in the room (always works). The kitchen has; electric frying pan, electric wok, large electric pot, electric rice cooker, oven, microwave, plates, etc. A photo of the kitchen is shown above. We provide you with a vacuum cleaner, extra cleaning is available upon request. This room is substantially quieter than most Waikiki rooms because there is no roadway directly beneath the windows. The outside lanai runs the entire lenght of the unit, about 30 feet long, and has 2 chairs for outside seating. We prvide serrated knives for safety. Warmest regards, the team at ParadiseWithAView.
