With two living rooms both equipped with TVs, DVD, and VCRs, separate dining room, attached playroom and fenced in backyard, John's Crab Shack's new owners have lovingly redecorated with your perfect vacation in mind!

John's Crab Shack is waiting to help you create a relaxing vacation full of cherished memories. Enjoy yourself under the shady oaks of the fenced-in backyard. Take a cruise around the island on one of the owner-provided beach bikes. Load up the beach cart and stroll over the tidal creek to the beautiful beach or try your hand at surf fishing. Wash the sand from your feet in the private outdoor shower. Put an umbrella in your drink and grab a book as you relax in the backyard hammock. Whip up a gourmet meal in the well-stocked kitchen or grill out on the back-yard deck. Take a family portrait on the red couch with the hand painted mural as a backdrop. For a rainy day, John's Crab Shack comes equipped with plenty of games, puzzles, and books to keep the whole family entertained. If that is not enough, then take a short drive to historic Southport to visit musems, art galleries, historic homes and then dine in one of Southports many excellent resteraunts. For day trips, historic downtown Wilmington is only 45 minutes, Myrtle Beach is an easy 1 hour drive or take a scenic ferry ride to exclusive Bald Head Island.

  • My family joined my brothers family here for a great vacation. We had 3 children and 4 adults and plenty of room! We enjoyed loading the yellow wagon each day with ocean gear and the easy walk to the beach. I definitely recommend this "Shack" to anyone. We would look to rent here again.

  • Johns Crab Shack is a great place to stay at a great price. We stayed with our 3 boys and two dogs and had plenty, actually more room than we needed, and it was great! We went to Texas this last year for vacation, but hope to return for as long as they continue to rent the prop in the future.. ANyone,, and I mean ANYONE looking for A GREAT PLACE AT A GREAT PRICE ONA BEAUTIFULL BEACH, SHOULD DEFF. STAY AT JOHNS CRAB SHACK.
