Welcome to Casa Verde, our inviting five bedroom/four bath, 3000 square foot home located a mere 25-50 yards from the beautiful beaches of South Walton. It is located in Water's Edge, which is a gated community just West of Rosemary Beach and approximately six miles East of Seaside.
The home is tastefully decorated with cottage-style Seaside decor, slip-covered down sofas, original art and has unobstructed Gulf views. Three bedrooms have their own porches with rocking chair seating. Enjoy a tiled living area with hardwood floors in secondary bedrooms. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and stained cabinetry with a large island with seating for four. The kitchen also has every known kitchen gadget... equipped for a gourmet cook!
The living room and dining room are open and provide a comfortable space for entertaining large groups. A slip covered sectional sofa with chaise lounge, slip-covered rocking chair and rattan occasional chairs provide ample seating in the family room. The dining table seats eight, the bar seats four more and there is a drop leaf table that will accommodate four more guests.
The family room features built in bookshelves with board games, stereo/CD player, DVD/VHS player and TV. The pool is ideally placed just outside the family room doors. Phantom screens allow Mom and Dad to enjoy the air conditioning while the kids splash nearby in the spacious heated pool. The pool courtyard runs the full length of home with umbrella and lounge chair seating, a gas BBQ grill and covered porch seating.
Four generously sized bedrooms plus a kids bunk room span the three story home. Four of the five bedrooms have private baths with ceramic tile and all bedrooms feature walk in closets. The bedroom on the first floor has two full beds. On the second floor, there are two rooms with King Beds and the bunk room with bunk twins, which is cheerfully decorated with nautical decor. The third floor provides a private king room with a fantastic Gulf view.

Dear Chuck: What a beautiful house you have! We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the Florida panhandle. The weather was clear but windy and chilly so we did not get to use the beach or the pool but enjoyed looking at both. Several of my brothers and my sister had rented houses in Water's Edge (5 total) so it was fun being able to walk back and forth to visit. Please let me know about how you handle the return of the security deposit. To answer your questions: House was sparkling clean. Kitchen seemed very well equipped; we only had breakfast there each day so we didn't get into a lot of cooking. The only appliance I had trouble with was the iron. Since we were there for a wedding, we had more formal clothes and the iron just doesn't work properly. Also, there is a dearth of hangers in the house. Suggest you go to Target and buy a ton of those plastic hangers and put them into each closet. Pool was great to view and clean. We ended up having only 6 of us there with the new baby but the house would have easily accommodated our original estimate of 10 people. (I really liked having the two downstairs bedroom for my two sons. Don't think they would have fit in the bunk beds.) The Rosemary Beach baby-sitting service was wonderful. They sent a lovely young woman to care for our three month old granddaughter. That is a good recommendation if you're ever asked. Overall rating - excellent! Warm regards, Maureen

Chuck We had a great week. Sweated out the first couple of days with the path that Ernesto would take and when he went elsewhere we were left with some overall great weather. Loved the house, its location and the great beaches. My 86 year old dad passed on the stairway to the beach but we did get him into the pool a a few times and he enjoyed that. Chuck---we had an excellent vacation at Casa Verde! The house was clean and fresh-smelling upon our arrival. We were short bedding and towels for Saturday night, but Jim had that taken care of for us on Sunday. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed, so much so that we cooked in even more than usual! The kids loved the pool and the pool company got the water cleared up on Monday---a little shock always does the trick! The walk to the beach is very convenient and the water/beach was beautiful. We usually vacation at Amelia Island and we so enjoyed the clear, warm waters of the gulf! Our 7 year old grandson made friends at the beach that he had great fun with (he did miss the boogie board waves of the Atlantic but enjoyed snorkeling for fish). We enjoyed the area amenities enormously that we could just walk to---O'Henry's for flavored coffee, Wild Olives for the daily scone, the Sugar Shack for evening ice cream, Onanos for an awesome evening meal near the water, the musical fountains for the kids to frolic in after sunset, and the Trading Company for our shopping fix! By the look of construction, things will only get better! Our only disappointment was that we had to leave at week's end---a big 10 for Casa Verde!

We thought that the house was wonderful! I loved everything about it! We had such a great time...I am just sad that we had to come back to the real world! The house was very clean when we got there. The pool was awesome...the light inside the pool was out, but no biggie. Awesome! We would definitely rent again if we needed that size house...no doubt. Thanks so much for all of your help.

It was absolutely perfect! Could not have been cleaner!Kitchen was the best we have ever visited. The only thing missing was a cook!Pool was great! The heater made it like a swimming pool which we all loved! The website is great. I thought that the gated community part was even better in person – you don’t get the whole idea until you are there – and it is awesome! So safe and quiet! GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! Cannot wait to go back!!!!!

Casa Verde was wonderful - it was even better than the pictures! The house is very well appointed and we didn't want for any kind of appliance or utensil in the kitchen. Everyone's favorite gathering place was the huge dining table. With a very short walk down the path, the beach was much closer than we thought. The concierge service was fabulous as well. It was just the perfect place for 8 ladies to celebrate our 40th birthdays!
