  Just stayed with our toddler for two weeks - wonderful ocean/valley views, tasteful and comfortable decor, very accommodating owners, great neighborhood and location. Would not hesitate recommending this property to anyone who wants to stay relatively close to central Honolulu in one of the better neighborhoods on O'ahu. Also a wonderful place for former kama'aina. A great find. Mahalo nui loa, Kari and Fred!

  It's hard to know where to start. The house is amazingly priced for what you get (don't know how they do it). We'll try to summarize the things we enjoyed most. LOCATION: We enjoyed being close to everything, but not in the middle of the craziness of Wakiki. We took trips to Sandy Beach (best body surfing on the Island), Makapu'U beach/Sea Life Park, Hanauma Cove (best snorkling), Wakiki, Pearl Harbor, several hikes including Manoa Falls, where they filmed parts of Jurasic Park - all of these easily accessed from this home. You pass a Foodland coming into the neighborhood, which is perfect for picking up everything needed for dinner and happy hour on your very own ocean view "Lanai". It's close enough to easily make the extra trip back for that one thing you forgot. VIEW: The view of the ocean is spectacular from the front lanai, and the mountains can be seen as well. We ate all of our meals on the lanai, and even saw the most amazing rainbow we had ever seen during dinner one evening. AMENITIES: The home is equipped with lots of beach gear, including masks and fins, beach towels, mats, chairs, coolers - you name it! We packed up the car each morning with the supplies from the house, and were well prepared for everything and anything. NEIGHBORHOOD: The neighborhood is charming, and the neighbors very friendly. If you have any questions, you can ask anyone around you and they are quite happy to help. Even the gardener was cheerful and helpful. THE HOME: Of course, the most important thing is the home, which was quite roomy (my 2 boys are 6' 8" tall, and the 5 of us - all adults - were quite comfortable) and very clean. The home was well decorated in the Hawaiian style, which was fun - there were toys for young kids available, and plenty of outdoor living space, which we like. There are no bugs to speak of (how do they do that?), so almost all of our waking time was spent in either the front or back lanai. The grounds were well landscaped, all around the house, and there were lots of exotic flowers blooming the entire time we were there - which smelled wonderful. There are many stairs up to the house from the street, but they are in excellent shape, and there's a sturdy handrail all the way up: my mother and father who are in their 80s had no trouble getting up and down the steps (but do be aware of the steps, if that's an issue for you). If you're planning a trip to Hawaii, I would book this house NOW - it won't last long!

  My rental of this property was the result of reading all the reviews. Because the reviews were all so positive I was concerned that my expectations would be too high. After all I am a contractor and I know this is an older home. However I was not disappointed. Being away from the centre was truly a blessing. We had friends and family who stayed at the "popular" places and visiting them was a parking and traffic frustration. This place is close to anywhere you may need to go but has all the luxuries' and quiet of home. Doors and windows were left open for the night with no concerns. Thanks for a great Oahu vacation.

  Everything we needed we here, and then some! This is an older home, but it is beautiful. I actually found the house to be BETTER than the pictures. We will be back!

  We loved our stay at this house. It was so comfortable and was a great location. Every morning we would wake up and eat on the deck and watch the sunrise. It was within 1 hour of everything we wanted to do and a lot closer for most things. We would stay here again if we ever get the opportunity to go back to Hawaii.

  We vacation frequently on Oahu and this visit had the good fortune to stay in this well appointed, well cared for lovely Hawaiian home! The location was superior-convenient to everything you could possibly need and a good base to sightsee from. The lanai, with wonderful views of the ocean, was just the best! The property was "barefoot" clean and was stocked with everything imagineable. The owners were a pleasure to work with and were exceptionally accommodating when health issues caused problems for our travel schedule. This"Home Away From Home" gets our highest recommendation....we can't wait to return!

  House was clean and functional. Extras such as paper products, washer/dryer products, plastic containers for left-overs, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels were all much appreciated. Lanai especially nice. Owners very responsive and helpful. Recommended.

  This is the third time we have stayed at this house. It was, as always, wonderfully furnished, has a terrific view from the deck. The location is unique because it is in a residential (quiet) location, close to a supermarket, close to the main highway in the area so you can get to wherever you want. The owners are terrific and answered very promptly when we had questions -- they are so accommodating and pleasant that they make us feel like friends. This house is one of the things I look forward to on my vacations to Oahu and is one of the most relaxing parts of the vacation! We love every part of this vacation house and definitely intend to continue to make it part of our future stays.

  This was the perfect place for our week long Oahu vacation!! Everything was better than described! Location was close to everything, but just far enough away to be quiet and relaxed. The owners were very easy to work with and have thought of just about everything. Having access to all the little extras such as snorkeling gear, beach towels, and coolers was nice for trips to the beach. The Lanai was our favorite spot in the morning for breakfast, and in the evening for a glass of wine. The home was very comfortable and clean. Highly recommended! Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home.

  This house is ideal for a family get away or any group of travelers looking for adventure. The house is close to the main road but not too close - that way it's nice and quiet during the late afternoons. It is also slightly up a hill so the view of the residents, ocean and mountains are gorgeous. The size of the house fits 6 people comfortably with a nice patio for the family and friends to bond in the morning or evening. This house is also ideally located near a lot of plazas, restaurants and adventurous activities. There is a gas station and super market just down the street with Uncle Clay's Shaved Ice (yelp it - 5 star). Hiking - During our stay, we hiked Makapu'u Point, Diamond Head and Koko Head. All three trails are 5-10 minute drive away. Water activities - We went jet skiing and parasailing just down the street. Surfing at Waikiki Beach is 10-15 minutes away. Sandy Beach is also just down the street for more experienced surfers. Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay also down the street. The options are abundant! You do need a car. Will need to walk stairs so not recommended for people with disabilities or age 55+. Not sure if it's the best spot for a romantic getaway although it can work. I highly recommend this vacation home to any family or friends traveling together and looking for adventure.
