This is a great beach cottage! Originally built in the 1950's, the house is a remodel of a chic beach cottage with all modern amenities, INCLUDING WIRELESS INTERNET. The cottage is located on a "beach lane". You stroll a quarter block from your front door down a quaint neighborhood street to a beautiful uncrowded beach.
The cottage is very comfortable. It has two private patios, front and back, and parking for three cars (big plus), bikes and boogie borads ! The ocean and sunset views are spectacular. You can see Ventura Harbor to Catalina & Ana Capa Islands to Santa Barbara... just breathtaking. Ventura is one of the safest cities in America, so you can relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean.
If you want the local town vibe, Main Street is 10 minutes away and offers everything from shopping, restaurants, theaters, jazz and wines bars, spas and coffee houses. You can book a PRIVATE YOGA SESSION OR MESSAGE on the patio. Call in advance for reservations.

My family and I stayed in this beautiful little cottage for the month of June. Even with "June gloom" every day was a treat. My kids loved the beach and parks just a short walk away. My wife and I enjoyed the sunshine, surf, and relaxed attitude of the area. We barbecued nearly every night and sat out on the patio enjoying the cool night air. The decoration was perfect for a beach cottage but possibly too nice for a very active two year old. We just put everything breakable up high. The stay included beach cruisers, body boards, beach towels and umbrellas, etc. The neighborhood is safe and the neighbors are really friendly. I loved this place and would stay here again and again.

Boogie board, sand chairs, beach towels, even bicycles available for use in garage. Could have used a second bathroom but the private outdoor shower is another asset to the property. Cottage clean and comfortable. Neighbors quiet. Close to Harbor, Pier and many great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice owners decorated this 1950's one story 3 bed/1 bath shack in perfect Shabby Chic style. No view of the ocean since it is only one story but the location is convenient to the beach, market, Marina and downtown Main Street. The place is clean and comfortable. You don't have to worry about damaging anything. Put your feet up and hang out. Beds are comfortable and a nice breeze blows from front to back. My mother, sister & I rented it for a week and slept incredibly well here. GREAT for 3 people and would be fine for 2 couples and 2 kids. Technically you could put another 2 on the pull out couch but that would be too crowded in my opinion. Well equipped with BBQ on the front patio, well stocked kitchen, tons of towels, beach chairs/umbrellas/boogie boards. DVD player in the TV, disc supplied to hitch up your laptop to their wiifi. CD boombox didn't work but we survived with our own ipods. Located a short walk from the beach (10 doors down an alley they call a "lane"). Unfortunately, there is a wash at the end of the alley with a concrete structure & stairs you have to maneuver with all your beach gear. No problem if you are young but my Mom couldn't manage it. It is a nice beach with good waves for body surfing and boogie boarding. They do not clean the beach so there is seaweed everywhere. Not crowded - even on the weekends peak season. We had fun. Is a good value. There are $1.5 million homes next door but they would cost double to stay in. So, for the price it is a good deal. The Shabby Chic decor and the fact that the owners have stocked it with everything you would want for a beach vacation makes it a good choice.

This cottage and its location is perfect ! The house is very clean, beds are comfortable, quaint setting and great neighborhood. My husband and I stayed here for our 10 wedding aniversary and were delighted by the accomadations, we booked a week in the Summer.

This is one of the rare rentals that more than lives up to expectations. It is a charming, unpretentious old-fashioned beach cottage, that is extremely comfortable and welcoming. Two patios extend the living space and add to the overall ambience. We liked it so much that we had friends over for dinner to show off what lovely place we had rented. The only downside is that dogs aren't allowed.
