Location: Marshall, San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA (Marshall is 15 min North of Pt Reyes Station on Hwy 1)
Accommodations: House, 1 Bedroom + Sunroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)
Keywords: House
Be nourished by the beauty, sea life and ever-changing water and skies of beautiful, pristine Tomales Bay. House is literally built out over the Bay with floor to ceiling windows out to the water in living and sun rooms. Kitchen has a window looking across the bay and one looking up the Bay and an adjacent laundry area with washer and dryer.
Large deck with charcoal barbeque, soothing glider coach, table and chairs; lower deck has a kayak ramp to the water and beach (at low tide). Wood-burning stove in living room in front of windows makes it a treat to be there in storms, cozily watching the wind and waves move across the Bay as well as when the sun is sparkling on the water. Queen bed in bedroom overlooking gardens. Queen futon in sunroom off deck. Free wireless from all rooms and deck.
Yard is sculpted with lovely gardens and has a private two-person hot tub. Enjoy the peace and quiet and allow yourself to be wooed into "being". It happens naturally. You will not believe a place this natural and untouched could still exist so close to a major metropolitan area. It is perfect for a retreat, romantic get away, or charming home base for exploring the vast offerings of the surrounding areas.
Local excursions in Marshall include the Hog Island Oyster Co., the Marshall Store, the Marshall Boatworks (particularly fun in Herring season), and Tony's seafood. Many great restaurants, some with music, in near by Point Reyes Station, Olema and Inverness. Fun entertainment at the Dance Palace in Pt. Reyes. Great beaches and hiking in the Point Reyes National Park and Seashore across the Bay from Marshall.
Dillon Beach and Bodega Bay are 40 minutes North. Enjoy enzyme baths and massage at Osmosis (30 minutes), winery touring in Napa or Sonoma Valleys (50 minutes), rafting the Russion River (40 minutes), or going into San Francisco or Berkeley which are only one hour.

We had a delightful time. Everything was perfect... except my getting my butt beat by my wife in cribbage. Lots of time lounging on the couch reading and birding. Comfee bed. So sweet! We'll be back soon.

I stay at this wonderful nurturing place every chance I get. I've recommended it to all of my friends, and treated one couple who needed some healing time to a weekend there. It worked its magic. They still remark about it. Nothing else quite matches the peace, tranquility, and natural beauty of this setting (I've stayed at others in the area). The owner has beautifully decorated this comfortable home and infused it with healing energy. My only regret is not finding Raspberry House sooner! I highly recommend this peaceful place on pristine Tomales Bay. Treat yourself or your sweetheart :-) You will want to extend your stay.

Overall, a nice stay with a lovely view in a peaceful location. Close to a lot of activities and the Marshall Store. Jacuzzi wasn't working when we wanted to use it. Would have been nice to have access to the kayaks as well.

"Charming cottage, beautiful location. Watching the fog dissipate in the morning as the bay, hills, and sun emerged with the warmth of your heater made a great way to start a lovely day in a lovely place. Thanks."

"We enjoyed your lovely house which is full of just the serenity we wanted and needed. Thank you for sharing the beauty of the views, the play of light on the water, the element of fire at night."
