The ideal vacation destination for those wishing to discover a lush tropical island in the United States. Sanibel is an island in the Gulf of Mexico that is famous for its shelling (considered one of the best shelling beaches in the world) and natural environments (over 60% of the island is preserved as wildlife conservation lands and includes "Ding Darling" National Wildlife Refuge with guided tours). There are over 23 miles of bike paths for biking, hiking and rollerblading and Segway tours. Nearby are golfing, sailing, water sports, museums (e.g., Edison and Ford Winter Estates, Shell Museum), live theatre, movies, and several major Shopping Centers. With only 44 units and on-site first rate management, Seashells is in demand by the both couples and family oriented groups.
Our unit #15 is a second floor unit and is nicely positioned between the heated pool and a private access to the Gulf just minutes away. We have two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a living room, dining area, and a kitchen. Our living room has a queen-sized sleep sofa and a TV with a DVD/VCR player. The master bedroom has a king-sized pillow-top bed and a TV. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The unit also has a screened porch. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, dishes and utensils.
Seashells has its own tennis courts. Washers and Dryers are in the Management Office next to the pool. The Management Office lobby is open 24/7 and has Wi-Fi access. Also located here are shuffleboard and barbeque grills.

We stayed for a week in May, 2011. The condo is nice and the beds very good. This was a great place as a "home base" from which to see the rest of the island. And we loved the beach access that came with it. Would definitely stay again.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at this unit for 2 weeks and everything was perfect! The location was fabulous, and the condo was adorable. Beds were extremely comfortable and we did not want for a thing. We highly recommend staying here, especially in this unit.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
