We love this little house and have stayed here several times. The owners clearly love their home and take pride in it. To us, this is a perfect beach getaway. Incredible views, history merely steps from your yard and an absolutely beautiful beach, not to mention proximity to one of the most fabulous cities. Sullivans Island is a magical little spot, so close to the city and yet, it's own little town with its own charm. This sweet rental has wonderful memories for us; our son's third birthday, the wedding of our dear friends, lazy afternoons exploring the fort and watching our children play in the ocean. We would definitely recommend this property. It is well described in the listing. It is always clean and comfortable and the owners are responsive and friendly. We look forward to future memories at this charming house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

My wife and I love this charming, cozy cottage. A beautifully restored original beach house with all the modern conveniences added and probably the best views on the entire island! (We've been coming to Sullivan's for 20 years and have rented over 6 different properties around the island). Easy to bike into town or walk the beach to dinner. Great to sit in the Adirondack chairs and watch the world go by. If you want something straight out of a Ralph Lauren ad, this is it! We will be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
Owner response: THank you Scott! We're so happy that you and your family were able to return! We hope to see you all again soon! THank you for the nice comments.

We just returned from a weeks stay at this lovely home in Sullivan's Island. I feel so fortunate to have found this particular spot as I was searching for a rental with few stairs as my elderly father has some mobility issues. I was also looking for a spot that was as far from the Myrtle Beach 'party' scene as possible... somewhere quite and relaxing yet still on the beach and close to Charleston. This home fit the bill perfectly. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. Clean linens, towels and a kitchen stocked with all the basics... pots pans etc. for eating at home if you so choose. Open all the doors and windows and the breeze that blows though will whisk away any stress you may have from your day to day living... it was heaven! The view is also fantastic! Every morning we watched massive container ships slip by as we enjoyed the beach (we spotted several dolphins!) and sitting on the comfortable screened in porch sipping tea by candlelight every evening. As mentioned, it's close to downtown Charleston (about 20 minutes by car) but there are dining options nearby as well as 2 grocery stores on your way onto Sullivan's Island. All in all, this was an excellent value and I would recommend it to anyone searching for a relaxing home away from home. We can't wait to return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I have just booked my second stay in the wonderful place. While I would love to keep this "secret place" all to myself, it is unfair not to share with others who seek respite from the stress of the outside world. The owners have upgraded while carefully maintaining the integrity of the home's historical significance. The result is a comfortable "unfussy" place to relax on the screen porch and read, write, watch the ships come and go from the harbor, or reconnect with family. It is the most perfect place I've found to recall good memories of days gone by and to "re-create" with my Creator......to focus on the spectacular beauty of His perfect gift. I'll be returning often.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5

In my opinion, this is one of the best lots on Sullivan's Island. Thirty yards from a peaceful beach, and far enough south to enjoy views of sunsets over downtown Charleston. The house itself is ultra quiet and has plenty of room for 2-4 people with comfortable beds, great closet space, and a breezy screen porch that overlooks the ocean view. If you are looking for a quiet beach vacation with easy access to all Sullivan's Island, Mt. Pleasant, and Charleston has to offer...look no further this is the place for you.Owner response: Thank you very much for choosing to have your vacation here and your nice comments! Please come back soon! Heather

Great vacation spot! Right beside Ft. Moultrie. Beautiful view of Charleston Harbor, Ft. Sumter, and Morris Island Lighthouse. Rental is beautifully decorated with antiques but is still comfortable for family with children. Screened porch is a delight day and evening. Public access beside the rental is not a high traffic area, which we considered a plus. Fishing and sunning there is wonderful!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Owner info
About the owner: I love to travel to unique and off the beaten path locations. I love antiques, art, and history. My favorite place to visit it Sullivan's Island.
Why the Owner Chose Sullivan's Island:
I have always thought this was the best spot in all of Charleston. When I was younger i would spend long days right in front of this house on the beach. I later beacame engaged at those chairs taht sit by the water. I then had to have the perfect wedding right in the yard overlooking an amazing sunset. Now children have grown to love this home and beach as much as we always have! We spend our anniversary here every year and I love it more and more with each visit.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
This property stands out from other rentals. It is kept very clean and clutter free. The antiques and furnishings are all very nice and cared for very well. I am not only the owner but the property manager. I take a lot of pride in providing great customer service for renters.
