Enjoy the unique experience of Pelican Point. Gorgeous sunrises & sunsets can be enjoyed from 31B due to it's location. Harbor Island is a gated community with well kept grounds and a 3 mile firm sandy beach. This Pelican Point Villa is perfect for a quiet get-away or a family gathering. The four bedroom, three full bath, house sleeps 10-11, in 1 king, 2 queen, 4 twins and a pullout single-bed sofa. It has a fully appointed kitchen and laundry room with washer and dryer. Amenities include: Air Conditioning, New 42in Flat Screen Cable TV, blu ray player,Internet with WiFi Connection, Televisions in 2 bedrooms, Cooking Utensils, Linens provided, Gas Grill under the house. There is parking for 2 cars under the house and three in the driveway. (Bicycles are for rent at the Beach Club). Several boardwalks cross the sand dunes (4 minute walk) and lead to an uncrowded beach, perfect for relaxing. Harbor Island is next to Hunting Island, with its State Park and lighthouse, and within a 20 minute drive to historic Beaufort and Parris Island. Charleston and Savannah (about 1 1/2 hours away) are close enough for day trips. Beaufort is a pre-Civil War town with antique shops and boutiques. Activities on the island include - ocean & pool swimming, beach walking, wildlife viewing, biking, tennis, fishing & crabbing also putting & chipping and a volleyball court. A play area is available, which can also be used for functions. Sea turtle nests are found on the beaches, and are protected by the residents. A beach & racquet club facility comprises - Clubhouse including Fitness Room, large swimming pool with deck area, kids pool & play area. Close by activities include: Pier fishing, kayaking, shopping in Frogmore and Beaufort, Horse drawn carriage, car and walking tours of Beaufort. Tours of the ACE Basin and Inland Waterway can be arranged in Beaufort. Golfing at Parris Island, Fripp Island and 2 others close to Beaufort. Fresh Fish (Gay Fish Co.) is just across the Harbor River Bridge. Be sure to try a Shrimp Burger at the Shrimp Shack just across from Gay Fish Co. The Johnson Creek Tavern, a good family restaurant, is 5 minutes away to your left just outside the Harbor Island gate.
Gate passes are $10 per night for 1-4 nights, $50 per week per vehicle.

Island has a 3 mile beach & a lot of marshland. Beaufort (20 min). Charleston & Savannah (each 90 min) are early settled pre Civil War cities with carriage & guided tours .Deep sea fishing is also available. Nearby island-Hunting- has a State Park & lighthouse. Modern Hilton Head is also 90 min distant.

About the owner: This property is owned by 3 members of one family in Spartanburg SC. plus a doctor friend & another friend from Ohio. We all use the house throughout the year, the remaining weeks are available for rent. We have enjoyed going to Harbor Island for 27 years.
Why the Owner Chose Harbor Island: The house is located such that we have a wide ocean view together with an unrestricted view of the marsh. The house was purchased after reviewing plans for the new Pelican Point area, when the island was being developed.
