A Great Place to Stay

We rented this condo for a week in October. We found the residence to be very comfortable and inviting. Everything we needed was there for us. The location is great with a nice view of the ocean, and just a short block away are the stairs leading down to the gorgeous beach. A few blocks away is "Old Town" Bandon which has some cute and unique shops and good restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

My husband and I rented this propery for one month. The location was very good. I was quite disappointed in the dated and wore out items that were in the condo. The owner did state that she had the carpet cleaned before we rented, but the stains were evident and very noticable. After calling the cleaning person and telling her that I had issues she said that they would replace several of the items that I could not use, which they did. We fully intended to brings our 2 yorkies, but in the rental agreement addendum that was sent to me the day before we left, it stated that we could not leave our pets alone in the condo while we were away. We respected her wish, but we had to kennel them for one month, we were never told any different, until I got back that it would have been alright to leave them in the condo. The addendum we received stating the rules on dogs should have been provided as part of the rental agreement and not as a last minute addendum sheet. Plus, doing such a thing places an undue burden on a renter and substantially altered our financial plans due to the unforseen restrictions. Make VERY SURE you are provided with ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS before you sign the rental agreement. The addendum was provided to us AFTER we had signed and paid for the rental.

Owner response:We have many concerns with this review. She complains about the "dated and wore out items". They are not. She could clearly see the interior with the photos on the web site when she made her reservation. Upon arrival, Nancy complained about a frying pan, a coffee maker and the "color" of a set bed sheets. We don't know why the color of the bed sheets was an issue for her, but we immediately replaced all items of concern. Next, after Nancy read the rental agreement and had concerns with her dogs, why didn't she contact us prior to her arrival. We would have worked something out. We are easy to get along with, as most of our clients know. We have many repeat clients. We find it interestting she waits until after her stay to make her complaints known, except for the frying pan, coffee maker and bed sheets. Nancy has to realize we are not the "Ritz Carlton" as are most privately owned vacation rentals and we recommend in the future she more throughly investigates her rentals to be certain they meet her high expectations. We have owned this unit for 5 years and have never had a complaint.

My family just spent another wonderful weekend at the Bandon condo. The property is always clean and comfortable. We enjoyed wonderful meals off the grill and took time to have fish and chips from the local fish market. Downtown is a nice walk away from the condo, not too far though. You can't go wrong renting here.
