four to six (different days) of we sisters rented this condo for the last leg of our sister/mom family gathering. we only stayed three nights and did not want to leave. the layout, the bfast and dinner table with view of the patio, sand and ocean as well as the bar table on the other side of the room with the same view made for some fine meals and times together. add to that the patio table, the living room gathering spot, the comfy beds and well equipped kitchen (small, galley style) and bathrooms, and we couldn't have asked for more. it was so "beachy" and perfect. to stroll along the boardwalk and soak in sea air, and head to our favorite happy hour spot ("world famous" at the surfer inn for shrimp tacos on tuesday and lobster tacos and lobster bisque on wed) was a true pleasure. watching our early morning riser sister sitting on the sand with cup of coffee in hand gazing at the sea, then all of us joining her for barefoot sand walking, beach games, shell collecting, wading in the waves.... many of those long lasting pleasures that we'll all remember and cherish. we all want to do this again. thanks, jim, for enabling this perfect vacation with your beach condo.

Location amazing! Everything provided! Jim even had a website to order groceries delivered. Wonderful beds and bedding. We hope to make it an annual trip. Thank you for sharing your beach condo.

We just stayed at this wonderful beach rental. The owner was very kind and helpful getting us situated in the house. Our kids loved stepping right outside the condo to play in the sand. The boardwalk was so much fun to cruise along, enjoy sunsets from and people watch. The house is perfect and safe for small children - quiet, all one floor, shades in bedrooms can make the rooms very dark for naptime, has a bathtub, booster seats strapped on nicely to dining room chairs, etc. One thing to note: the garage is tight so we don't recommend driving in a big car or SUV in - luckily we had a sedan. We would definitely rent this comfortable condo again!

Marvelous Mission Beach vacation

Some of my close friends and I just stayed at Ocean Beach Oasis for one week. It is such a homey and delightful place to visit. We felt that we had been so lovingly prepared for. Each girl had a darling little vanity bag waiting just for them. There were beautiful satin hangers provided for our clothes in every closet. The linnens were lovely and plentaful. The kitchen was so thoughtfully stocked with every imaginable helpful item needed to prepare a meal for an intimate group or a large gathering. Our every need was anticipated. The house has such a warm and welcoming feel. It was chilly on a couple of evenings and we lit a cheerful fire in our fireplace. The spectacular ocean view was mesmorizing and we sat for hours watching the dolphins and whales off the Mission Beach shoreline. I would recomment this lovely home to any of my friends. The owners were helpful and prompt with anything we needed. They were so warm and friendly that we soon felt as though they were our special friends. We had a fabulous vacation.

my wife and three small children stayed for a week in august and loved this home. if you want to be right on the beach and look out at the ocean from the front picture window, this place is great. it's also close to everything, including the airport, which is only 15 minutes away. we've done vrbo 10 times or so around the country, and this one ranks near the top.

Summer Vacation

This is my second year to vacation at Mission Beach, the house was exactly as it was described in the listing. We found the property clean and fully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The location was great, close enough to Belmont park but not too close. So convenient, made it easy to frequent the restaurants close by for breakfasts etc. I liked being on the bottom unit, last year we were further south of Belmont and occupied the top unit, not as fun! We appreciated the beach toys, didn't have bring any leaving us with precious space in our already packed car. The teenagers enjoyed the easy access to the beach, so did we as well as the patio for our meals! All in all a great time was had by everyone!

Unhappy Renter

My wife and I stayed here along with two other couples (all in our 30's) back in May. The house itself is great. Great location right on the sand, walking distance to restaurants/markets etc. Our big problem, however, was the owner. First of all, he wanted to know if us couples were married or just dating which we thought was odd but maybe that's just standard I don't know. Then after we began our stay he randomly came by and checked in on us, I'm assuming because he didn't believe the info we gave him. The rest of the weekend we just felt like we were being watched and it made the stay uncomfortable. Then to top it off, HE CHARGED US for a broken screen on a window we didn't even use. Not sure if this is a regular thing he does or what, but if you stay here I would inspect the house thoroughly to find anything broken because he'll make you pay for it. I will definitely be renting again in mission beach, wonderful place, just not at this location.

Owner response:Our screen was not damaged when this renter arrived but was broken when they departed. Unfortunately, we had to charge them for the broken screen and the renter has sour grapes over it. They were met by the owner when they checked-in and that was the only time the owner even met them. The tenants were happy with the actual rental unit, the location, etc. Please check all the other positive reviews on our listing and make your own judgement.

Our family of four had a fantastic one-week stay at the Ocean Breeze Oasis. The location could not have been more ideal for a family with kids - right on the sand, a short walk to Belmont amusement park, and five minutes to Sea World. The accomodations were very comfortable and Jim was very responsive to any questions and issues. We definitely plan to come back!

How lucky we were to find this place - and how unlucky to have had to leave after only one short week! Great location, everything we could possibly need from kitchen equipment to books, games and even fresh cut flowers in all the rooms! This place has it all! We hope we can come again - often.

We stayed at the Ocean Breeze Oasis while at a wedding in the San Diego area for four nights in May. We had both of our sons (25 and 22) with us. The place was perfect for all of us and was everything we expected from the photos. We enjoyed the beachfront access for long walks and the guys did plenty of running either on the beach playing football or running on the boardwalk down to either pier. Lounging on the clean beach was perfect along with the sunsets. The location was perfect for all ages with the restaurants and nightlife for the younger crowd. The location to all of the main attractions (i.e Sea World, zoo, and San Diego harbor)was perfect. The accomodations were just as we expected and we had numerous people ask us about the place as we lounged on the front patio. We would definitely stay there again if in the San Diego area.

We spent a week at Ocean Breeze Oasis in April 2009. We had an incredible time and enjoyed the location of this property. We have never stayed in a property so close to the beach or so close to shopping and dining before. If you have kids that love the beach, this is the place for you. Extremely easy access to many attractions and the boardwalk was a huge plus for us.

After a morning/afternoon of activities (legoland, SeaWorld, Animal Park, etc), the kids loved playing at Belmont in the evenings before sitting down to a dinner that was grilled outside and we could enjoy while watching the sunset over the ocean. The house was well stocked with all the essentials to prep and cook meals and keep things tidy. The owners provided excellent communication and are very responsive. We spent a week here March 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We brought our two daughters, under the age of two, and had fun walking out the front door and being on the beach and hearing the waves crash. Beautiful sunsets and a 1/4 mile walk to fun restaurants, coffee shops and Belmont Park (roller coaster, kids rides, etc) made it very nice. Also a 10 minute drive to Sea World, and the Zoo is a bit further - very convenient location - you could just as easy leave the rental car in the attached garage and not hear car noise your whole time here. The electricity went out on the whole block for a few hours one night (turns out the electric company screwed up doing some repair work) - and we easily found flashlights and candles in the condo - one example that the place has everything you need. Cook out on the grill, grab a beer and relax.

Just returned from a great weekend on Mission beach. The location of this property simplay can not be beat. Walking out the front door to the beach and being within 5 minutes of all the restaurants, stores, and rides was absolutely ideal. You will not find a better place to stay on all of Mission beach. This is the third year in a row we have stayed at Ocean Breeze Oasis and have enjoyed it immensly. We just love being so close to the ocean........it doesn't get any better than this. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to rent in an upscale part of town. I guarantee you will be thoroughly pleased!

This is the second time I stayed at your condo, and I have to say it was perfect each time. Just the fact that all you need to bring is your clothing says alot. What a dream vacation spot! Wake to the gentle crashing of the waves. Dine as the sunsets on the ocean in your front window/patio. Relaxing strolls or bike rides up & down the boadwalk. Step out your front door cross the boardwalk & out to the sand, heaven! I don't EVER want to go home.

The thing I liked most about the house was one day when I was cooking for a large group of guests and everything that I needed I found at my fingertips in that kitchen. We love the San Diego area & have stayed at many hotels. This property was so much better than staying at a hotel. The location is wonderful, being right on the beach & shops etc., are all so close. The home was so comfortable & had so many items available to use, it was just like being at home but on the beach!!!! I would highly recommend this property.

Just celebrated my wife's 30th b-day at Ocean Breeze Oasis - we had an excellent stay. The property was exactly as described and the house was well stocked with all those things you like to have around a home (pots/pans/utensils/books/movies/radio/beach gear/etc). Further, the property is located south of Belmont Park which is quiet yet still close to the Mission beach hot-spots.

I stayed at Ocean Breeze Oasis with some girlfriends in early April. We were having a mini high school reunion. It was the perfect location and the condo was wonderful. We enjoyed the wonderful views. We would definitely return if we were going to San Diego. I recommend this property to everyone.

We just returned from a thoroughly peaceful week at your property and enjoyed every relaxing moment! The beach, weather and location were all perfect! What a perfect setting for our "girl's reunion!" The vacation rental had everything we needed and then some. Very well-maintained and clean with tasteful decor. The Landlord was incredible and conscientious making sure we were comfortable and happy. The rental being right on the water added great scenery and people watching. We got our exercising strolling Mission Bay and it was nice not having to drive anywhere! Shops and numerous restaurants were nearby. I'd highly recommend this extremely nice vacation rental for singles, families and for all ages! We'll be back!
