B&B Riviera 281, is located in Palazzo San Teodoro in the riviera di Chiaia, the residential area bordering on Naples' attractive waterfront,alongside luxury hotels such as the Vesuvio, the Excelsior, the Continental and the Royal.

The palace was designed in the early 19th century by Guglielmo Bechi, the renowned tuscan architect who also designed the Real Villa for the Bourbon Royal family.The main floor of the Palazzo, with its extensive frescoes, is considered one of the most prestigious suites in Naples.

"Riviera 281" overlooks the magnificent gardens of the Real Villa. It is located in the heart of the Naples'waterfront in a highly popular area with visitors.The B&B is easily reached via the Mergellina train Station, the public cable-cars and subways, and the Beverello pier and tourist harbour. Quick connection to Capodichino International Airport are also available.

The owners of the B&B live downstairs, and are always available if needed.The apartment is furnished to create ambiance of comfort, warmth and sophistication. The sea views are irresistible, the sunset spectacular. The rooms have been fitted out using local stone and pieces from the family's furniture collection. The rest of the decor is modern, with an emphasis on comfort and elegance.

Our breakfast are prepared with great care.Joggers and walkers can take advantage of the magnificent Real Villa, conveniently located right across the street, for their early morning exercise. Alternatively there's the "lungomare", a scenic track along the seafront dotted with markets hawking fresh fish.

Within a five minute walk of the apartment, you'll find famous Naples cultural sight such as the Royal Palace, Castel Dell'Ovo, Castel Nuovo-Maschio Angioino, Villa Pignatelli, Pan modern art museum, San Carlo Theater.

Using public buses or "Funicolare", ten minutes further, you'll find the Museo Archeologico and Napoli Sotterranea, the "Madre" modern art museum, and all the huge number of churches and historical palace in the old part of the city.

Pompei,Ercolano, Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia and Procida all maximum 60 minute by ferry or car.We provide all information and help to have wonderful day trips.

  • We stayed 4 days at B&B Riviera 281 in September, 2008. We enjoyed the accommodations more than our previous two weeks in Paris and Southern Italy Timeshares. The English speaking, friendly, knowledgable staff helped us get around the area, an excellent breakfast with a most enjoyable woman, clean, modern rooms, and balconies with gorgeous, relaxing views. A livingroom for guests to enjoy music or read a book; however, the balcony or terrace are a better choice. You will not be disappointed in selecting this B&B.   • I just got back home yesterday from "Bella Napoli". In the past year I have had the opportunity to visit Napoli and I have stayed every time at the B&B Riviera 281, the reason is a very simple why I would not try any other accommodation during my visits, it is simply because of the first class service and quality which is offered by this residence. The first time I visited Napoli it was in 2004 and I stayed in the Excelsior Hotel (5star) which is 5 minutes away from this B&B but after in 2007 I discovered B&B Riviera 281 and I realized that I could stay in a similar beautifully decorated, clean and modern space in a wonderful location which (Chiaia is the best zone in Italy, like Manhattan) allows you to enjoy shopping at the most fashionable and famous designer stores and when you are tired from shopping, you may choose any of the most wonderful restaurants that are located in the walking distance from the B&B, but with a much reasonable rate. You are also located close to many museums. Adding to this, I must mention that you will be taken care by a wonderful lady whose warmth and smile will start your morning following with a delicious Italian breakfast. Also if you have any question you may ask the receptionist who speaks very well English. I could go on about all the details why I recommend this particular B&B but I will suggest to everyone to try it once for themselves and I am sure just like me they will return each time. I personally am looking forward to my next stay.

  • Riviera 281 was recommended to us by friends who visited Naples earlier. Ours was a short stay, three nights in mid-September, 2007, and this quiet, comfortable, value priced B&B made all the difference in the world. It is beautifully maintained by a knowledgeable, friendly, and most helpful staff. We, in turn, have recommended Riviera 281 to our friends and hope to return ourselves.   • We had a wonderful stay in Riviera 281 in February, 2007. It served us with stylish rooms and tasty breakfast. We enjoyed a lovely view of Golfo di Napoli because it is located very near Santa Lucia. Above all, the hospitality of the lady owner was so warmhearted that it is worth visiting again.

  • We stayed at B&B Riviera 281 last August. It was a beautiful place. The place has 3 bedrooms with beautiful huge balconies and outdoor area where you can relax with the view of the ocean. First couple of days, we had the whole house to ourselves. We stayed at the biggest bedroom of 3 since there were 3 of us. The room was huge with large bathroom and has AC and almost separate area where my son can sleep and watch 42 inch flat screen TV. It was in the area just like Madison avenue of NYC, just around the corner there were many designer shops easy to get around to anywhere, all the great restaurant walking distance. We loved the house, we felt like we were living in the Naples. The maid gave us breakfast every morning and a girl who let us in and gave us keys when we arrived spoke great English, gave us lots of great advice for the places to eat. If you are thinking of going to Naples for a long time, stay here, it is nice to be on your own instead of staying at the hotel. The B&B is very beautifully done clean modern apartment,with high end modern furnitures and great rates!!! Internet use is free 247. We always stay at 4 or 5 star hotels when we travel, this place is the 4.5 place for the B&B. We will defnitely stay here again if we go back to the Naples.
