Mas de l'Etoile is situated in its own fenced and gated grounds with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The saltwater pool with its hardwood deck is nestled among the olive trees. It is situated within five minutes walk of St. Saturnin les Apt: a vibrant village, lived in year-round and where you can find two bakeries, a butcher, grocery store, post office and pharmacy and on Tuesday mornings a produce market There are several very good restaurants and many pleasant bars to sit and sip a cafe or a cool glass of rose wine. You can visit the nearby villages of Menerbes,Rousillon,Gordes,Bonnieux and go to their individual Provencal markets. The historic towns Aix en Provence and Avignon are an hours drive from the house.
The Mas is the owner's well-loved vacation home and, apart from the removal of a few personal items, it will remain as it is when the owner is resident. The kitchen, living and dining areas are bright, airy and comfortably and attractively furnished. Two sets of double doors lead off the living area to a large terrace with panoramic views. While overlooking the pool, you can dine al fresco and enjoy the views of the valley, mountains and hillside villages. The terrace is furnished with a dining table, chairs and a parasol to give shade when needed. A separate door leads to the kitchen to give easy access when serving food.
There are three bedrooms: the master bedroom with king-size bed and bathroom en-suite and small balcony; a second bedroom with king-size bed adjacent to a shower room and separate toilet; and, downstairs via circular staircase, a third bedroom with twin beds and adjacent W.C. The downstairs bedroom also has a separate entrance to a small terrace and the pool and garden. PLEASE NOTE that it is approached from inside the house by a circular staircase but there is a seperate entrance to garden and pool area from this bedroom.

What a peaceful place to spend a holiday. Lots to see and do in the area and a wonderfully welcoming house to come back to. We loved to sit on the terrace for our aperitif and then walk to the village for dinner. Kitchen is very well equipped and the butcher in the village has superb meats so it was fun to barbecue too. Beds are king sized and so comfortable not like some of the rentals we've stayed in! We'll be back!

Wow ! If the rating system allowed 10 stars,Mas de L'Etoile would deserve them all. What a wonderful place to relax on the terrace with the fantastic view of the valley below with a glass of local vin or preparing a meal with food from the nearby boucherie and the boulangerie in the delightful kitchen. The house is just great inside and out and very inviting. The very short walk into the old town is easy and full of photo ops. There are neat little shops and good places to eat. Our favourite is the St Hubert Hotel (say hello to Michel) and try the fish of the day! Each day a different town would have an open air marche and they were all very interesting. We liked the close one in Apt and the one in St Remy,a bit of a drive but well worth it. Make sure to visit all the little villages in the surrounding area. You will never get tired of exploring. Staying here is truly and unforgettable experience
