A superb Luxury apartment with every conceivable item for a comfortable stay. Well equiped kitchen with top of the range white goods and plenty of crockery and glasses etc for a family of 8. Modern dining area and sitting room, again with lovely comfortable safa and chairs. Top of the range TV with HD, Humax satelite system and playstation 3, enough to keep the kids and a few adults happy. Channels all in English. All bedrooms were an excellent size and modern with excellent mattresses. Kids will love the huge bunkbeds. Main bedroom also has a en suite with a power shower and HOT running water which is a novelty in Spain. Then there is the extension room which is excellent for guests who want a breeze running through the room, although the air conditioning is excellent throughout the whole apartment. This room also has the Glass curtains which open fully to let in the air and light and a fantastic view of the sea. What better than a long day on the beach and coming back to the Hot Tub and have a large gin and tonic. Absolute HEAVEN !! The free parking space was also a boon and had the addition of secure parking and a security guard patrolling the premises 24 hours. The owners were easily on hand by phone and email and kept us updated throughout the whole booking process. I would highly reccommend this apartment to anyone looking for a home from home that has everything required for a fantastic stay and is within walking distance of the lovely town and beach area. La Canasta cafe is excellent for beers and a snack, Grill de la Cala was great for dinner in the evening, very friendly staff and very good value for money. The small town has plenty of bars, restaurants, banks and supermarkets for anyone who does not want to leave the area or do not have their own transport. Cannot wait till we return again in March 2013 Thank you Einar and Sophie for an excellent holiday. John and Eddie (Scotland)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.

My wife and I stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks at the tail end of the tourist season and what a fantastic stay it was. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony soaking up the afternoon and evening sun while sipping wine and just relaxing. The apartment is very clean and has great amenities. We would rent this place again. Oh, and the location is also very convenient to the local town, beach and shops.Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with future guests. We stayed in one of Sophie & Elnar's apartments in September, It was our first stay in Cala De Mijas the apartment was like home from home with all mod cons.The Hot Tub on the balcony was a lovely touch. The pool area is lovely and very child friendly with plenty of grass area's for children to play on. There are plenty of Restaurants & Bars within walking distance & the Beach is 10 minutes away. We would definitely book these apartments again as they are absolutely beautiful. We would like to say a big thank you to Sophie & Elnar for all their help from the moment we booked nothing was to much trouble for them. Staying in this apartment was great from start to finish. Nobody wanted to leave when it was time to go home. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, all layed out ready for us to use. From the terrace you can see the sea, and it was only a short walk down to the beach. Inside the complex there are two great pools, we used the closest one all the time.. 5 STAR experince, highly recommended..Owner response: Thank you for your stay and for taking the time to write a review. This was truly a holiday we will remember! Here we had a blast from the first second. Upon arrival we were very well received and given a brief guided tour of the complex and amenities. We got a good description on how to use everything in the apartment, including a large Jacuzzi on the veranda. There was also a very helpful folder with simple instructions for less "technical gifted " people like myself. We were also tipped off about where in the town we could find places that were of interest to us. The kids were quick to explore the pool area and the fact that it was a salt water pool was a huge plus! No chlorine to bleach the long awaited tan. Having acquainted ourselves with the housing development, we went for a walk down to the beach area. The beach was really great with pleasant sandy bottom and it was also possible to rent sun beds and pedal boats on the beach. On our way back to the apartment we also went by the local supermarket Mercadona, which had both a good selection and good prices. We probably spent about as much time at the pool as on the beach, and we could not have had it better! The storage room down in the garage was stocked with various beach games and also a big umbrella that we took with us down to the beach. This is highly recommended and very comfortable to be able to choose some shade now and then. The pool had straw umbrellas and beach chairs ready to use for all. The apartment had every comfort we could wish for. We used the TV, playstation, movie selection and our computers on the wireless network. This is an apartment I can recommend to everyone, and we had such a great time that none of us wanted to go back home when the holiday was over. We are sure to return again as soon as possible!Owner response: Wow! What a review! Nice appartment, we had a real good stay. Easy to live in with children (7 and 9 years old). The kids enjoyed the pool - and the jacuzzi. "We have just arrived back home, after 2 wonderful weeks in La Cala de Mijas. The apartment was superb, almost too big for just two people, but it was nice with the extra space. Being there in June seemed to a perfect time for those of us who are not 18 anymore. At times we had the pools all to ourselves, with peace and quiet. The last week we were there, a few more people started arriving, including a few Brits, and Norwegians with young children. The distances were ideal to restaurants, and since we also had a rental car, we could take advantage of the sales at MiraMar and the low-price chain Lidl. Don’t be surprised if you see us again soon. The apartment was just as pictured on the website, absolutely perfect. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and had a wonderful time (5 ladies on a birthday celebration). The apartment was very clean and well kept. It had everything you could wish for and was a real home from home. The quilts and pillows were the softest I have had on holiday and made it a struggle to get out of bed, or was that the late nights!!! The hot tub was perfect and we spent the first evening just chilling in the lovely hot water drinking wine and chatting. The kitchen was so well equipped that we shopped at the local market and shops and cooked all our own meals. We sat at the table on the balcony to eat just chilling and chatting with the lovely view of the sea in the distance. The location was perfect with just a 10 minute stroll to the beautiful beach and a mere 5 minutes to a small selection of bars and a nightclub. The town was lovely, not too big or commercial and we had a lovely stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the apartment and the area. The owners, Sophie & Einar, responded to our email queries promptly in spite of the time difference and provided first class information on everything. After searching for ages for the perfect place to take my parents, my brother and his wife, I came across Oasis Cala de Mijas. I have to say from the beginning I was so happy on arrival at what we were met with, the apartment was clean and well prepared for our arrival, even the basics in the fridge and cupboards to get us started, (beer and coffee and tea) The rooms are fantastic, perfect for 3 couples or 6 people, and in fact, if needed you could get 8 people in, would be a bit of a squash, but 8 could fit. As I said, everything was clean and well prepared for us. As none of my family had not been to Spain before, it was important to have a central location, ad well, we could not have been more central, basically everything we wanted to do was within a 30 min radius of us, perfect. All in all, a perfect holiday and family reunion. Thank you to Sophie, Einar and the team, we will be back next year. Take care. About the owner: My name is Sophie and I was born and raised outside of Stockholm, Sweden. I love riding horses, traveling, and exploring. My Norwegian husband and I currently reside in Washington, US, and fly back home to Europe at least a couple of times per year.
Why the Owner Chose Mijas Costa:
When we were looking for a home to purchase in Costa del Sol, we searched all the cities, up and down the coast. When we found La Cala de Mijas it was no longer a question of what town to buy in, but what apartment complex to call our home. We quickly found Oasis Cala de Mijas, which is a high quality, low quantity complex, built with care and consideration. Only 30% of the property is built upon, leaving 28,000 square meters of well kept sub-tropical gardens, including 2 saltwater pools.
Our two apartments are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor, both accessible via an elevator. The entire complex is handicap accessible, and ideal for families traveling with children. You do not need a car while staying here, as you can walk from the apartment to just about everything, including the beach, bars, golf, restaurants, retails stores and more.
