  We stayed in such a wonderful home. Really welcoming with all the amenities you need to hunker down and relax. Not only was it the perfect weather (in January!!!), we had gorgeous views of the ocean and spent 90% of our time on the balcony enjoying a cook-out in the early evening and star gazing at night. It was beautifully furnished, very clean, spacious and included everything needed for a wonderful stay. Space is flexible enough that a couple could enjoy it on their own with it being 'too much' or a larger group could find room to not be on top of one another. The well-stocked kitchen especially came in handy for keeping everyone fed and entertained. Owners were responsive and thorough in their communications - making this, our first experience renting from an individual, an easy one. Honestly we couldn't ask for a better vacation. Thank you.

  This house has everything you could possibly need. Bring your stress & be prepared to leave it at the door & fill your mind with relaxation. The accommodations are excellent, the location is perfection. This is a vacation home with owners that have given a lot of thought to making you as comfortable as possible. Most importantly this home was very clean! It was refreshing to realize that everything we could possibly need was provided for us. It was hard to find a home or condo on Tybee Island that could fit up to 10 people and reasonably priced so this was amazing! Renting places over the internet can be scary, but this home fit the description and exceeded our expectations! The privacy was great for our family and it was nice to all be together in one place. The 3 1/2 baths definitely helped with a large family. The Wi-Fi was a great bonus for the younger teens. It was nice to have a grill in the back courtyard with lots of outdoor seating. Overall it was a very pleasurable experience that our family will remember. I'm hopeful that this home rents for many years to come.

  Nothing but great things to say about this house. Captain’s View is the perfect spot to get away from the crowds and relax. Just pack your clothes because everything you need is provided in this well-furnished home, including a fully stocked kitchen. We slept 8 people and I never felt cramped. The owners came over and checked to make sure everything was OK. This place was so well taken care of and clean. I highly recommend this house - so nice and quiet. We also got to see dolphins in the water. It is a great area to take pictures, if you really like photography too. Thank you.

  We have stayed in many upper end rental properties over the years. The property is tired and suffers from a lack of basic up keep. There is a large hole in the roof (it leaked when it rained), the decks & deck railings need either paint or stain (lots of splinters for the grandkids), with many nail pops. The down stairs bathroom was painted, except around the toilet, where the old wall paper was left behind and around. One gutter was missing and boards were delaminating in several rooms. We have lots of pictures, but are not allowed to post. A great location, the house is in disrepair. Worth about 1/2 of asking rental price

  Owner response: We were very surprised and disappointed with the review. We received calls from all of the neighbors and the head of the association because these guests parked a large boat in the yard which is against the city ordinance. They also parked more than the allowed number of cars at the property and had more than the maximum allowed number of guests in the property. We state in the guest rental agreement that all of these things are not allowed. They took the keys to the property which is a $50 charge. We sent our housekeeper to the property to ask if everything was OK and they said everything was great. It was not until we charged them for the keys they took that they placed this bad review. Very disappointing that people will abuse your property and be dishonest.

  Wow what a great place for a family vacation. Our week at the house was a great experience. Everything about the house was exactly as advertised. The house was clean and everything was in good working order. The owner was very helpful, providing advice for enjoying our stay. All total, there were four families there for the week and the house provided all the room and comfort we needed.

  We had a great week! This was our second year renting this property and once again we loved it. The house is so spacious and lovely. Four bedrooms with three full bathrooms were so great; lots of room for my kids to spread out. It was great to have two kitchens as our family tends to cook most nights on vacation. Upon our arrival, everything was sparkling clean. Easy walk to the beach. We had three generations of our family from 2 to 70 and each and every one of us had a great time. Owners were very quick to respond to our questions and provided us with lots of information to help make our vacation very enjoyable. We are looking forward to a return visit to this location next year. A wonderful vacation!

  We returned from a most enjoyable long weekend! The home is in a wonderful location (north beach), just perfect for great walks! The neighborhood is residential, very quiet. Inside you will feel most comfortable with cozy places to sit and visit or other inviting spots to catch up on your reading. Plenty of room for our party of 7 adults both young and not-as-young! The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The kitchen was a wonderful place to cook and spend time together. The dining area was lovely too. The owner was most helpful and patient with answering my questions and with every step in the rental process! The entire home was immaculate upon arrival and we have absolutely no complaints. The house was amazing and I only hope that we can return in the future.

  We stayed here for six nights in September and had a great experience. After a long drive from New York, arriving at the House and being met by the beautiful views and having the Sea right there was a trip well worth every mile. I read the great reviews on this house and booked it on the great comments. I am always a bit nervous trying a new property but I need not have worried. The house was the most amazing and relaxing place I have been to, it was clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Our vacation was a wonderful relaxing time and would love to return the next time we are in the area.

  We recently spent a week in the house and were disappointed in the overall condition of the house as well as the cleanliness of the house upon our arrival. The pictures lead you to believe that this is a wonderful home at a great value with a short walk to the beach. The house is in terrible need of repair, both inside and out and is frankly not worth the premium price we paid for the week, which does not include internet service. Although the location on the north point of the island is very quiet and has a good view of the turtle pond, the nearest entry point to the beach is actually the place where the river and the ocean meet....not really a good beach spot. The other entry was all the way down the street and over the dunes, which was quite a walk for someone with small children. I would not stay in the house again unless the price was slashed significantly.

  Owner response: This review comes as such a shock. Unfortunately some guests look for issues in order to get money refunded. They didn't contact us about a cleaning issues or something else during their stay and we have just good reviews about this house on North beach.
