Relax in a secure gated complex, off the beaten path. This third floor condo (via steps or elevator) has great ocean views from our private balcony. We also have a pair of nesting Osprey just outside our window! This is an end unit offering the largest floor plan with lots of windows. The master bedroom has a king size bed and attached master bath. The 2nd bedroom has 2 twins(can be converted to a king)with a private entry into a shared bath with jacuzzi. There is a sleeper sofa, full blowup mattress and pack-n-play crib, booster seat and umbrella stroller.
With the high cost of airline baggage fees, we have tried to supply many of the things you may not wish to pack. Beach towels, blow dryer, baby stroller, beach toys, etc. And to help keep your grocery expenses down, you’ll find the cupboards stocked with many of your basic staples such as salt, pepper, seasonings and spices, sugar, flour, cooking oils etc. Extras with a value!
Enjoy beach-side sunrises and beautiful ocean views. Ocean Pointe Resort is a tropical retreat that offers a private sandy beach with tiki huts and barbecue grills, a Junior Olympic-sized pool, a deep-water marina, tennis courts, a fishing jetty, fish cleaning station, kayak rentals, playground, and much more. Cook your own meals or enjoy the marina-side cafe.
For the adventurous, Ocean Pointe is convenient to many fine and unique Keys restaurants, entertainment, shopping, scuba diving, snorkeling, para-sailing, jet skiing, fishing, sailing, boating, kayaking, casino cruises, bike rentals, Harley rentals, and golf (25 miles). You are located just a few minutes from Pennekamp State Park and Marine Sanctuary where water sport rentals including canoeing and kayaking are available. Swim with the dolphins at "Dolphins Plus" in Key Largo, the "Dive Capital."
Ocean Pointe is only 30 miles south of the Everglades and Biscayne National Park. Islamorada, just ten minutes toward Key West, is known as the "Fishing Capital of the World." Take a beautiful two-hour drive down US 1 to scenic and historic Key West.

Why the Owner Chose Tavernier
It only took one visit to Ocean Pointe Suites and we were hooked! The grounds are a beautiful mix of color, lush and well manicured. Pride of ownership is apparent throughout the community. We were taken with the well cared for amenities, particularly the pool, beach and tennis courts and since we are a boat owner, we were happy to have a complex that welcomes boats. We were thrilled to find a highly desirable end unit on the 3rd floor available. Now, fondly called..."Our Paradise Point".
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
There are many features in this condo that our guest will appreciate. It is an end unit which provides the largest floor plan. It has windows on three sides providing for a bright cheery space and views all around. All windows open, so you can enjoy those wonderful tropical breezes of the Keys. Our 3rd floor condo offers a fabulous ocean view and you'll get to know your neighbors, the Ospreys, who have a nest just a short distance from our private balcony. The condo is equipped with all the comforts of home and has plenty of room and sleeping options for a group of six. We also provide our guest with a pack-n-play and highchair/booster seat for little ones. We are located ocean side and have a beautiful beach just a short distance from our condo. There is a fishing jetty extending into the ocean which is not only great for fishing but for catching the sunset as well. The Tavernier/Key Largo area is easy to get to. It's convenient to both the Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports. The activities in the area are boundless and US-1 offers unlimited ocean views and activities all the way to Key West.

We're Greg and Stevie, that's short for Stephanie! We like to joke that we've been married all our lives. It's been a long time :) We have two daughters and three grandchildren and we're happy to have earned the names, Granny and PaPa. We grew up in Michigan and Ohio and as kids we didn't mind the cold snowy winters. We had a great time playing in the snow, ice skating, skiing and sledding. But now days we enjoy spending our winters in the warm tropical breezes of the sunny Florida Keys. Fishing, biking, snorkeling, roller blading, playing tennis, kayaking and of course enjoying the fresh catch of the day. It's all right here on USA soil and easy to get to by plane or car.

Thank you for sharing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Th Osprey pair provided hours of entertainment. This was a great home base for checking out the Keys. Check out No Name Pub on Big Pine Key..it's hard to find but well worth the drive.

This is a great little spot to rest after your adventures in the Keys! Owners were amazing to work with. The condo is clean, well kept and very much like a home away from home. We plan to visit again at the first opportunity.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The condo was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. It was a 2 minute walk to the pool and a ten minute walk to the beach. We went off season so it was also very quiet, and a few times we had the beach all to ourselves for hours. I would stay here again in the future.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
