Cedar Keys - Nature's Coast.
The fishing and bird watching is great in Cedar Key. Our home has an unsurpassed wilderness view with absolute breathtaking sunsets of the Gulf of Mexico from every room in the house including our large screened-in porch and our outside deck area. The Rye Key gated-community is only two miles from downtown Cedar Key, giving the privacy and easy access only Rye Key can provide. Bald eagles, ospreys, pelicans, hawks and wading birds are just a sample of the bird life seen on any given day from the deck. We have seen over 15 different species of birds while enjoying our morning coffee.
Our two-bedroom, two-bath home includes a king-sized bed in one room and two single beds in the other bedroom. The bedrooms are separated by the great room consisting of the dining, living and kitchen area. The home is furnished in an ocean/tropical theme with a wood burning fireplace and an outdoor gas grill.
The fully electric kitchen includes stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware and plenty of utensils. The house has central heat and air, cable, DVD player, VCR, stereo receiver, and telescope. Our side-by-side washer & dryer are located in a separate area from the main room and we have ample covered parking. Downstairs storage area includes three bicycles for easy access to surrounding area.
Cedar Key has excellent flats fishing for spotted sea trout, redfish, Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, and blue fish. How do you catch fish in Cedar Key? Ask us, we have over 30 years of fishing experience in the Cedar Key areas. Other activities in town include: day shopping, excellent restaurants and nature trails. And the local seafood is fantastic.

I loved your darling little gulf-marsh-retreat-on-stilts and enjoyed my short (sadly) stay. I got a lot of work done while there (report writing etc.), as well as a few hours of enjoyable dining and hiking (thanks for the restaurant suggestions!). Thanks again, I’m hoping my clients will extend my contract allowing me to revisit Florida soon. If so, I definitely plan to sneak a few days to Cedar Keys!

The Borkowski's brought their one year old black lab "Albie". "We took the Island Hopper boat ride which was fun. The golf cart ride around the island was a nice thing to do and Albie enjoyed it too. The weather stayed between 65 and 75 degrees. Now we'll have to head back home to freezing temperatures - hopefully no more snow."
