"A Little Bit of Heaven" is a beautiful secluded vacation home nestled in the Smoky Mountains close to gem mining, The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, wonderful waterfalls, and antiquing.
This home has a view from the deck that will take your breath away in the day and leave you awe struck at night. The distant lights of the town of Franklin can be enjoyed every evening from the deck. This property has wonderful country roads to enjoy a hike after dinner yet is close and easy to get to.
We built this home with vacation in mind. Lots of room for the whole gang. Enough parking for everyone. Although there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, you can spend your whole vacation and never leave the mountain.
There is entertainment for the whole family. Pool table and ping pong. Dinner on the deck is one of our favorite activities. Come find out what the Great Smokey Mountains are famous for!

Why the Owner Chose Franklin
In the late 70's we helped our parents build their first NC Mountain home in Robinsville. After my father-in-law passed away we encouraged Mom to sell the Robinsiville home. It only took us a few years to realize how much we missed the beautiful NC Mountains. We decided that we were always taking day trips from remote Robinsville to Franklin where it seemed everything was happening. It only made sense to build the next house in the beautiful quaint town of Franklin. We took the plans from the original house and expanded it and made it a true NC home. We designed it to accommodate our own family reunions. There is plenty of space for the whole gang and lots to do right at the house or in the surrounding area. Our view will knock your socks off and secluded enough that you feel like you are the only ones on the mountain. We never intended to rent our home so this home is a little nicer than most, with Corian counter tops and upgraded appliances. We decided to share it with others as it was a shame to not have it used until we can be up there full time.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our favorite activities at our "Little Bit of Heaven" is: Eating meals out on the deck and watching the sun set. Taking walks after dinner on the quiet road in front of the house.
I love challenging what ever guests or family to a game of pool in the evening. I must say my personal favorite is to wait until everyone has gone to bed and sit out on the deck and watch the lights of the town of Franklin. It is so quiet and the solitude is indescribable!!
We also like going to "Picking on the Square" on Saturday nights in Franklin. We love going white water rafting on the Nantahala. Our goal is to learn to Fly Fish in the local streams. We also like finding new places to hike and my personal favorite is to photograph all the cool waterfalls in the area.

Perched on the side of a mountain, this place is ideally situated in an Edenic locale, and it just might be among the best of it's kind. The house was lovingly built with little unexpected details all over the place, and it has been carefully decorated with little homey touches throughout. Everything just says, "Welcome." One can very easily settle in and feel right at home. And the deck: A panorama of heaven. I bet the fall colors would just knock your socks off!!

I don’t know where to start what a warm and cozy home; we love every detail in the house. All the rooms are decorated beautifully, sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view was just breath taking. The large basement with a pool table and ping pong table was entertaining and the sound system was an added touch. Thanks for sharing your “Bit of Heaven” with others who truly appreciated all the detail work that went into this beautiful home.

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay...and it was indeed a bit of heaven! The home was as described and lacked nothing. It was clean, spacious and well decorated. Our only regret was that we didn't book for longer! You WILL enjoy staying here.

We loved your home! The windows looking out over the mountains made God's handiwork breath taking. The whole house sound system was a double blessing. Thank you!

The best thing we liked about the house was "THE VIEW!!!" Everything was lovely! The only minor thing that we found missing was utensils for the grill.

We liked virtually eveything about your house. A nice surpirse was th whole house stereo system. The kitchen appliances are very nice. Deck furniture is very comfortable. Master bedroom could use a cedar closet for linens, other than that everything was great!

We really enjoyed our stay at your mountain home. Our two grandsons are "pros" now at ping pong. The twins already want to know when they can go back to "Grandma's barn house". We all went to the pond on the property as well as the waterfall. It was great having our family together.
